There was caulk along the border between the wall and the tile that had to be scraped off before it could be painted and look at how clean the line is now! I love fun colors and with something this bright it's important that every angle be clean otherwise any mistakes are glaringly obvious. You can see how nicely everything was cut in and they always do such a great job protecting things that are not being painted and then cleaning up afterwards. And they always love up on my dog, which she enjoys! Dog tax included - in that picture, you can see the cool ceiling Pro Painters did for me a few years back.

They were very serious about my request to match the unusual main color of my house, and although they thought it wasn't perfect, I can't tell the difference! The workers were surprisingly unobtrusive; all they really needed was access to my outdoor faucets. I got multiple bids which were about the same amount, but what intrigued me was their offer for affordable touch-ups over the years. I'll probably update this review once I see how those go, but for an exterior paint job I can definitely recommend this crew confidently.

Now onto the the actual work. I contacted them months ago for some estimates and Jim/Virgil was great to work with. He came out as requested and gave fair estimates for both drywall work, replacement stairs, and ceiling work. He even came out a second time to give an estimate for some replacement siding. The drywall crew consisted of two guys who spent a few days working on a small section in the basement, they made sure to make things look their best and did a decent job cleaning up each night. They were polite and always listening to my feedback. 5 stars there. The siding guy came out and replacement some cedar shakes on the side of the house that were missing from an old deck removal. He did a great job and cleaned up the worksite very nice. I was impressed with the speed. Again 5 stars. Jim himself came out for the ceiling work, he did a great job hooking up the electric and making sure the panels lined up to the existing grid. Again 5 stars. My only gripe was the billing, Their online system worked, but I think some deposits I made were just lost. Regardless they eventually took care of it... so updating my review to reflect this. We had a few painters say they would show up to give an estimate and never did. So we were extremely happy to see some follow through. We had never hired a painter before so the quote we received was higher than we budgeted for. Because of the weather and the time crunch we were looking at, he lowered the price to a level we felt was fair. We had our house painted within 3 days from the time we got our free estimate to the day the work was finished. It only took 1 day to paint the front of our house and we were very happy with the results. We would hire them again for all future painting needs.

We hired CertaPro to repair some water damage and flatten out textured ceilings. The crew was late, unprofessional, and DAMAGED our home. The owner of the company never once spoke to us, and nobody aside from our sales rep spoke to us. No action was taken to fix the damaged floors and door. We are still staring at issues in our ceiling, and cracks, and tape lines in the work. Let me compare my experience, with the values listen on CertaPro's website: We always confirm : We didn't hear anything leading up on our project until we reached out to confirm the project date and colors. In the lead up to the work, they were radio silent. We always check in: We communicated dissatisfaction multiple times, and that contact was always initiated by us. The most proactive communication we got was on submitting payment.- not a good feeling. The owner and project manager are just names on an email string, I've never spoken to either. We respect your property: Unfortunately, I have ample evidence to suggest the contrary. We live in a historic home, whose woodwork was damaged by negligent crew work. The crew was careless in keeping things clean, and cut corners along the way. They damaged 100-year old floors and a wooden door and made no effort to rectify the damage. I don't understand how a professional painting crew would be unable to remove paint from woodwork without stripping the finish...just pure incompetence. They lost the bolt to our light, so we have an uncovered lighting fixture that is an eyesore (we'll eventually replace it). Just overall, I can't understand how they were able to patch difficult texture while simultaneously showing total naivete and incompetence on protecting a home. A crew of young dudes that don't care. We arrive on time: The crew was consistently late for the first 4 days of the project. We slept in our living room during the work and every day we were left staring at the door at 8 to see when they'd show up. We had the crew back twice to rectify bone-headed mistakes with the actual paint (lack of full coverage, wall damage, staining) - but the biggest issues still remain, and we never heard from anyone other than the sales rep, and even he became a ghost shortly after work "finished." Go with a trusted contractor, and be sure you understand the experience level of the crew you are bringing into your home. I'm guessing CertaPro would be fine to just slap paint on old paint in a newer home, but they were in over their heads with this job, and they shouldn't have taken it. I will forever have disdain for this company now - and it's a shame, because we have a lot more work to do in this home.

They did such a great job, I had them paint a bedroom and two bathrooms in my home. They use Hirshfield's paint, which provides gorgeous color and coverage. One bathroom was a dark, slate gray and another an eye-watering turquoise (my selections from a long time ago). The light gray they are now is gorgeous. (I wish they had left a gallon of Goof Off Ultimate Remover.) Lowlights: Expensive! (You don't always get what you pay for.) Most of the prep work was dismal. Claimed to have completed the job when it was not yet done. Not consumer oriented Unprofessional Careless--left debris strewn about the yard. There are areas of overspray. The crew managed to splatter exterior paint on the interior of the door and trim. My security light fixture is covered in paint and the sensor pointed toward the heavens. This experience really made me wish my longtime painter had not retired. He was a craftsman of the highest order. He was meticulous. He always completed the job just as we requested. He excelled at his craft to such a degree that I was always happy to give him more than the estimated amount. We are in need of some interior painting.
