I've had several friends and coworkers attend here and they had wonderful things to say about the educators who changed their lives! I recently attended the Annual SJ Fun Run and it was such a nice experience! Dr. Record and the SJUSD staff did an amazing job planning this event! The school has a pool, track, two-story buildings and large outdoor corridors. It's close to several fast food options and about a 4 min drive away from Stater Bros and some restaurants.

The curriculum is structured and advanced, using technology and computer work, preparing our children for what to expect in the job force. But most importantly, we feel loved and welcomed here, my children are not just being taught educationally, but emotionally, and socially as well. I love the 1950s meets modern style of the site. It's also bringing back the two-story structures which are refreshing and very spacious. I love the gym and MPR, both were my hubs. The staff is pretty nice, I've had the pleasure of meeting many of them and they truly extend themselves for the students. At the end of the day, the school is plagued by policy issues but there's solid education happening here. The parking entrance is a hot mess and the divider in front of the school is totally annoying. However, if you're a resident of the neighboring communities surrounding the school, this may be convenient for you and your child!

The classrooms are a bit dated but the rooms have premium resources such as touchscreen whiteboards! Also there's good internet connection for SJVA staff! There's a neat little eating and play area for the children outside with plenty of space for each class to enjoy their time. I love that the classrooms are central to everything. You're one step away from the front office, cafeteria, restrooms etc. it's very accessible for little and big people alike lol. My one challenge was that the entrance and exits are under lock and key so it's hard to drop-off and pick-up. Also, the parking lot entrance is so tight that few cars can come in at once, therefore there was a large line of cars lining up on Main Street. It was turning into a bit of a safety hazard. Note: This kinder center shares the space with the Community of Christ Church but it is NOT affiliated with them.
