I found out the hard way as they SHUT THE LIGHTS OFF AT 8:55, leaving me to pack my laundry up in the dark by flashlight. I was literally 30 seconds from being out of there and the lights went off without anyone checking to see if the store was empty. So instead of being out of there by 9, I had to fumble around with a flashlight to gather my things - taking longer to leave. Wonderful policy . Consider checking your store before you leave them in the dark.

Five Star Laundry is a pretty small place, but the machines were clean and appeared to all be in service. They had a change machine so I put in a $20 bill and got a boatload of quarters. I then noticed some of their machines took credit cards, but that's fine. The washer and dryer did as expected and had short cycle times. I received a call saying that one of my shirts had holes in it and they asked me if I dropped it off that way. If you look at the picture, no one in their right mind would drop off a shirt with those kind of holes for dry cleaning. When I picked up my shirts I found that 2 more of them were ruined which was not brought to my attention. They offered to "wipe my bill" but imagine picking up your dry cleaning and they say "we ruined half of your shirts but don't worry we won't charge you, it's free." After 5-6 phone calls, management conveniently "not in" each time, they refused to compensate me for the value of the shirts. These people do not care about you, bring your business somewhere else!

Terry has a Laundry (and Drop-off) Service... so I dropped at the Laundromat that she subs some space from and she dropped off the cleaned clothes at my hotel front desk later that same day. Convenient and much cheaper than a hotel charges. She charges by the pound... most hotels charge by the piece and doing it her way is probably one-third to one-quarter the cost. Terry was done for the day by the time I called her (she services both Beacon and Wappingers Falls) but said she could be in as early as 6:30 or 7 the next morning to meet me and get my dirty laundry. I think (but I'm not sure) that if I had called her and just asked her to pick up the dirty clothes at the hotel she would have... and it would have been as easy as any hotel service but much cheaper. It didn't really matter all that much because the hotel (The Roundhouse) was only 50 yards away. (And her card says "drop-off", not "pick-up" so I'm not sure what the deal is but she's very nice so call her ask her!)

I had done laundry at other locations in New Windsor and while other places were decent, this place is insanely clean and well maintained. It's just SO out of place being in Newburgh. I've always had laundry facilities at home until recently so I'm not entirely sure if what I paid to clean my panties...I mean underwear (don't judge me; LOL) was expensive. But for what I paid I feel like my clothes came out really clean and the dryers dried as I expected despite the quarter only giving me 6-7 minutes. I really didn't pay attention to how much time each quarter gave me I just put enough for an hour dry time. If others in this area thinks this place might be expensive I hope the owner keeps it that way because this facility is worth the price of admission. I said hello to the attendant as I deposited my money into the dryer. She replied with pleasant hello. I proceeded to sit on a near by bench when she saw my service animal. She proceeded to tell me that they have a no pet policy and that I would have to leave the laundromat. I informed her that my dog was not a pet but a service animal. She said it didn't matter if it was a service animal I would still have to wait outside while my clothes dried. I asked her to call the owner, she refused. I asked her to call the police so that they could explain the service animal law, she refused. I went outside to call the Town of Newburgh police and waited outside for the to arrive. While waiting a customer pointed out a sign that was posted, "No Pets unless it is a service dog with paperwork in hand." My clothes had dried and the attendant stated that I could not fold the there and that I would have to leave and fold them somewhere else. I took my clothes outside and waited until the officer arrived, approx. 9:00 p.m. stating the owner Angela Kinan has officially trespassed me from the laundromat . At approx. 9:21 P.M. the Supervisor arrived to try and explain to the attendant that what she was doing violated the law, however she was unwilling to comply with the ADA laws of New York and Supervisor gave me the blotter number .
