We were most impressed as we had to be picked up at 4:30 AM on the outbound and at 11:30 PM on the return. On the return, he found us and loaded our luggage quite efficiently. I highly recommend Travelwire for transportation to and from airports at odd hours. Far less expensive than previously used private driving services. Far more reliable than an Uber driver. The day of our departure, I messaged Oliver from Travelwire because I could not locate a number to call my pickup driver. He got back to me in a matter of minutes. I am forever changed from my Double Nickel Birthday Safari in Kenya. I went solo and I'm soooo glad…read moreI did. Don't be afraid to travel solo. It's everything!!. I cannot thank https://www.odysseysafaris.com enough for making my dream trip come true! The attention to detail, consistent communication, and VIP treatment was unmatched! Eliud Mwai, one of the owners, came to meet me personally to discuss my itinerary and ensure everything was meeting my standards. My guide-driver Charles Wahinga is near and dear to my heart! We spent every day together for a week and my trip would not have been as special without his kindness, passion for the land, people, wildlife and culture, without his hilarious sense of humor, openness, and exceptional skills! His passion for safari was contagious. I will forever call him Friend... and Kihingo! The areas they proposed, Nairobi, Lake Naivasha, Nakuru, and Masai Mara were expertly chosen and timed, based on what I expressed that I was looking for out of this trip. My lodging was top notch and my safety and comfort were always paramount. My bucket list trip was worth every penny and then some! I stayed at The Safari Hotel and Casino in Nairobi city. It was cool, but not my favorite in the list. In Naivasha, Sopa Lodge blew me away because the animals walk freely amongst the guest. I loved the intimacy of that! Food was off the chain too. In Nakuru, I stayed at the very high end lodging called The Cliff, an andBeyond property. The lodging and views were stunning! They only have 10 glamorous tents on the cliff top property, so the personal attention was on point! In the Masai Mara, I stayed at another andBeyond property called Kichwa Tembo. The Masai Warriors from the local village make regular visits there and welcome you with Masai dance performances. The food at every location was delicious and fresh, though I did get Travelers Gut my first day in Kenya. Thankfully, Mantazuma's Revenge only lasted two days. It's very likely you will get it, so plan for it with Imodium! I spread my Mom's ashes at the base of a tree in the Motherland. She would be pleased to rest in this most majestic place. If you're contemplating a Kenya visit, don't hesitate. It was life changing!

My country of choice was Kenya & I worked with Mark to arrange the eight day trip. Mark was extremely detailed about our travel arrangements. Our excursions, flights, food, hotel accommodation and transportation was arranged through Odyssey. With our reservation the Odyssey team shared information about Kenya's climate, recommended items we should travel with, clothing suggestions etc. The information was needed and sincerely appreciated. I arrived in Kenya at night and our guide Erastus was timely and friendly. Erastus stayed with the group the entire stay. The first night in Kenya we stayed in Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi, the hotel was rustic and beautiful. I highly recommend exploring the property if the opportunity is available. The breakfast at the hotel was fabulous, it was an entire feast of delicious items from fruit to meat items. After breakfast we were driven to the magical Naivasha Sopa Lodge where animals roamed freely on the compound. At night Hippos left the nearby lake to graze and in the day giraffes, monkeys, birds and other animals relaxed in the shaded areas. Our last stay was at the Masai Mara Game Reserve. It was a long, bumpy, adventurous ride to our final hotel. There were stops along the way to purchase souvenirs and the long drive provided a great view of the county and the people. I saw wild zebras, sheep and wild moneys hanging by the roadside. The Masai Mara Game Reserve rooms are tents on a secure compound. The staff at all locations were hospitable. Erastus was excellent at spotting animals and did an excellent job at ensuring we saw rhinos, elephants, snakes and lions. The trip was beyond my expectations and I would highly recommend traveling to Africa with Odyssey Safari.

We had never been to Florence, Cinque Terra or Tuscany before and the thought of trying to blindly plan a trip without guidance was overwhelming. Priscila listened to our goals and planned a trip allowing us to see and enjoy Italy. Not every vacation allows you to have time to absorb the culture, but our trip was planned implementing the perfect pace. We started in Florence which is a high activity city, went next to Cinque Terra which was toned down a bit and ended in a relaxing villa in Tuscany. Every detail was carefully considered with recommendations for sights to see, restaurants, even specific meals to consider! We had just the perfect amount of scheduled activities and days of leisure to explore as we wished. Priscila secured three days with private drivers who spoke English to take us to smaller surrounding villages-STUNNING. We knew exactly where to go, which train to take, had vouchers to tours so lines were skipped, and we stayed at BEAUTIFUL locations where everyone was friendly and the food outstanding! But most ESSENTIAL was the support Priscila provided when our airline was delayed, connecting flights missed, luggage lost, and problems with the airline not issuing a boarding pass. Travel can have a large stress component, but she had our backs ALL THE WAY! We don't know what we would have done without her continued support throughout our trip. It was a trip of a lifetime and we would do it over a millions times because of the superb planning and support provided by Tour Italy Now and Priscila Siano. Mille grazies!!! Forever grateful, Anne in Atlanta, GA

I asked one of the agents at Adler Travel to help me book a trip to Madrid and Paris so that my…read moredaughter, an art student, could see the great museums. The agent did competently book flights and hotels, and I'm choosing to see that as a "glass half-full". But she needed a couple of reminders and she took a couple weeks longer than she said she would. And really, in a world where we all have TripAdvisor, I'm not sure that saved me more than 4 or 5 hours versus doing it on my own. Where I really could have used help, there was none. I was very clear about the purpose of the trip and the museums we intended to visit. Those museums are currently deluged with tourists and all now require booking time slots weeks in advance. If we had shown up without pre-booked tickets, we would have been turned away, negating the entire purpose of the trip and wasting thousands of dollars. This kind of information - learned from personal trips to the destination or previous bookings - is the real added value a travel agent should provide. Our agent provided none. Luckily for us, I learned about the need for pre-booking from Rick Steves' books before it was too late to get in. It was too late to get the time-slots we wanted, however. Some of the slots were decidedly inconvenient. A few weeks' earlier start would have been extremely helpful - a heads-up from the agent would have made a huge difference. Our agent was simply MIA after the initial bookings. She did finally respond to an email requesting help booking flights from Madrid to Paris - after I'd already booked them myself - with apologies about missing my email in her very full inbox. I had to do all of the research and booking for the museums myself, something that took many hours. Every agency has multiple agents with different levels of experience and enthusiasm for the job. Adler has a good enough local reputation that I'm sure some of the other agents are more helpful. But my experience with my agent was not great. I credit Rick Steves for a successful trip, not my agent. If I hadn't checked those books, it would have been a complete fiasco.

After a few more questions John quickly came up with several options. He made the process even easier by reserving everything for us, and telling us what to expect at each step of our travels. BEWARE! Did NOT show up to take us to the airport!…read more We made a reseravtion several weeks in advance for a car to take us to and from the airport for our family Thanksgiving visit. I should have been leery when I first called to make the arrangements, because the guy sounded like Bobcat Goldthwait after a case of beer. But I trusted him anyway. Two days before the trip, I started trying to call to confirm that we were still on. Several times I called and nobody answered -- just the generic phone company voicemail prompt, with just the phone number rather than a customized greeting. Big warning sign! I kept trying, and eventually the same Bobcat Goldthwait guy answered. I asked him to confirm our appointment. He didn't remember it, but he said "I'm sure it's on my calendar. I'm not at my desk now, but I'll call you back later today to confirm." Never called back. I tried a few more times, usually getting the same generic voicemail. Finally, the day before the trip, a person answered, and I am 95% sure it was the same guy. (He has a very distinctive voice and manner.) I said, "Is this Bob's Car Service?" Long pause, then "Uhhhh... Who is this?" I said, "This is Aaron Emke, and I'm still trying to confirm that we're going to be picked up and taken to the airport tomorrow morning." Another long pause. "Uhhh, wait, what? Oh, I think you have the wrong number." I checked the number I had dialed on my phone's log, and it was correct. I tried again a minute later and got the generic voicemail. Clearly he had decided to get out of the car service business. I made other arrangements. The next morning, he did not show up, and at that point I no longer expected him to. Zero stars.
