I couldn't be happier with how high end the decor was. The grounds offered a beautiful appointed swimming pool, plus an area for evening fire pit fun. I never found the goats unfortunately but I'm sure next time hopefully I will get to know them. Overall, our accommodations were 5 star quality. The bedding was as comfortable as any 5 star hotel I've stayed at. Located on 6A , a beautiful route with the best experience of old cape cod homes and scenery. Ice cream shoppes, clam shacks, antique shops and shopping for cape cod artifacts were noted flanking both sides of the route for tourists. A continental breakfast was served in a picnic basket was an added touch. Muffins, yogurt, cereal were served on a sunny patio or bring your basket to your room. For me I was very pleased with the hospitality offered by Phil, very easy check in and check out. Better yet we went to a very famous breakfast restaurant on the cape called Grumpy's which is across the street from the Hotel. However, Due to lack of Parking at Grumpy's, Phil allowed us to park on site despite that we had checked out. Very kindly indeed. This is a family friendly spot that will offer everything necessary for a comfortable time while visiting Cape Cod. I'd give it 5 stars .

In the morning their continental breakfasts were super delicious (muffins and yogurt parfaits were my favorite) and the picnic baskets were a sweet touch. I appreciated their attention to living green!! They provided a fan if the weather allowed the AC to be turned off (our room had incredible cross breezes). Compostable flatware with breakfast and recycling available. We enjoyed the games around the fire pit, nightly. And loved visiting with the goats!! Everyone we interacted with on the property was so kind! We loved our stay and only wish the weather was better while we were here.

We especially loved the charming chickens roaming about, adding a touch of whimsy to the setting. There's also a huge sparkling pool, an inviting outdoor gazebo, and a cozy fire pit that is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the evenings! Our room was beautifully clean and quaintly decorated, complete with a cozy fireplace that made for a perfect evening retreat. The bed was insanely comfortable with high end linens. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, creating a serene atmosphere. Shawn and Sharon have truly thought of everything you might need in terms of amenities. You feel like you are at home. We had a bottle opener and wine glasses and even a mini fridge for our leftovers. Having shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion in the room is such a considerate touch! The shower pressure was great and the hot water was abundant. There were always plenty of fluffy towels to use too. Additionally, the fully stocked guest area was a lovely touch. From freshly baked snacks to beverages, games, ice and utensils, it felt like a home away from home, allowing us to relax and unwind at our leisure. They even have bikes for exploring the Cape Cod Rail Trail, complete with helmets! The multi-course breakfast, which will have you full until dinner, was freshly made using eggs from the roaming chickens! Each morning brought a new culinary delight, featuring fresh ingredients that were simply delicious. It was a wonderful way to start the day. The bedroom features an oversized California King bed, a desk and chair, television and lounge chair with ottoman. Beautiful French double doors lead to one of the loveliest features of the room which is a private deck with chairs. The living room has a delightful fireplace, comfortable sofa and another television. There is also a tastefuly done little kitchenette which was stocked with dishes and glassware as well as a mini fridge. And off the living room is the attractive bathroom stocked with toiletries and comfortable robes. Right outside our room was a Flavia coffee and tea maker as well as another refrigerator with complimentary creamer, soda and bottled water. The table in our bedroom also had a complimentary decanter of sherry and two scrumptious chocolate truffles were left on our pillows each evening. Although most of the inn's rooms are in a separate building a few steps away, breakfast is served each morning in the main house and in the company of Harrison, the inn's resident and well behaved Labradoodle. An afternoon sweet treat of cake or cookies is also provided in the main house and there's always a bowl of chocolates if you need a sweet to tide you over. We had the bad luck to not have the inn-keepers, Donna and Byron, in residence during most of our stay as they'd suffered a death in the family and were out of state. However, they'd left clear instruction with their staff about our arrival and we were warmly greeted and welcomed. During our stay, the staff was quick to answer questions about the area and to provide restaurant recommendations. The room itself also contained a lot of information about local attractions and restaurants. The night before our last day we came back to our room to find a complimentary bottle of champagne and note from the innkeepers with their sincere regrets for having been away during our stay. That was a very nice touch and was greatly appreciated. On the down side, we actually didn't think much of the breakfasts as they were largely flavorless and frequently included microwaved bacon. We wondered if the food suffered due to Donna's absence because she was billed as the cook. Both Donna and Byron were back on our last morning and it was Donna who prepared our breakfast that day. The food did improve under her stewardship but we'd still say it compared poorly to other B&B's we've visited. Our room, though lovely, did have some oddities. All the plumbing fixtures were installed backwards so that all handles turned in an atypical direction and the shower pipe was loose which restricted some of the water pressure. The impression was that the work had not been professionally done. In the bedroom, the bed was oddly situated with one side far too close to the wall despite more than ample room on the other side. It made it uncomfortable for the person sleeping on that side to get in and out of bed. Finally, we do have somewhat of a pet peeve with inn-keepers who advertise suites, which should be two separate rooms divided by a door, even though the room does not meet that criteria. In this case, the only separation between the bedroom and living room was a screen. Nevertheless, the inn was quite nice and Donna and Byron were charming hosts who had trained their staff well. Brewster is located mid-Cape and convenient for day trips to Hyannis and Provincetown which makes this a good choice for a place to stay and there are some lovely beaches right by the inn. Overall we enjoyed our stay on Cape Cod very much.

You can park at the Inn and walk to the beach to prevent having to pay the $20 parking fee at the beach. You can really see that the owners take pride in ensuring that your stay is perfect. Upon check in, you are greeted by the owner (her name is escaping me), but she is so sweet and explains everything thoroughly - even offered to give us some restaurant recommendations! The room itself seemed to be meticulously cleaned and freshly decorated. It was simple, no frills, but perfect for a short stay. The bed was comfy and pillows were perfect. You can use the rocking chairs on the patio outside to sit and relax. The beach that is nearby is Earle Rd Beach. It's not the type of beach I'm personally used to as it's located on the Bay instead of the Ocean. There are very few waves so it's ideal for kids to swim in. It has a great location steps to the beach (about 250 according to the innkeeper), a pool, a newly obtained liquor license so you can purchase drinks, and a friendly staff. It all made for a pleasant place to stay. The included continental breakfast was very nice - it is limited to 8am to 9:30am. A nice selection of yogurts, cereals, bread items, fruit, hard boiled eggs, juice. Also has one of those press a button, get a pancake machine. A couple of toasters, but they toast slowly. Fresh coffee is available at 7am, and Keurig machine is located in the lobby. The grounds are well maintained with beautiful flowers and greenery out front. The rooms all have chairs so you can sit outside with a pool in the center of property. A good idea for the Commodore would be to install a clothes drying rack in front of the rooms since everyone uses the chairs to hang wet bathing suits, towels, etc.. could make things more convenient and look neater. The rooms were nicely updated. The bathroom in our room (125) was very small, but luckily the sink is outside. The toilet/bathtub area's door barely clears the toilet so it feels a bit small - especially if its more than 2 in a room. The in the wall AC worked well, and the white noise it generates help to block outside noise. There was an issue about drinking your own alcohol you brought in since they now have a liquor license. There was sign in the room that your own alcohol could not be consumed anywhere on the grounds. I never heard of this before, but Massachusetts has strange liquor laws so something you may want to keep in mind. I like they have free to borrow beach chairs and beach carts for bringing stuff to the beach - so no need to pay the $20 parking fee to bring a car to the super close beach. Shuffleboard and cornhole games are on the grounds. Harwich is a nice, family friendly town with some nice places to eat nearby, or a short drive to other parts of the Cape. A good place to stay especially if beach accessibility is your thing!

John is very friendly and gives great recommendations in terms of things to do and places to eat in cape cod but also openly shares his interesting personal stories. We spent hours just chatting with him and Kris during our stay and we loved every conversation! Kris's baking skills are exceptional as he made various goods during our stay such as blueberry muffins, apricot muffins, almond cookies, white chocolate cookies and more! He even accommodated our special request and made a lemon tart from scratch (including the crust), which tasted delicious and is definitely restaurant quality. The breakfast Kris and John make every morning is also delicious! Also want to shoutout their friend, David, who was helping out for the Summer, as he was also very friendly and fun to chat with.
