I have previously worked in the Veterinary industry for many years. I have also had MANY horrible experiences in veterinary clinics.. ones I worked in and ones I haven't. I know all the ins and outs of how a hospital works, how it should work, and why it works that way, and this hospital far exceeds my expectations. I know a lot of "dirty laundry" about many of the vet clinics in this area, and I make sure to do my research before I leave my beloved pet in the hands of a stranger. I trust this hospital more than any other hospital I have ever step foot in before, including ones I myself have worked in. I can tell the good doctors from the bad. The greedy from the caring. I know for a fact that this is not your typical, money-grubbing, corrupt, or unethical clinic, like a lot unfortunately are. I have had extremely traumatic experiences working in clinics.. but this place makes you feel safe, and makes you feel like your pet is in good hands. The staff here is amazing, Most hospitals hire unqualified or experienced people to handle your pets, but Trinity Pet Hospital has a fully qualified, experienced, and caring staff. The front office staff is great! They are so kind and knowledgeable. They have quite a few receptionists and a front office manager to greet you, check you in, and check you out, so you never have to wait too long. Also, they take the time to talk to you and listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and help you with anything you need. They also have several technicians, which they call "Pet Nurses". I'm not sure if they are registered technicians, but as long as they are only preforming duties a qualified "Vet Assistant" can do, then that is perfectly fine. They come in the exam room before the doctor and get your pet's info, (weight, temperature, medical history, any unusual symptoms, etc..) They also listen and very carefully to your concerns, record them in your pets file and relay them to the doctor. They are also very knowledgeable and give great advice. Now for the veterinarian himself, Dr, Kerolos. Dr.K is a wonderful doctor. He really cares, and does everything he can to help both you and your pet. His medical practice is extremely high quality and he works with you to accommodate your budget as well giving your pet the best possible care. He will not pressure you into anything you do not want to do, such as unnecessary tests or examinations. He may recommend a blood or urine test if needed, but you are able to say no without being judged, or being made feel as if you "don't care enough about the health of your pet". He will examine your pet, diagnose to the best of his ability without any lab work, and send you home with the proper medication, with a recommendation to come back for tests if your pet does not response to the medicine or their health continues to decline. This is an ideal way to practice medicine in my (experienced) opinion. He is passionate and treats everyone - his patients, clients, staff - with integrity and kindness. I have had veterinarians I have worked for in the past (I will not say which ones) That will practically force you, or at least guilt you into having your pet get a $300 X-ray because he has a small limp. Or give your pet a full work up - full blood panel, urinalyses, etc, because your cat is acting lethargic. These are signs of a bad, greedy and corrupt veterinary practice and I would recommend you run away as fast as you can and come to Trinity Pet Hospital to see Dr. Kerolos. Overall, I highly recommend this pet clinic over any other in South Orange County. You will receive compassion from every person in this hospital, and the other clients who bring their pets in feel the same. You can easily strike up and conversation with someone next to you in the waiting room while waiting for your turn to see the doctor in this busy practice. I love Trinity Pet Hospital. I will continue to come here as long as I live in this area, and/or as long as Dr. Kerolos is the main veterinarian. You as a client will leave happy, and your pet will leave healthy. I'll probably post later what happened with my Animal. I have been going to this vet since 2017. I have two cats. I've read a lot of one stars about animals - one three year old cat dying - and the old ones? Ha! They seem to push tests and out-of-pocket expense . I am way way way beyond furious with this group. I'm usually good with words, but I've gotta think about this for a minute before I set pen to paper. I just wanted to make the general public aware to get the heck away as soon as you can, especially if you have an older Animal, I'd say go - run don't walk. There's a vet called Newport Coast animal Hospital - 400% better. The cost is almost identical. Oh - and the rating is bogus because it pertains to the Vet that you used to be there for years and years and years and these people haven't been in more than two years so they're getting a bit of the pie of the prior veterinarian under Trinity Pet Hospital that does not pertain to them so 3.9 is not what they really have. Letter to BBB note: Trinity Pet Hospital owner of 20 plus years recently sold business to a new group within the past few years. This new group I don't believe was well-versed with what care my cat had been receiving from the "" old" owner. Since 2017 I have brought my cat to Trinity Pet Hospital for upper respiratory issues developed since a kitten He's been getting two 1 ml shots semi annually since 2017 Latter June 2025 the cat starts coughing I go immediately to get him shots.. Trinity Pet Hospital wanted bloodwork @$800. I indicated my cat is 21 years old. I'm not getting blood work. So they would not give him the steroid shot. They would only give him liquid steroids - which didn't work before, but they wouldn't listen to me. He didn't get better. I went back three more times in July. He still didn't get better... he couldn't breathe. I kept pushing on the phone to talk to a doctor.. I kept calling to ask for a doctor. They put me on hold. They hung up. They said the doctor would call me right back. They never called. Then the manager told me I was to see a cardiologist now! And that they would not help me or see me and hung up on me after eight years of being with them just hung up on me. Please see other people's posts on yelp regarding this manager woman. Next day I went to a new veterinarian in Newport Beach. The new veterinarian from the onset. asked do I want tests run or am I solely concerned for quality of life since he was 21 years old The new Vet looked over the records from Trinity Pet Hospital and noted the steroid dosages had been reduced from the norm dosage of 1 mm since 2017 and dropped to ..25. So we upped the dosage and my cat is walking around the house breathing well. I am no longer fearful for him not being able to breathe. I strongly believe that had left my cat in the hands of Trinity Pet Hospital my cat would be dead now or close to it. read more

I don even know where to start, have a dog named princess she is only 7 years old, this place was trying to tell me she was 14!!!! they cant even tell the difference between a 7 year old dog and a 14 year old dog!!! Dr. kEROLOS?? even said, " she has good eyes and legs for a 14 year old...what a joke!!! the stuff are the rudest people I HAVE ever met in my life. sent my grandma in they charged us $300 for a "test" because princess has a bump on her arm. after waiting 10 days and not hearing anything back and princess still crying in pain every night. i sent my grandma back in to figure out what is going on....they charged my grandma another $55! to tell her they cant do anything and they can promise the problem would be fixed. the first estimate they sent my grandma home with was $500...after the 2nd visit to get the test results witch they should have called the estimate came back at $800 and they charged my grandma $55 for a "recheck" they didn't even do anything!!!! when i asked Karen or Mario who ever works the front they said...anything you come here we have to charge you money...she said she didn't care if i left reviews and didn't care my grandma spent $400 ($100 of it was check in?) and we never got test results and princess still needs to go to the er. I was here over a month ago and I had an ok visit. But I'll start with the good stuff. When I called in to make the appointment i was greeted by a nice voice who even sounded like she was smiling. I was able to get an appointment for the day and time I was looking for. Big deal for me, that never happens. I asked about the exam fee and I was told that the first visit was free! Wow! When I came in for my appointment the waiting room was crowded and hot. I wasn't sure if the small area made it hot or that the AC didn't work. Anyway, I was again greeted well and asked to fill out some paperwork. I had to step outside to do so, but they gave me a clip board to make it a little easier. Once I was able to be seen, about 15-20 min after my scheduled time, I was taken to the exam room which was nice and a bit cooler. I didn't have to wait long though to have a nurse come in and get some information for the doctor, as she put it. I didn't know vet offices did that. I think the ladies name was Wendy. My dog was nervous, but soon warmed up to her. She picked him up and said I want to meet you first before we have to do anything else. He calmed down and I felt much better too. I answered all of her questions and liked the way she answered all of mine. The bad side, I wasn't sure how long I waited after that, but when the doctor came in he was so quick that I didn't even get his name. I found out later that it was a relief vet. I'm just glad I wasn't there for anything serious, just an ear infection. The estimate was reasonable and I was ok with leaving my dog in the Nurses hands. She let me know it would be about 10-15 mins. (Much better at client service then the doctor.) All in all I will have to see what happens next and ask if the regular doctor is working before I make an appointment again. Staff gets an A Doctor gets a D read more

After reading reviews, I took my dog there to have her spayed. I went because the price was cheap and the reviews were positive. Boy was I wrong.. You really get what you pay for. We dropped my dog (Penny) off in the morning and picked her up later that day. She seemed OK for the first day until she started wanting to urinate every 15 minutes. Then the next day, she started urinating every time she sleeps. We waited for a day or two to see if she stops naturally, but it got worse. Three days after the surgery, we took her to a local vet down the street. The local Vet said that Penny has formed Canine Urinary Incontinence and UTI, which was most likely caused by the surgery. The surgical process damaged the bladder sphincter that controls the bladder function. Now, after 6 months, Penny is still unable to control her bladder. She eats a pill everyday to help her control her bladder the pill causes side effects. It makes her vomit, lose appetite, cause diarrhea.. etc. After hearing about this from the local vet, I went back to affordable spay and neuter. You know what they did? They charged me for a vet visit and medication (which i could have bought at a store for 1/3 of the price). They said threes nothing they can do and I should feed it to her everyday. I didn't even get one sorry from the vet and he had the nerve to charge me for coming in. Avoid this place if you love your pet. You don't know whats going on back there. If you really love your pet, spend that extra $100 -200 and go some where else. read more

Dr. Kerolos and the Trinity Pet Hospital TEAM are the most generous and caring vet staff you will ever meet. We see why PetMatch Rescue used them for our 6 year old pup, Greyson when we adopted him. Dr. K did such a phenomenal job getting Greyson up to good health again after they rescued him from a high kill shelter, that we refused to take Greyson to another vet after we adopted him. We are glad we stuck with Trinity. We recently had a huge scare during a road trip to TX. A vet in TX wanted to euthanize our dog because he had pneumonia. THANKFULLY, Dr. Kerolos helped us and said Greyson does not need to be killed over pneomonia and to just get him home and he would help us. Dr. K and team helped us with a better TX team and coordinated on meds and a plan to get Greyson safely home to CA. Now that we have been home- Greyson is doing better and stronger every day! The entire staff at Trinity love Greyson and take such incredible care of him. Words cannot express our gratitude and respect for Dr. Kerolos and his amazing team. THEY DESERVE TO BE RECOGNIZED FOR THEIR GENUINE LOVE TOWARDS ANIMALS! They truly put pets first. Arrived at 10:40am for a 10:40am appointment. At 10:55 they told me that they would require an exam of my Boston Terrier as well, and it would just be a few more minutes. The Vet saw me and my dog at 11:30, and I found him to be very dispassionate in the extreme and not compassionate at all. The vet found some issues with her teeth, and was clearly in a rush to move on to the next patient as he quickly explained all the steps needed to be done. He asked if I had any questions, and I didn't because I didn't really understand everything he was saying so fast. He also seems like he was angry with me for mu Boston having some teeth that need to be removed. She's almost 12 and is ONLY fed dry dog food and occasional treats, never given any people food. If he thought I should have been brushing her teeth more often he could have said so instead of coming off so dismissive of me. They want me to bring my dog back for surgery to remove two of her teeth, but after looking at other reviews here about sad results of similar surgery, I am going to get a second opinion and go elsewhere. I walked out the door at 11:50am. I think the staff all mean well... but it would be nice if they could be a little less busy and not spread so thin. read more

This place is a joke! My pet had a surgery on 7-20 -2020. He had to wear a cone for over 29 days due to a very bad job on the surgery. Every Monday I was there for a re check . Oh Dr says everything is healing well leave cone on for 5 more days says the vet tech. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Plus always fun to have staff talking about clients behind their backs. Very very disappointed in the service. All the Dr cares about is money. If you actually saw my cat every time why would I want you to look at him again. So you can b s me. I was told you looked at him every time. Hmmm lies. All I ask for was a hundred back. I did the walk in on a Friday evening for my pets sore paw and limping a lot. Waited over an hour which they did say it will be a long wait and waited outside as my pet gets really nervous. No worries I expected this. There was an emergency so I can certainly understand that. People need to know there will always be a wait to some degree depending on what's happening with the pets there already. You know they will take care of your pet! So glad I did and my pup over the weekend was much better. Thank You Trinity. You guys are always so caring. Saw someone who had their pet go over the rainbow. On the phone, they gave us a quote of $20.00 for a vaccine, we asked multiple times if any other vaccine was needed, the answer was straight NO. They made us wait one hour then came back and slammed us $141.18 bill, and said you have, must get these today. And the answer was, well the person that gave you the quote is not a licensed nurse and should have not gave you the information. My answer was if she is not licensed or qualified to speak with the consumer, why is she on the phone in the first place?? No, you want to get the people to your place, make them wait one hour, and when they have no option they will give in to your outrageous plan. read more

Dr. Charlie Kamel is AMAZING! He is so knowledgeable, kind, and truly cares about his pets. Every visit, he takes the time to explain everything clearly and answers all my questions with patience and expertise.
