Dr. Crockett performed her hysterectomy, and the surgery and recovery went exceptionally well with minimal scarring. Recently, my wife went in for a routine checkup where a transvaginal ultrasound revealed a 1 cm cyst. As a precaution, blood work was ordered, including an OVA1 test to help assess the likelihood that the cyst could be cancerous. The test was completed nearly two months ago, yet we still have not received the results. Two weeks ago, the office contacted my wife and stated they were still waiting for the lab results and would follow up. After hearing nothing further, they called again today with essentially the same response, saying they were unsure what happened to the results and would be contacting the lab. This is extremely disappointing and, frankly, unacceptable. An OVA1 test is not routine blood work. It is ordered to help assess the risk of ovarian cancer, making timely communication and follow-up critical. If the results were missing or delayed, that should have been investigated immediately, not weeks later. We understand that errors can occur, but the lack of urgency, communication, and accountability surrounding this situation has significantly diminished our confidence in the process. We have always appreciated the care provided by Dr. Crockett, which makes this experience all the more frustrating. We simply expected a much higher level of follow-through for a test involving a potentially serious medical concern.

I had my appointment rescheduled multiple times over the last 6 months with a doctor who is now accusing me of publicly bashing HER online when I've made no comments about her or who she even is, just for her staff to call me and accuse me assault and violence when I put a clipboard down on their desk and walked away. When I asked them about why I hadn't been called back after nearly 30 minutes passed from my appointment time, they had an attitude about "not rushing the provider" while telling me I had to continue to waste my day at an office when I showed up on time for my appointment. Unprofessional from both the staff and the provider to accuse someone of assault and violent behavior when that is not what happened. Don't come unless you want to be accused of a crime by the office manager and the front desk staff for giving them the same attitude they gave you to begin with.

Long story short, I've had 3 pregnancy losses. I started bleeding at 9.5 weeks pregnant. Office wouldn't schedule me to get checked. The bleeding got worse, I made myself an appointment online. Confirmed at that appt there was no heartbeat. Had an emergency D&C at Methodist stone oak due to passing massive clots/ hemorrhaging. I get discharged, and told to call for a follow up. I call, they can't see me until 5-6 weeks post op (November 10th). They call me on Halloween saying the doc wants me to come in today. (Sure let me cancel my plans?!) I go in, they tell me I have to pay out of pocket because my insurance declined the last claim due to coordination of benefits. I'm upset, why do I pay for insurance if I can't use it?! I end up paying out of pocket ($150) JUST FOR THEM TO ONLY DO A PREGNANCY TEST. Dr. Patel comes in and I'm UPSET at this point.l and crying. It's traumatic to go to an office and see pregnant women everywhere after you just lost ANOTHER child. Then to be told I won't be seen if I don't pay private pay. The office has treated me terribly. Don't care about any concerns. Everything is on their time. Dr. Patel comes in. Doesn't introduce herself. Nothing. "Your pregnancy test is negative, I'm not worried about retained products. Are you still bleeding?" I say yes, she says okay could be a period or not. I'm not sure. I asked are we just doing a pregnancy test? No pelvic exam? I just paid $150 for a pregnancy test????????? I verbalize I'm upset at how this office has treated me. She states: "I understand but we don't allow ugly behavior in our office either." WHAT???????? What did I do that was so ugly???? Then. I get this in the mail a week later. This practice SUCKS. I will never return or recommend to anyone. I work in the medical field, and it's disheartening the way this practice has treated me.

The receptionist was rude, short with my questions, and handed me to somebody else because she seemed frustrated with the call. As a first-time pregnancy patient, I wasn't very familiar with how appointments are typically scheduled, but I found it frustrating that visits were split up: sonogram, then a separate visit for results, and another for bloodwork - each with additional fees. My final straw was at my second sonogram appointment. The technician arrived 15 minutes after the appointment was scheduled, and after waiting another 15 minutes to be called back, I asked why my results had to be discussed on a different day since I couldn't afford another visit fee. The technician appeared annoyed, skipped over me, and called the next patient instead. Do not recommend, especially for such a special and sensitive time in your life.

Many of the recommendations I got did not have the greatest reviews, so I found Dr Schechtman from my insurance and view any review I could find. They were all good, and not just the physician but the office also. I've had the office staff ruin the physician visit even when the physician was great and I would not go back. Dr Schechtman is great! She did not hesitate to move forward on my condition and spent a good 30 minutes on my history alone. I've already had two procedures, one in outpatient surgery and no complications, which enforces my opinion of her as an excellent provider. I loved my previous doctor, but close to retirement I felt that he was watching and waiting for a bit too long. The staff at the front desk and in the back are always nice and I have never left with negative feelings. My daughter is pregnant and Started going to Dr Schechtman also and loves her. I'm past having babies, but have other health issues and so glad to have found an excellent physician!!
