The utensils (metal and plastic) were actually located near the entrance of the Co-op, not the soup station. The Co-op had a membership that appeared to offer a slight discount on prices. Overall, the Co-op was quiet, offered a mix of organic and specialty items, with a deli, salad bar, and soup station. Their cashiers were friendly. It definitely reminded me of Trader Joe's and Sprouts. Definitely would return and recommend.

The parking lot is kind of small, but we were able to find a spot to squeeze into on our visit. When you enter the building you'll see an impressive self-serve section and I noticed quite a few people loading up their plates or to go boxes. There's an island of ingredients to make your own salad and a couple of home made soups, and another area for hot items. My mom and I decided to share a squash soup, a small salad, and an assortment of hot items including South Carolina pulled pork, mac n cheese, biscuits and gravy, and mashed potatoes. I also decided to try a local kombucha which was really refreshing. We grabbed our utensils close to the exit and headed upstairs to enjoy our food. After we devoured everything we perused the main floor and bought a lot of Montana based goodies including teas, Bequet caramels, soaps, and skincare products. Suffice to say I spent quite a bit of money here, but I'm happy to support local and be able to share the Montana spirit with my family and friends! I'd say Community Food Co-op is kind of like a cross between Trader Joes and Whole Foods, but with a great emphasis on sustainability and local goods. Also available daily are ready made sandwiches and soups that don't appear to stay available long, so come early.

Bunkhouse Brewery was one of the breweries I went to while visiting town. It was a thorn in my side…read morenot to stop in Bozeman last time I passed through to try their breweries around a year ago so my most recent trip to the Big Sky state was primarily featured for Bozeman only. I have to say Bunkhouse Brewery was one of my favorites here in town. I thought their beers were creative and more on the experimental side but what really drew me into one of their beers was an ESB (Extra Special Bitter) and the one I had had brown sugar in it which really put a great spin on this beer type I've had on a variety of occasions. The specific name for this beer is the Bozeman Pride ESB. The brown sugar in this beer tempers the bitterness and you can taste the brown sugar itself in the flavor profile. This gives the beer a great complexity which made this beer a super fun and memorable beer to enjoy and drink. I could easily delve in for another time and time again.
