David is both the salon owner as well as our stylist. He is the greatest stylist I have ever seen. He is a so meticulous in his cuts. I briefly started getting my hair cut by a curly girl specialist but I always came back to David for the shape. I have been seeing David for over 10 years. I met him when my hair was down to my waist. He carried me through the emotional roller coaster of a pixie cut and back to a perfect curly bob. He can literally do anything and do it well. I always find myself enjoying the music and I appreciate the quality products he both sells and uses. I appreciate his work so much that he now cuts everyone's hair in my family! I have also found David to be a genuinely fabulous human. I enjoy his company during my cuts and always appreciate how easy it is to talk to him. I came here as I just moved to the neighborhood and wanted to get my hair fixed from a haircut I didn't like. From the moment I came in, they were amazing. I've never had such a wonderful experience at a hair salon. Kit really listened to me and was sensitive to the fact that I had just had 5 inches cut off 2 weeks before and was interest in getting 5 more off. She cut off 3 to start out, making sure I was comfortable with the length, and was I really OK to go shorter. She was nothing short of amazing. I will definitely be back! David is the only stylist in America that solved my hair problem. I first came just because my wife discovered he was the best person in the city for color. I mean the best for color. Well, I didn't need color, my hair is grey and that's fine. But David knew that grey hair bends differently than non-grey hair. As one gets grey hair, one may need treatments or a different cut. I went to Vakkar for the first time. Scheduled an appointment with David. I was very pleased with my cut but was extremely unhappy with my wait time. Sat around for nearly 30minutes before I got my consultation . Why pay so much for a haircut when you have to wait around forever. The atmosphere was very nice. The assistant was very friendly.
