The seamstress agreed to make a minor change that she thought would take care of the fit issue. When I came back the second time, she had taken in the dress in the back so that it now fit me perfectly! I was so pleasantly surprised! In addition, she didn't charge me at all for this extra work. (I guess that's because we hadn't agreed on it.) I was very impressed at the thoughtfulness, consideration, and care she took with this dress! Took a cocktail dress to be cleaned. The dress had a pin professionally sewn to it and I told the…read moreowner to please not remove the pin (which had rhinestones and pearls on it.) I asked that it be covered during cleaning but not removed. When I picked the dress up I saw that the pin had been removed and sloppily resown. Threads and stitches were visible and the pin was exposed on the inside, which was not the case when I brought it in. I was told that they did the best they could and she did not know why I had a problem with it. I will now take it back to my dressmaker to have it attached properly and pay for attaching it a second time. I will never go there again!

The bottom…read moreof the dress had a stiff trim (horsehair) sewn into the hem that needed to be cut off in order to do the alterations. We had decided to not sew it back on because we thought it would look ok without it. Sue told us she would hold onto the trim just in case we didn't like the way it looked without it. When we went back to try the dress on and pick up, Sue had sewn the horsehair back onto the dress because she didn't think it looked good without it. The dress turned out beautifully! I am so grateful to Sue for doing such a great job and genuinely caring that the dress looked perfect, even knowing that she had already priced out the job for me and how much extra time went into it!! We will definitely be back for any alterations my family and I may need!!

I had written instructions on how I wanted it centered and had the top marked with a pink thread on the patch. They ignored it and centered it differently and it's crooked - no surprise. And the sewing is beginner level that I could do at home - long stitch, short stitch, up on patch edge, hard right turn into patch, threads coming undone on the backside. Crazy. Then he gave me a big eye roll when I complained and he just said it was difficult to do! Tell me that when I first asked. $22 for a homemade looking job. And it looks like they glued it on, so my latch is ruined if I try to redo it. Awful skill. Awful service. I won't ever go back
