I had a nightmare of an experience with Valley Emergency Pet Care. I would highly recommend you take your pet any place but, here! Let me first start by saying I am going to file a formal complaint with the Colorado State Board of Veterinary Medicine against both the facility, and the Veterinarian Sara Bresse (you can also, view her profile on LinkedIn I know she "fills" in at many different EMERGENCY Hospitals. Apparently this was Sara's first time here, as she primarily works in the Denver Metro Area. I am saying this so you BEWARE of your Vet (double check you do not have her). I was told this is a Pathways Organization. Along with that, let me note their Office Manager Serena in my opinion has been working in emergency veterinary care far too long as she was obviously had become so callus on a family's pet has surgery that could potentially save his life, or if said pet is euthanized. Sara, the Vet suggested either 1.) Emergency exploratory surgery ($2,500-3,500) due to what could " possible be" a bowel obstruction or 2.) Euthanasia. Oliver was seen at his primary Vet less than thank 48 hours later and he was given a clean bill of health. Had we taken the advice of the Vet or the facility's advice we would have lost our puppy dog. What horrible professional guidance!

    Forever in my heart.

They aren't even open. The valley needs 24hr vet care, please sell it to someone who is willingly to provide this for our pets.

Red Hill nearly killed my cat…read more The "care" at this facility sent my loved 13 year old cat to the V.R.C.C. Emergency Hospital, starving, malnourished, dehydrated, and hanging on by a thread. Here are the facts: - Red Hill never read my cats previous medical records. - They repeatedly dismissed our urgency to diagnose and treat our cat. - They took an entire month to run basic tests (I.e. bloodwork, fecal analysis, etc.) - They placed him on a strict diet for 8 weeks which HE WAS NOT EATING and ignored his severe weight loss. (He has always been healthy at around 10-11 lbs and was 7.95 when we got to the V.R.C.C. in Englewood.) And finally, - They claimed that "the lack of doing anything to help our cat is not negligence." I would recommend to anyone considering this facility or currently being seen at this facility, to run as fast and far away as humanly possible. This place is a disgrace to veterinary care, and it is astonishing that they are still allowed to practice medicine of any kind. 1 star was an obligation as a review cannot be posted without a rating. I also want to add that I have nothing to gain personally from posting this review. My only goal is to share our terrifying experience, so hopefully nobody else EVER has to endure what we did.

I had the misfortune of having to go to her office for quarantine paperwork and testing. At my first appt, the doctor left the premises right before my appt citing "an important errand" only to return 45 minutes later with beverages in her hand; she and her assistant had made a snack stop besides the errand, meanwhile I am waiting in my car for the appt to begin. She was unable to perform a simple procedure of scanning my dogs' original micro-chips and refused to acknowledge her faulty equipment therefore requiring that I put in new micro-chips. In subsequent visits to 3 different vets, all picked up the original micro-chips immediately. She also did not follow procedure during the appt by taking blood work first before scanning the micro-chips and confirming their identity and previous paperwork matched, so I was forced to continue with her because she had already charged for the blood work. When I heard one of the dogs screaming in the exam room and I asked if I could come back and hold him she said, "no, you may not". She made rude and negative comments to me throughout the whole process. She made me feel like the project was a nuisance and a huge bother for her, rather than her job. She acted overworked, bothered and disagreeable at every question or request I had. By the time I left, 4 hours later, I was glad to get my dogs out of there and never see her again. Except I did have to go back to get paper work that she wouldn't print out at the end of the appt because she was in a hurry to go home. Absolutely no bed-side manners!!

PET EUTHANASIA SERVICES…read more Several weeks ago we were faced with the terrible need to put my dog and best friend to sleep due to illness. After a long conversation with our regular vet we decided to do what was needed where Mac was most comfortable and relaxed in his home of over 13 years. He recommended a call to to CodaPet where relevant info was taken by a very professional and respectful front office person in Denver and told us we would receive a call back from the vet who would be performing the needed services. Shortly after we received a call from Dr. Alicia and we talked in the most sensitive way about our concerns and needs for our family member. The next day she came to our home at exactly the appointed time and we reviewed the plan and what we wanted. Her empathy for us was extraordinary while she did what was needed. Since the event she has communicated thoughts and feelings to us in writing following the whole experience. I don't wish anyone to have to go through this kind of experience but the services we received were more than we ever expected for our dog and his family. The process was professionally done from beginning to end with incredible empathy for all concerned. In fact we expressed our gratitude to Dr. Alecia for her gift to Mac and us. We as a family highly recommend CodaPet and their team of professionals.
