Even though their gas prices are a little high (in my opinion), their beer and wine selection is out of this world. Whenever the hubby feels like a having a new and "interesting" beer, he always visits this Texaco location. They carry a wide selection of Texas beers, but once in a while you can find some very interesting beers that you've probably never seen before. Anyhow! Is your partner not into beer? Not a problem! Because they have a huge selection of wines and hard seltzer.

I understand paying for convenience, but not at nearly double the grocery store price. Hagen Daz was $7.99, Ben and Jerry was $8.99. These are the 14-16oz containers. To make a long story short, I was confronted by an employee (young guy - black - his purple underwear were all hanging out of his pants) who demanded that I put a 12-pack of Dos XX back in the same exact place where I got it from. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, as I would have willingly done this on my own. But since he decided to be negative and rude about it, I basically told him that he should handle it because he worked there, not me. At that point, he became confrontational and started shouting "well you got it out so you should put it back !" Rude! I informed his colleague, who was very nice (complete opposite from the confrontational employee) and also offered the manager for me to speak with. I just decided to let it go, but still feel that I should share my negative experience with others. On a completely separate note, this location is the only Valero I have ever heard of that prominently displays a sign that reads "This location does NOT give out free coffee when the Spurs win." It's not the only gas station in Olmos Park, but it's cheaper than the one on the Circle. This is a pretty small gas station, with only a couple of pumps. The inside isn't much larger. There's cold drinks and lotto. The clerks have always been friendly to me. They sell beer and ice too. The gas seems to be cut with ethanol, if that matters to you. Prices are about where you'd expect them to be for a convenience store. There's a HEB nearby, with gas and cheaper prices, but if you need to jump in and jump out, I guess this place is okay. Watch your speed in here, I know the OPPD likes to hang out here, and on the cross street that this convenience store is situated on, along McCullough.

Driving from Lake Tahoe to Houston and we had never been to QT before. We fell in love with the…read morelevel of service the options and typically the gas prices are pretty good as well. But this one in downtown San Antonio was the worst. When we were in El Paso, we had to wait 10 seconds to get a new bottle of creamer and the guy was so apologetic. He has his two free coffee coupons for the delay so every morning of this trip we've been excited about going to QT and having breakfast and coffee. But san Antonio was a complete disappointment. We had to wait 10 minutes to get some of the finally bring out creamer and the gentleman next to me another customer said wow she didn't have to have such an attitude. So I said OK good it's not just me. The app didn't work and a ton of employees standing around texting when myself another customers were looking for help. Only reason I gave it two stars instead of one it's because it was an inner city gas station, which I'm sure gives them a lot of problems. Two of their four coffee machines were down and many of their pull handle coffees were empty with just water coming out. Of the machines that were working, we had to let the staff know that they were out of coffee. Only one gentleman who is running a register seemed to be really trying out of the whole staff.
