Was told 3 days work. 2 coats of paint on the ceiling and the walls. The person doing the skim coat proceeded to skim over bubbled wall board paper and then pointed it out like it was my issue. I went and purchased the Zinser BIn sealer for him to use the next day. He was skeptical, but used it and it solved the issue, although he did have to sand and redo the skim coat. (HIS ERROR)The bubbles were evident BEFORE he started. In the end the charged me an extra 1000.00 and finished on time, but left 1 and 1/2 gallons of paint unused, and only started painting at noon on Friday. They were gone and packed up by 3:30 on the 3rd day. HOW is it possible they could have put on 2 coats of paint on the walls in 3 hours. Paint can states 4 hours between coats. Do not recommend this company

There was caulk along the border between the wall and the tile that had to be scraped off before it could be painted and look at how clean the line is now! I love fun colors and with something this bright it's important that every angle be clean otherwise any mistakes are glaringly obvious. You can see how nicely everything was cut in and they always do such a great job protecting things that are not being painted and then cleaning up afterwards. And they always love up on my dog, which she enjoys! Dog tax included - in that picture, you can see the cool ceiling Pro Painters did for me a few years back.

They were very serious about my request to match the unusual main color of my house, and although they thought it wasn't perfect, I can't tell the difference! The workers were surprisingly unobtrusive; all they really needed was access to my outdoor faucets. I got multiple bids which were about the same amount, but what intrigued me was their offer for affordable touch-ups over the years. I'll probably update this review once I see how those go, but for an exterior paint job I can definitely recommend this crew confidently.

The first project was to paint a small bedroom ceiling. The painters arrived on the first day, left for lunch, and never returned. Two days later, one of the painters showed up unannounced. He sprayed the ceiling poorly and completely ignored spot-treating a water stain, all in the quote. He left for lunch and never returned until the next day. We had to have another company at our home painting the entire main level, and repaint the ceiling to fix the terrible job. We felt like we dodged a bullet. We were planning on having Slavic complete the whole project. BUT Nick Slavik's advertising keeps showing up in my mailbox EVERY WEEK! And it's impossible that a company that markets so well, is this successful AND IS CONSISTENTLY performing poor work, RIGHT?. I'll try them again. The second job was to enamel the wood trim, windows, four closet doors, and the inside of the bedroom door. I walked through our home and showed the estimator that all the other doors in the house were caulked and enameled--some from the original builder and others from a different painting contractor in the past 2 years. I also retrieved the paint cans with codes for the ceiling paint and enamel previously used at the estimator's request. He took photos of the cans' labels with the paint codes and type. Not that it mattered, but they used what they wanted from another retailer anyway. Unbelievable! Why ask? By the way, we had previously used Benjamin Moore. From the start, things went south. They wanted to get our project on a schedule/calendar, and we agreed on the start date. Then, two or three emails arrived asking to start earlier, and I agreed. Later, they changed it to another day, and finally, another email, and the original day was planned. Nick Slavic Painting did a horrendous job! Be prepared! Inexperienced painters, who I am assuming are told to "get in and get out!" They did not putty nail holes in any of the wood trim. Before I stopped counting, I counted at least 13-14 nail holes in the wood trim. They left unfilled cracks in the wood trim and only sprayed one coat instead of two. One day, standing out on our deck while they were painting the windows, still hung, another first. I've never seen a painter not remove the windows to paint them. I noticed they had missed the entire top of the windows--something I would not have seen until summer, while on the deck above. A company that wants to cash a check and not care if the job was done correctly or not! Get ready for one excuse after another when they start, all the way to the end. And you better not pay them before you are 100% happy. Nick doesn't care! Also, you should expect their painters to stand around for two hours at the end of the day to get their hours logged while doing nothing. Time that could have been spent doing better work! I repeat! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! In response to Nick's Response: The same people who made me chase them around for an answer or solution to your poor workmanship for 2 weeks? The same estimator who walked through the home, pointing out all the caulked doors on his first visit? Someone has a problem with the truth. I was respectful and patient with you, project coordinator, painters, and estimator throughout the fiasco. It wasn't until you made me chase and chase to get a resolution, all while you held up a complete lower-level remodeling project. Your answer was, "Read your contract". I have been in business for 39 years. I would never dream of treating a customer like Nick and his team treated me.

Joke's on me, I guess. The work was finished in March and after texts and emails, I'm still waiting for the crew to come out to touch-up and fix mistakes. I understood the Covid restrictions in March, it is September now and they still don't have anyone to come out? I shouldn't have to chase and badger companies to fulfill their obligations. Overall, the work was ok. The owner came out to do the estimate. Then never heard from again, even after emailing him. The crew was cordial and punctual. There are lots of spots where the paint came off with the tape. Now that it's been six months, I see some chips and of course the original mistakes that never got fixed. I am disappointed with it all and do not recommend, especially because this company was the highest estimate I got. I expected a higher quality product and service.

They did such a great job, I had them paint a bedroom and two bathrooms in my home. They use Hirshfield's paint, which provides gorgeous color and coverage. One bathroom was a dark, slate gray and another an eye-watering turquoise (my selections from a long time ago). The light gray they are now is gorgeous. My painter was neat, professional, and carefully protected carpet in the bedroom. I highly recommend FreshCoat Painters!

(I wish they had left a gallon of Goof Off Ultimate Remover.) Lowlights: Expensive! (You don't always get what you pay for.) Most of the prep work was dismal. Claimed to have completed the job when it was not yet done. Not consumer oriented Unprofessional Careless--left debris strewn about the yard. There are areas of overspray. The crew managed to splatter exterior paint on the interior of the door and trim. My security light fixture is covered in paint and the sensor pointed toward the heavens. This experience really made me wish my longtime painter had not retired. He was a craftsman of the highest order. He was meticulous. He always completed the job just as we requested. He excelled at his craft to such a degree that I was always happy to give him more than the estimated amount. We are in need of some interior painting.
