Words cannot express how happy I have been with the service received from these guys…read more I had them originally come out due to a water issue with our air handler as the second opinion after the first company was unable to identify and correct the issue after five trips. I intentionally only gave Alex and the Fellowship team descriptions of the problem, but none of the theories from the other company. Alex was able to locate the issue and show me exactly what it was in under 10 minutes. While they didn't have the needed part in stock, they were able to get a temporary fix in place so we were not without A/C during the peak of summer and returned to fix our unit as soon as they received the part from the distributor 3 business days later. At no point in the process did they try to upsell me, and they were very transparent about the cost of parts for the repair, and the potential complications that could lead to more or less labor cost on the final bill. Alex himself was very friendly, professional, and trustworthy. I would 100% recommend this company to anyone looking for HVAC assistance. They strike the unicorn balance of value, expertise, and service quality.

Edit: Joshua, the owner, called me and we talked through everything. Great guy. This was more a…read moreproblem with internal communication around pricing models. He also explained why you'd install a shut off valve in front of the pressure tank (troubleshooting pressure). In any event, I'm changing my 2 star to a 5 based on that conversation. It was a good install, just overpriced, which we can work out later for a repipe project I need done. Thanks Joshua. The definition of greedy service folks taking advantage of a situation. I was losing pressure in the house and I'm on a well. The technician replaced the pressure pump (which needed to be replaced) and added a whole house filter at my request. The job went decent and the technician did a pretty good job on the installation. However, the price I paid for the equipment installation was extremely overpriced before I realized. Also, the problem with the pressure wasn't resolved. After the technician came back the next day to troubleshoot, he believed there was a leak somewhere losing pressure, which was a reasonable assumption given the symptoms (and I had another plumber come out and verify, but he actually found the real issue). The technician checked everywhere and couldn't find a leak and tried to schedule a sonar person to locate it. This didn't sit well with me so I called a well expert (Dutton should quit advertising well service). The other plumber that came out instantly noticed 2 things wrong with the pressure tank installation, the tank was over charged with pressure at 50 psi and needed to be set to 38 psi to work correctly (this exaggerated my problem) and he installed a shut off valve on the incoming water line from the well to the pressure tank, and if someone were to ever use it, the would blow up the well pump. The real problem is that the well pump is dying and while it has some pressure, it's not enough to fill the pressure tank fast enough to maintain running water at a faucet. This guy told me what the problem was FOR FREE. Dutton came back out to troubleshoot their work and tried to charge me another 400 (which they will never get from me) and they were going to charge me more to fix the non existent leak AFTER I paid the sonar people another 400. So, I now have someone coming out to replace the well pump. The guy that came out and told me the issue for free, is going to get 3000 to replace the iron filter and water softener after they are done. Dutton quoted me FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS to replace just the iron filter. There are other companies who aren't just in it for the money. Call them.

Sean (owner) and his team are an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Sean personally walks customers through the best equipment choices for the home & budget, plans the install and supervises. You can tell he's very thoughtful and takes great pride in their work. Sean breaks down what you should get based on your home size, what will fit, how much efficiency you desire / ideal SEER, warranties and also talks you through budget vs. how long you plan on staying in the home. There is no upsell and he only sources high end equipment directly from the manufacturer (my equipment was manufactured by Rheem the month before install). Highlights from my experience: 1) Final invoice came in *below* what was a very attractive estimate -- Sean did not upsell anything, he did a walkaround my house and after inspecting / measuring, he laid out my options which were actually *priced lower than I anticipated*. Sean conservatively accounted for labor, and the final invoice came in BELOW the initial estimate. In the current economy, this was a very pleasant surprise! 2) Installation was VERY punctual & smooth. Sean personally planned out the install and supervised his team. I got to hang out with the crew (of 3) as they worked through my install. My install had a few challenges given my new equipment was substantially larger than my old equipment. The crew did a ton of fabrication and heavy lifting, but got everything to fit perfectly. 3) I got BETTER equipment than I paid for. I ordered a SEER 13 AC with my system, which was unfortunately not available from Rheem, Sean lined up a SEER 14 ($450 premium) at no additional expense. 4) After they wrapped up, his crew was very diligent in making sure there were no screws laying around, left the workspace spotless. They walked me through the new equipment, setup for the thermostat and also the warranty signup process (10 year warranty from Rheem). The final invoice is all done on sight via iPad and payment is a breeze.

They always clean up after themselves, call ahead and come ready to do the job. When they first serviced the rental, they noticed the furnace was in the laundry room as many in heartland are. The part was easy to find and only required about 5 minutes to install on my own. We were able to get 21 years on one of our heat pumps. We believe their preventative program was a key part to its long service. When it came time to replace it, they gave a good estimate on a 15 seer, was able to bump us up to a 16 seer and actually came in below the quoted price. We are sticking with them.
