The seamstress agreed to make a minor change that she thought would take care of the fit issue. When I came back the second time, she had taken in the dress in the back so that it now fit me perfectly! I was so pleasantly surprised! In addition, she didn't charge me at all for this extra work. (I guess that's because we hadn't agreed on it.) I was very impressed at the thoughtfulness, consideration, and care she took with this dress! I try not to buy clothes that need cleaning but I borrowed an outfit from my friend, and wanted to return it all nice an professionally cleaned. I had an awful experience here. The woman who runs this dry cleaner seems pleasant at first, but as…read moresoon as she had to deal with a problem, she became rude, condescending, and extremely unprofessional. I came in to have a pair of shorts altered. When they were ready, the back of the shorts was bunched in the middle, making it look like the shorts were permanently wedged in an awkward place. When I pointed this out to the owner, she looked at it for a minute but then said that she could not fix it. I asked for a refund since the shorts were now unwearable. She began to berate me in a loud voice, talking over me for the next thirty minutes. When I tried to explain to her why I couldn't wear the shorts, she responded "That's your problem, not my problem." She also told me "You do not think" and "I'm going to educate you about how things work." I became visibly upset and asked her to please stop speaking to me this way and just to refund my money. She said no again and "People like you only think about yourself." This personal attack came completely out of nowhere and felt very unprofessional. In the end, she only gave me half of my money back, and I'm left with a pair of shorts that I still can't wear. I wish I'd never trusted this place with my clothing. I do not recommend having alterations or dry cleaning done here. Instead of correcting a mistake, they will attack you and blame you for the problem.

We had decided to not sew it back on because we thought it would look ok without it. Sue told us she would hold onto the trim just in case we didn't like the way it looked without it. When we went back to try the dress on and pick up, Sue had sewn the horsehair back onto the dress because she didn't think it looked good without it. The dress turned out beautifully! I am so grateful to Sue for doing such a great job and genuinely caring that the dress looked perfect, even knowing that she had already priced out the job for me and how much extra time went into it!!
