The folks here are friendly, accommodating and I have never had anything damaged or stained by them since coming here. If you've been concerned about coming to this cleaners after reading those old reviews, I'd recommend trying them out. Terry has a Laundry (and Drop-off) Service... so I dropped at the Laundromat that she subs some space from and she dropped off the cleaned clothes at my hotel front desk later that same day. Convenient and much cheaper than a hotel charges. She charges by the pound... most hotels charge by the piece and doing it her way is probably one-third to one-quarter the cost. Terry was done for the day by the time I called her (she services both Beacon and Wappingers Falls) but said she could be in as early as 6:30 or 7 the next morning to meet me and get my dirty laundry. I think (but I'm not sure) that if I had called her and just asked her to pick up the dirty clothes at the hotel she would have... and it would have been as easy as any hotel service but much cheaper. It didn't really matter all that much because the hotel (The Roundhouse) was only 50 yards away. (And her card says "drop-off", not "pick-up" so I'm not sure what the deal is but she's very nice so call her ask her!)

Upon picking the jackets up, I WAS NOT INFORMED THAT THEY WERE DAMAGED. I got home removed them from the plastic and this is what I saw. I then went back to the store the day after picking them up and asked why I wasn't told they were damaged when I picked them up. I was told that I was informed, but really all I was told was to be careful cleaning the older jacket as the more it's cleaned the more it would be prone to damage. The 2nd jacket that was damaged had only been worn once. They insisted that the jacket was old even though it was not. They took no responsibility for sending me home with damaged items and no responsibility for not informing me when I picked up my items. I requested a refund for both the damaged jackets. This was my first time even going to this dry cleaner. The only reason I trusted them was because they told me they normally clean down jackets without issues. After returning the damaged jackets to the store, I waited an extra 2 days for the manager to "assess" the damage. Neither jacket can be worn due to the damage. They did not offer to fix them and I was told that there would not be a refund for either of them because I knew there was a risk of them being damaged. Horrible service, lack of sympathy and honestly just cruel. The majority of money I spent was on these two jackets that I now cannot even wear. I will absolutely NOT be returning. Horrible experience for the first time trying a business. The same lady that failed to inform me of the damage upon pickup was the person that told me I wouldn't be refunded. So I tried them. There are other dry cleaners and tailors in the area, but word of mouth is what spurs her establishment. Laura is always gracious and seems to know all her customers by name in no time at all. She does the tailoring, it's not sent out to some factory. It comes back right the first time and when promised! She accepts debit and credit cards.
