I was really in a bind and my dog really needed a groom. MJ and the staff really care about the well-being of our dogs They really treat us like family. Thank you for that. Their hard work doesn't go unnoticed. You all are amazing and of course my dog looks fabulous

Response to MJ: I am…read morenot writing this review on behalf of anyone else. This is my personal experience with you. Your assumption is incorrect. Having worked in the mental health field, I choose not to engage in combative or confrontational exchanges, which is why I did not argue with you in the moment. However, choosing not to argue does not invalidate my experience. As a fellow business owner, I stand by the fact that feedback--especially when it is uncomfortable--is part of operating a business. My review is not an attack; it is an honest observation based on my direct interaction with you. It is also consistent with prior public feedback regarding similar concerns about your conduct. Respect goes both ways, and professionalism should always remain the standard--especially from leadership. Original review: Excellent groomers, but the owner's behavior was unacceptable. The grooming service itself was great and deserves five stars. Unfortunately, the owner's conduct completely undermined the experience. He was aggressive, dismissive, and unwilling to accept any accountability. Rather than engaging in a productive conversation, he chose to rant, making the interaction uncomfortable and unprofessional. As a business owner, I understand that problems can occur--but professionalism, accountability, and respectful communication are non-negotiable. This experience was tarnished solely due to the owner's behavior, which is disappointing given the quality of the grooming staff.

f I've been coming to Alicia Pet Care Center for many years,…read morespecifically working with Dr. Matthew Wheaton. I was originally introduced to this veterinary hospital by my dog trainer, Vladae from SoCal Dog Training and I'm very glad I followed that recommendation. Over the years, Dr. Wheaton and his team have taken excellent care of my chocolate Labrador, Bruno. Now with my new puppy, Nico, also a chocolate Lab, choosing Alicia Pet Care Center again was an easy decision. Dr. Matthew is extremely knowledgeable, but more importantly, he is straightforward and trustworthy which is rare and very valuable. Their extended hours, including full-day Saturdays, make scheduling very convenient. They also offer a drop-off service, which is incredibly helpful when things get busy. Overall, a reliable, a bit pricey, but professional, and honest veterinary clinic. Thank you, Dr. Matthew and team.

It's possible their regular vets are fine (hopefully), but their backup vet should be avoided if…read moreyou need to bring your pets here urgently. She recommends unnecessary procedures while using fear tactics, which is a shame. The backup vet was very incompetent. She recommended the wrong solutions and suggested imaging that cannot detect soft tissue issues. She never asked any history questions, examined the wrong area entirely, and jumped straight to worst case scenarios without justification. She spent only 5 minutes on the consultation and pushed for X-rays when in my dog's case, those weren't even necessary. X-rays are not the right protocol for soft tissue issues. I didn't have a choice as they were the only place open that day. A few days later my dog is completely fine because it wasn't actually that hard to fix. He had full anal glands that just needed to be emptied ... and this vet was pushing for X-rays and bloodwork instead One thing worth mentioning, she was very quick to suggest cancer or tumors without proper justification. What she may not know is that intact male dogs actually have hormonal protection that significantly reduces the risk of certain cancers in that area. A more knowledgeable vet would have considered this before jumping to worst case scenarios. This is basic intact male biology that should be understood before making such alarming suggestions to worried pet owners. That's why I usually just bring my dogs to my regular holistic vets in Irvine and Laguna Beach. To be fair, the regular staff are lovely. The vet tech was excellent, agreed with my decisions, and actually helped. So I do believe their regular vets and staff are much better. This one star is specifically for the backup vet. Please be very careful if they assign you to her.

Shannon is like…read morethat Veterinarian or car mechanic that once you find, you count yourself lucky to have, and you don't let go of. She is affordable, has 20+ years in the business as a Professional Vet Tech, your dogs trust her immediately, and you genuinely feel you can trust her too. My wife and I have 2 dogs : A 15 year old rescue that requires pills morning and night for her arthritis, and ear drops once a day for a chronic ear issue that must be kept at bay. Our other dog is a diabetic min pin who has gone blind due to the diabetes and occasionally now will sadly have seizers (not just anyone can care for these type of dogs) . Neither dog does well outside my home/yard these days, or with strangers. So boarding was not an option whenever our family needed to leave town I had to bother a close friend to come over daily and work around their schedule, etc. And I didn't trust the neighbor kid to follow through on timely feedings. Then I was introduced to Shannon. She is actually more affordable than a kennel/dr office, comes to my house twice a day walks, feeds, and medicates the dogs and my dogs never have to leave the house (A stress free situation for us all). And I feel safer about her doing this than a friend because she was a trained Vet Tech for years. We actually have Shannon do the ear cleanings and nail trim too. She comes to us, I don't have to load everyone to the Vet! And she charges is about the same as the Vet does! It' a life saver. You'll love her too.

I have been going to OC Grooming in Lake Forest by Home Depot ever since. Today my dog got filthy in the mud and has a vet appointment first thing in the morning. At 3:30 I wouldn't make the cut-off time at OC Grooming so I pulled up the Mud Puppy website to see their hours. It said the cut off time was 4pm and they close at 5. The website also shows the price as $20 for large dogs self-service. When I arrived at 3:40 the chalkboard in the lobby said cut-off time is 3:30. The lady working was not happy to see me but she let me bathe my dog after I promised to be quick. She gave me 1/4 bottle of shampoo and filled the rest with water. My dog is pretty large but whatever. I was in and out super quick. She said that'll be $20, so I gave her my card and asked for my receipt. She charged me $29.12! OC Groomers charges $18 for self wash regardless of size and doesn't charge extra for sensitive skin soap or cologne or anything. They also have a great set up where the soap and conditioner come right out the nozzle with the water by changing the dial. I'll never go to Mud Puppy again.
