The Principal, VP and staff are available and willing to help with any concerns. Students get individual attention and lots of resources both at school and online. This school has a more "hands-on" type learning style compared to public school. Plus, there are so much more opportunities for extracurricular activities such as clubs, sports and field trips. The school really works hard to accommodate parents' schedules. Probably the thing I love most about Bear Springs is student behavior. There is zero-tolerance for bullying and bad behavior. The Principal and VP are very helpful in dealing with any situations. I have noticed that the student atmosphere at Bear Springs is much more accepting and supportive than I've seen at other schools. And the most important part ... my kids love it! They get up happy each morning, ready to go to school.

From the very beginning, the staff has been exceptionally kind, attentive, and thoughtful. My niece has a kindergarten teacher she truly adores. Earlier this year, one of her teachers was promoted after only two months, and I was understandably worried about yet another transition for a child who has already endured so much change. The way TSC handled that transition was deeply reassuring; there was a clear, caring plan in place, and my niece quickly formed a strong connection with her new teacher as well. My niece was removed from her home over the summer and has experienced significant trauma in her short life. She carries a great deal of fear and anxiety, and she has selective mutism, meaning she is only able to speak with certain people. At her previous school, she never spoke to her TK teacher or her classmates. Seeing her now whispering to her teachers and a few of her peers at TSC feels like a small miracle, and also a powerful sign that she feels safe. Every part of her day is held with care. From the breakfast room staff who help her settle in each morning, to the gate staff who personally call for someone to escort her inside, to Ms. Heidi, the parking lot safety person who greets her with a warm smile and helps her out of the car, each small act of kindness has made a real difference. She comes home happy every day, more confident, and eager to share what she's learning. I'm also so appreciative of how present and engaged Valerie and Jeanette are as administrators. One or both are outside during arrival and dismissal time every single day. Her teachers, Ms. Smith, Ms. Merrifield, and Ms. K, have gone above and beyond to create a sense of safety, continuity, and belonging during a very tender time in her life. One staff member even reached out to me about resources available for foster families through Springs. I haven't yet had the chance to connect, but simply being seen and thought of in that way meant more than I can express. Springs has brought stability, care, and a sense of grounding to an incredibly difficult season in my niece's life, not just through personalized learning, but through genuine, personalized care.

Everything is done via their school computer, including daily homework. This was an adjustment at first but once he got accustomed it was not an issue. Towards 5th grade, they actually started assigning some homework and assignment via hard copies. The atmosphere is great! Lots of extracurricular activities that kids can be a part of such as sports, band, cheerleading, etc. The school also puts out several school events throughout the year. Too many of you ask me but the kids enjoy them. My son never experienced any negativity at this school however I will say that there are some teachers in which he excelled with. Mr. Solorio was his favorite teacher and with good reason. He really cares about his students and ensures that all his students excel academically and socially. He goes out of his way to make sure that students feel proud of themselves and accomplished. All schools need a Mr.Solorio!! Only downside for us was the drop off/pick up line. No matter how many times they tell drivers not to park and get out of their vehicles, they never listen which cause the lines to get backed up. You're better off parking and walking to get your child.

I love the 1950s meets modern style of the site. It's also bringing back the two-story structures which are refreshing and very spacious. I love the gym and MPR, both were my hubs. The staff is pretty nice, I've had the pleasure of meeting many of them and they truly extend themselves for the students. At the end of the day, the school is plagued by policy issues but there's solid education happening here. The parking entrance is a hot mess and the divider in front of the school is totally annoying. However, if you're a resident of the neighboring communities surrounding the school, this may be convenient for you and your child!
