I found Valley differentials on yelp! I travel for work and really rely on yelp to find trusted places. Literally can't say enough good things about Myles and his little shop here in Stockton! I rolled into town with a rear differential on my jeep going out... I just had it serviced at the dealership back home and the dingleberries forgot to put oil back in the Differential! And of course they gave me every excuse under the sun other than that they made a serious mistake! There was a bit of a wait to get into Valley differential, but it was worth it. this is a review many years in the making. recently had to go to stockton for something and came out to old west ln. i guess valley diff isn't there any longer. but pleased to see they are still in stockton. i took my 1996 chevrolet impala SS to get new diff put in many moons ago. at the time i was living in oakland; some folks referred me to miles saying he's best in the biz. i remember miles being a kind fella and easy to talk to. definitely got my supersport right. these days i'm in sacramento, and i still have my super sport. i know if i need to get something done for the rear end, i'll definitely give miles a call. read more

Went here based on 5 star rating for regearing and lsd's put on my 2017 Jeep Wrangler. The customer service is excellent and patient with questions. Edit: Bumped to 4 stars. Little time puts things in to perspective. Myles is a good guy who did good honest work. I don't know who is really to blame for all this, but I'm gonna give them the benifit of the doubt. The price was decent and they are pretty friendly. It took way longer to get the part than expected, and they told me it was Maita Subaru to blame for many reasons (read my review of them to see it). Based on the horror stories there I don't see being lied to by Valley Differentials. The delay kept mkney out of his oocket and me out if a car. I would have to call them for updates since he always seemed to forget calling me back the next day, but it wasn't horrible. If you have any need what so ever for differential repair, service, inspections, you name it... Myles at Valley Differential is absolutely your man for the job!! I cannot stress enough just how great of a guy he is and his work is as solid as it comes. Not to mention he backs up all of his work 100% with the included warranty. He did a full build in my 1972 Pontiac GTO/Lemans which included all bearings, seals, Eaton posi, and 3:55 gears. It was an 8.25 BOP rear and required a different yoke that would he would have had to order and would have delayed things, but Myles being the great guy he is, he was able to make a few calls around to friends in the industry and found me a yoke to be compatible with my requested gear setup. To top it all off.... he didn't charge me one penny over the original quote, and even got it done before the date promised. Once done he took the time to chat about proper additive (FORD friction modifier), proper break-in, and any other questions I had throughout the whole thing. The Lemans is still going strong and that was over 6 years ago! I have made it a point to tell anyone and everyone I talk to that I know needs some type of differential related work, or plans on getting some work in the future about Myles at Valley Differentials, and when I saw his business listed here because I needed his number to call about some work on my truck, I wanted to make sure to take the time to leave him a review here as well because I cannot say enough good things about Myles, his business, and the way he conducts himself and his business in general. If you read nothing else just know this... A++++ work, great guy, completely fair prices, solid quality work, and the last mechanic you will need as far as anything differential related!! A++++++ Highly recommend I needed to change my gear ratios for my 2010 GMC Sierra to tow a trailer that was a little heavy for my truck. Valley's quote was lower than all the other guys I had contacted, so I elected to have Valley do the work. Little did I know that GMC had a specialty transfer case required to complete the gearing change. Rather than put spacers in and complete the work on the cheap, Miles special ordered the expensive part and completed the work quickly without even batting an eye. Even offering to cover the additional cost of the part. A real stand-up guy and even better mechanic. I was blown away by the level of the work and attention to detail that Miles put into my truck. I accidentally pulled my front cv axle on my Nissan Armada for doing some suspension wrk myself, i tried put back in, but it was wobbling and leaking little trans fluid. I took it to the dealer and they want $2+k to put a used one. Went to 3 mechanics and told me the same thing. I can't tell you how pleased I am with Valley Differentials. I had them work on my 57 Ranchero. Needed to have higher gears installed. Miles did a great job and was always pleasant. Everytime I've talked t him on the phone, he has been very polite and helpful. When he did the gear change he found some other issues. He showed me what they were and made the repairs. He showed me the old parts that came out. The before and after difference was incrediable. Besides the gearing difference which I would expect, the car was so much more quiet when driving.
