Came in to get my acrylics removed for work which I advised them of. When I walked up an employee was smoking out by the door on the phone then later came in yelling on the phone with someone which seemed unprofessional. The greeter was nice & I was sat immediately. Despite me letting them know I was there to have my acrylics removed for work, they REPEATEDLY asked me to get a fill in or a full set which was a bit annoying. I get needing to sell, but it was too much. They don't soak your acrylics off. It was so uncomfortable to have them use several nail tools & acrylic tip to pry the old nails off. The only positive was the process was quick & I paid $10. Probably won't be back, I've had better removal experiences elsewhere. read more

I have been going to Valencia for about two years now. I get the same service every time.I went on Thursday and I was handed a menu which I always point to the basic pedicure for $30. when I was finished and it was time to pay, I was handed a bill for $52. I asked why it was so much more they broke down the price for me and they gave me a $30 basic pedicure, but used gel polish on me, which was an additional 15. Trust me when I tell you I've never had gel polish on my nails or my toes and I did not ask for it. They also charged me five dollars for callus removal. And I can also tell you my feet are not in bad shape at all. I was a little upset. When I mentioned that I didn't want the gel the girl argued with me. So I just paid the bill and I said I will never come back to the salon again. There was also another girl and they're getting her nails filled. And she kept saying I'm not paying more than 50. So maybe this is something they do. But I don't have to worry about cause I'm not going back. read more

Went for an acrylic removal- informed I would like to keep my natural nails and that I'm sensitive and yet the technician opted for the "quick" way without asking first. This is the no soak method (known to be painful I've now been informed) where she jammed a plastic nail tip between my nail and the acrylic to break and pry off. Then she went in with the cuticle cutter?? Also she had her phone open to TikTok and was watching a video while she used the electric dremel on me... I received a gift certificate last year. When I found it I only had a couple days till it expired. I was able to make an appointment. It wasn't very busy when I arrived. Though it was two days before Christmas, and I'm sure everyone was on the road that day. Sydney was very sweet. I explained I had a toe I had injured. She was very gentle, and asked several times if I was ok. I opted for just a clear coat because of that. She did offer color or French, my go to. She also did my manicure. Which I liked. At the offer of French for $5.00, I changed. Even though my nails are really short right now, she was right. It still looks great. I enjoyed her, and the glass of complimentary wine. At first glance I didn't think much of this nail salon, it looked beautiful inside but I guess the location sort of threw me off. They had me check in and I was immediately ushered to one of the manicure table to get started. There was an odd smell I can't place and can't think of, but it's there. Maybe a little bit of cleaning could help that issue. Despite that, they were accommodating to my needs and offered drinks and actually asked me what I wanted; and reiterated what I said to make sure we were on the same page. The lady that did my nails was so nice and gave me some suggestions to add on to my nails and I'm glad I took her advice! She had a vision that worked with mine and she wasn't beating around the bush with prices either so I'm glad that I know what to expect and what I'm paying for. I use to come see Jason biweekly and had no issues ever I moved and stopped in while in town to get a basic pedi and wow it's very run down and dirty. Tech didn't have tools in a sterilized bag and everything had nail dust--The whole time getting a pedicure I was holding my breath as I felt I was going to get cut and yup, I got cut by nail clippers.. 3 employees barefoot next to me napping too. I come here every now and then since they can usually take walk-ins, but I won't be going back. They completely screwed up a simple French acrylic set- rushed me the entire time however a pedicure+French acrylics still took over an hour. My cuticles are bad, which isn't their fault, however I wasn't offered any oil or lotion, and they electric-filed my cuticles tearing them further. The acrylic is sloppy, uneven, and patchy. These pictures were taken the SECOND I exited the salon(the sign is in the background). I'm really disappointed and feel as if I wasted $50 since I have to get these acrylics redone if I want them to last for my upcoming trip. read more

This place has one amazing nail artist. I have been to two other nail techs and they both painted my nails worse then a kid would. They got it all over my skin, cut me multiple time kept going tell I said u need to stop that hurts. She was very rude and kept telling me I cant do that and they where plan colors. I took my girlfriend here on a Wednesday to get her nails done. She sat down and asked for a tan acrylic base. They showed her their tan she said she wanted more of a tan color then they pulled out two pink colors and said this was all they had. Witch was fine. They had started putting curved tips on (witch cost more money) without even asking my girlfriend explained she didn't want those she never asked for those so they put the regular tips on. She went with the nude base and wanted small white lines on the nail. She showed the nail tech the picture she had. The lady started doing her nails and the lines looked horrid and nothing like the picture. My girlfriend said that's not at all like the picture and she wasn't at all happy with how they looked. The lady said that she did exactly the picture. She did not. My girlfriend asked to mail tech to take off the lines as they weren't at all like in the picture and said to just do a regular French tip. At this point she was very upset. She did an extremely rushed job on the French tip. Im a man and even I thought it looked bad. There was bubbles in the nails and small black dots in the polish. We go up to pay and they charged her for a deep French when again she never asked for that. Ended up paying almost $100 for ugly nails. We realized once we paid the nail tech left meaning she was about to get off so that's why she did a rushed and bad job on her nails. By Thursday 3 of the nails had fallen off. Basically moral of the story this place does a bad/rushed job on nails and tries their hardest to slip in those up charges without even asking if that's what the customer wants. 0/5 stars I do not recommend. read more

This place is a little taste of heaven on the side of International in Daytona. From the outside it seems like this place would be a small location, but when you walk inside it is far from small! When you first walk in, there is the check out counter and a TON of polish, gel and dip color examples. They have clean, white marble looking floors and adorable glass chandeliers. There are at least 6 pedicure stations on each side and 12 stations for the nails. You are immediately greeted by the friendly staff. I have never had to wait long when I have gone. They can do the marble looks, dip powders, acrylics, and specialty looks. They have complimentary drinks (yay). When my friend flies in from out of state, this is the first place that we go to! I should've listened to all the 1star reviews but because all I do is a regular mani and pedi and didn't think you could screw that up. The place itself is cute and looks clean but maybe I ALSO should have paid attention to no one being in the salon when I got there. So I was seated right away and being on my phone I didn't really pay attention. So when he was done painting my nails and I saw that they were not only painted horribly but that my actual nails were slanted and pointed on the sides I knew I had to go and not also get a mani. It was pricey and I came home to take off the polish file my nails and repaint them. It wasn't worth it at all. read more

This place used to be so great. I recently lost my nail girl who was amazing (I have since found her!!) so I was looking for a place which does a generally good job with SNS. Nothing crazy or specifically difficult, plain old SNS. First the removal process was horrendous and took an hour, I almost walked out once they were off. But no, I needed my nails done- thought I was just used to a certain way of doing things. Nope, turns out the whole experience was a mess. Nails look terrible, were pricier than other places in the area, ended up with about 6 layers of polish which was dripping off the sides on them and were chipping after 2 weeks (thankfully, can't wait to get them redone). I'm sure as with most places there are good people here, but the gentlemen who helped me on this visit was not a pro to say the least. read more

I've been there once before for dip and the service was just ok. My nails did not last as long as they did when I was going somewhere else. Today I had an appointment for a fill-in. I liked that there were far less people in there than the first time but I was sat at a dirty station. Someone's soda can with a straw was sitting there, the purse hook was barely screwed in so my bag ripped it out, and there was some fluid sprayed on the wrist rest (looked like spit). I sat there for about 5 minutes contemplating if I should leave or not. When multiple employees walked past me and did not greet me because they were on their cellphones or just in a daze, I decided to leave. Someone yelled to me while I was halfway out the door that she was just about to take me, but I kept going. It was NOT busy and yet they couldn't clean the stations? Nope! Never again. read more

While visiting Daytona I broke a nail and needed a repair but also needed the new 'Powder Dip' done and was crunched for time - stopped at this salon and not only did they have 100+ colors of Dip Powder they did an entire fill instead of a repair under an hour. Overall I would give 3.5 stars if I could from my one and only visit, but I hope next time it will be 4 or 5 stars. Service was pretty good--staff were friendly and polite, but my manicure, which was SNS took about 1 hour 45 minutes which is way longer than I am used to. It was my first time getting an SNS manicure so maybe that's why, but still that's a long time! The outcome of the manicure itself was okay. Close was really thick which I'm not too fond of but again I don't know if that's an SNS thing. Color selection was amazing. Price was fair. With a 10% student discount I paid $30 plus tip. I got a shellac manicure and my co worker got SnS done to her nails. My came out exactly how I wanted plus she put powder over my natural broken thumb nail to salvage it! I got a pedicure which was okay... tech had to run off to another chair so someone else polished my nails. My gel dip (SNS) nails were an after thought and were rushed through. Never pushed back my cuticles, didn't bother to make sure the shape was okay, and they don't even match my nail bed. This was the second time I tried this place. Not again. Oh. Valencia was nice def clean and inviting. They had a huge selection of colors and types of nail products. The complementary beverages was a great touch seeing that we all love to feel pampered. I never got the name of the woman who did my nails but she did a decent job. I always do coffin the length was way shorter then I normally get she kind of took to filing and ran with it lol but over all they came out nice. I tried SNS for the first time so this should be interesting she did offer to come back if something went wrong with the nails in a few days and she'll fix free of charge. The only issue I had was a few of the nail techs were on their phone. I understand that they don't have a regular office job but if you're doing someone's nails you should have both hands steady and not trying to balance holding your phone to your ear and doing your clients nails. read more

I never write poor reviews, but I left this place disappointed and wanting my money back. It started when I walked in. I had made an appointment 24 hours prior and I told her my name. The lady looked really confused and told her I didn't have an appointment but she'll take me. Whatever- not a big deal just kinda unprofessional. Anyway, I got acrylic fill in and let me tell you- the lady who was doing my hands rushed and drilled so hard it made me bleed. It was a bad bleed too and she didn't acknowledge it whatsoever. No rubbing alcohol- nothing to clean it. I just left hoping it wouldn't get infected and went home to clean it myself. The manicure itself was EXTREMELY messy- got nail polish on my skin and the shaping of my nail was uneven and just looked plain terrible. Btw, my nail kept bleeding throughout the day because it was a deep wound. Started bleeding doing simple things like washing the dishes and my hands. Gave this place the benefit of the doubt and I'm definitely not going back. Wasn't cheap too. Unless you want to bleed and want a super messy terrible manicure- go for it. read more
