Vacasa service sucks. They do not have their customer help phone number correct. They have been asked many times but do not seem to care.

Molly from Vacasa reached out after my initial review, and suggested that they would look into the issues, and perhaps offer a partial refund, but have had zero response once again. No apparent interest in improving their service IMHO. Zero stars. The irony is that after our stay, we received a recruitment letter from Vacasa offering to manage our SoCal and AZ rental properties. Lighthouse Home The view was a treat! Beautiful sunset, the Yaquina Head Lighthouse flashing from the distance. The wide front yard was great for kids to run around. The home is very clean and has everything we needed, we prepared breakfast at home. The heating system was very adequate. Beddings and towels more than adequate. We used the TV DVD system as well. The kids are requesting to return to this home in the summer! We have not stayed in the same Vacasa home twice since we live trying different places and homes, but we may this summer if possible! I rented a cabin with 6 friends for a weekend - the day before, I received an email from Vacasa notifying me that a safety-related PGE power outage was likely to occur in the area due to wind and fire danger (no power = no AC when it's 90 degrees outside - so not only miserable but probably unsafe). The email stated "If you ... would like to explore other accommodation options for your stay, please reach out to our Customer Experience team at 800-544-0300." I spent 45 minutes on the phone with 2 different representatives - only to be told that - they will not issue any refund (not even a single freaking dollar - I asked) - they will not issue any credit for a future stay - nor can they provide any alternative accommodations (Such great options). When I asked why their email offered calling in at all - they literally said they "did not know why the email stated that" - because they were being told there was nothing they can do since it wasn't with in their control. But you know what IS in their control? Better customer service - which starts with NOT sending MISLEADING and HALLOW emails. Why invite people to call and waste their time - when you refuse to help in ANY way. I hope this company fails. read more

8 Fremont Village - Sunriver Fremont Crossing is our favorite location in Sunriver and our 1st choice when available. The Village is 0.1 miles, SHARC is 0.3 miles, Fort Rock Park is 1.9 miles, and the Marina, Stables, and Nature Center/Observatory are just over a mile away. We find that we go to the Village almost daily for something we need at the Country Store, to grab a drink at Starbucks, or to pickup food at one of the restaurants. We were a group of 6: a family of 4 with 2 kids (boys ages 6 and 4) and 2 grandparents. The layout is perfect with one primary bedroom with en-suite on one side, and on the other side of the house is the other primary bedroom with en-suite, kids room w/ 2 beds and a kids bath. The rooms with en-suite are separated by a small bonus room that created nice separation between our family wing on one side and the grandparents on the other side. All bedrooms are on the second level. The first level is spacious, well laid out, and nicely appointed. Although there is a shared wall, the areas against the wall are the laundry area, kitchen, and downstairs powder room. The 2nd floor doesn't share a wall. We had neighbors and never heard them. Pros: Convenient location near Village Layout works well for families and groups with 2 couples Arcade Game for kids in family room Open floor plan 1st floor Well appointed kitchen Working ice maker and water filter 8 Recreation Plus passes for entry into SHARC (even during COVID restrictions) and for tennis reservations (no walk-on during COVID). Pantry space for food 5 adult bikes (one tandem) and 4 kid bikes, plus helmets Pool towels provided Lots of board games Neighborhood has a nice loop for kids to ride bikes/scooters Cons: No curtains on bedroom windows. There are wood blinds but they let in lots of light so you wake up with the sun. Not great with little kids. We used temporary wall hooks to hang curtains so our kids didn't wake up at 5:30 am but the owner/mgmt should add curtains to every bedroom. After reading other reviews, we expected some thermostat issues. The owner has the thermostat locked at low temp of 70 degrees. At night we were hot and sweaty. The bonus room doesn't have a vent and makes the upstairs warmer. We brought fans but they didn't help. It was 90+ degrees during our stay so evening temps didn't fall below 70 degrees until after midnight. Since this unit borders the path to the village and backs to the parking lot, open windows let in noise from people outside. We talked to Vacasa 3 times about the thermostat during our stay and requested the code to unlock the thermostat. They tried their best to help and offered fans but the owner would've provide the code and said the central AC "freezes" below 70 degrees. Other reviewers were told the same at 67 and 68 degrees so it appears to be getting worse. We would have to turn the temp down to 70 about 3 hours before bedtime to get the rooms cooled down, which made the downstairs freezing. Repeated issues/complaints is unacceptable and the HVAC system needs repair/replacement as the solution. A vent in the bonus room is needed. No outdoor dining table and chairs. There are lounge chairs but we would have preferred a dining table and umbrella so we could eat outside. The path between Fremont Crossing and the Village is next to this unit. That means people are passing by all the time. This also refugees the size of the driveway making a 3rd car a challenge (2 fit fine). Approx. 20 TV channels were unavailable (almost all sport channels, TNT) and Vacasa was unable to resolve with Bend Broadband. Remember to bring: liquid hand soap. The pics show soap dispenser but they were all broken and it took us numerous trips to find liquid hand soap at nearby stores. Not provided: body wash, robes, tools (screw driver, Alan wrench), dryer sheets, kid plates/cups. The holly bushes by the driveway and tree need pruning. They made it hard to get in and out of our cars. Overall, we had a fabulous stay and would rent this unit again. This info would have been helpful to me so I hope it helps others! read more

There is not enough space here to write about all the difficulties I had with Vacasa regarding a recent stay (pre-Covid 19) I had at a property they manage. The highlights (or rather the lowlights): We arrived to find wet mildewed laundry in the washer, dry clothes in dryer, and dirty linens waiting to be laundered. Before we could do anything else, we had to take care of these three loads just to have towels in the bathrooms and linens in the kitchen. Then there was the refrigerator with a clogged drain line. Two shelves in the frig ended up with puddles of water. This ruined pizza we intended for dinner and an expensive birthday cake. In the kitchen, we found a science experiment of two cups with ancient cocoa in them and a coating of mold on top. They had to have been there for a LONG period of time. One of the hide-a-beds was broken to the point it couldn't be used. It still had sheets and blankets on it from previous guests. If the linens had been changed, Vacasa staff would have known of the broken bed. Don't know which is worse......that they knew they had a broken bed but didn't tell us we would be short sleeping accommodations or that they didn't open the bed to change the sheets and just left dirty ones on it. We picked up large hairballs on our socks as we walked through the house. I could go on but will stop here with the gross details. Contact me if you want more horror stories. Another shameful detail.........this property had glowing reports just one month before we stayed there. There's no way those reviews could have been valid given the filth in the house and lack of maintenance. It took a long time for the house to get in the condition we found it. I suspect at least some of the previous reviews were planted. I have received 20% refund of the nightly rental rate - not 20% of the total cost I paid, just of the nightly rate. In no way do I consider this reasonable. Another particularly galling detail, we had to pay the cleaning fee (even though we had to do housekeeping when we arrived) and the fee for using the hot tub which was not working. Finally, if you want a relaxing, stress free get away,........DO NOT RENT VACATION PROPERTIES MANAGED BY VACASA. read more

What a cute little place at the Little Tahoma Cabin. We had two adults, one 7 year old and a dog. The little house was well stocked with basic essentials, clean and fresh. 4 adults could stay here yet it would be pretty cramped. Alas, it's an adorable and safe neighborhood with walking distance to beautiful Lake Tahoe. We had been concerned bringing our dog but were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to find an awesome dog trolley with cable right out front. Our dog was able to enjoy walking around and safely staying within the area while we enjoyed the beautiful porch and relaxed. We even had 3 bears visit which added excitement to our week. Hope to be back soon. Cooks little cabin is beautifully decorated and comfy. read more

Beautiful views!! Waters Edge 411, Okaloosa Island, FL The resort is nice and kept clean and in order. The pools are huge and gorgeous! The condo is nice and clean and had mostly everything we needed. The view from the balcony is AMAZING! Parking is very convenient, park on the 4th floor of the deck and the condo is right there. We had a great time. We had only one small issue with WiFi but our manager was in touch via text within minutes and by an hour later we had it going. No other problems. Only feedback (to the owner) is that it could use some minor updates like faucets and sofa. We weren't looking for major luxury and loved the place but I know some folks are into all that. -upon check in on 1/6/2017, we arrived to a handyman attempting to fix the sink, water had flooded the kitchen and living room which we had to use towels to soak up. -after 3 hours, the handyman left us with this solution to the sink problem: not to use the sink, the KITCHEN sink. He claimed that the pipes were frozen and that caused the flood. However, my husband who is a plumber took a look at the sink the next day and unclogged a huge clump of spaghetti that was actually clogging the drain -no frozen pipe -we checked into a "home" with cracked and duct taped toilet seat, stained bathroom mats, holes in the walls, dirty sheets on the bed and a giant heap of dishes and bacon grease on the kitchen counter. Dishes that were left behind from someones dry gross stinky food, which we couldn't even wash FOR someone because we were instructed not to use the sink -when I reached out to the assigned manager Friday night, he told he couldn't do anything (about the pipe or the dirty conditions) because of the snow. He offered to bring over some paper plates for us to use and I agreed -when Brian arrived to drop off the paper utensils for us to use he told me that I should tip him for making the long journey out there given the weather. I found this to be rude and in bad taste. -the garbage is every room and the outdoor cans were all full upon arrival -dirty wet towels were left in the washer, we discovered them at check in I have never stayed in such a poorly maintained and dirty place. The most disappointing was the hostile attitude we received from local management. When I called to inform him there were dirty dishes and laundry here at check in he said "well would do you want me to do about that now?" The response I got from the local management office was a bad attitude and lack of accountability. Following our stay I also reached out to the local office for resolution but I was instead ignored and my calls were not returned. read more

The home was alright, it was comfortable enough but priced a too high for being run down. The sliding glass door would not open and close, clearly needed to be fixed and there were a few other problems with some of the doors not closing and opening easily. There was a smell in the home like rotten sea food or a dead mouse when we arrived. My party and I were also not impressed that check in is late- 4pm and check out is really early, 10 am. That's very early if you're asking guests to do cleaning such as laundry and dishes before checking out. We cleaned up really well and this made us a little late on exiting the property. I then got a text asking us about not being out of the house as we were pulling away. It was it was just about 20 mins after 10. It was unnerving that "they" knew we hadn't left. I'm not sure if this was due to cameras or something but it was weird, it felt like we were being spied on. Lastly we thought we may have left an item at the home. I called to see if the cleaners could keep an eye out or if it was found and was told it was a $25 fee to have someone "look" for it. Seemed a bit much since there are people cleaning the home often anyway and they may have already found it. This was our first experience with Vacasa. We'll stay in a hotel next time where check in is earlier, check out is later and we don't have to spend time cleaning. Plus at a hotel they would just keep an eye out for a lost item, no big deal. read more

Vacasa would prefer my family stay at a cabin that we booked 3/2021 with Covid then allow us a credit due to us being exposed at my child's daycare yesterday, days before our trip. This trip meant a lot to us and now on top of the stress of waiting out an incubation period to see if my small children have Covid we have to cancel a birthday trip and eat the cost. **Lengthy but please read- could save you hours** I have never left a negative review before..... Vacasa was terrible. We arrived after check in time to a dirty cabin in the middle of a pandemic. I had to call Vacasa 5!! times before I got a "resolution." They moved us to a cabin 25 minutes away but not until we had waited around for over 2 hours in the yard of the dirty cabin. The new cabin had a broken stove, toilet and grill. Next day, two Vacasa employees entered the cabin unannounced & maskless saying we weren't supposed to be there (we were). We moved back to Marshall's cabin that night. It was a waste of our vacation time to move back and forth between the two cabins. Back at Marshall's the grill didn't work nor did the internet. 3 more phone calls and no resolution. I spent over 5 hours on the phone with Vacasa before the offered me a $100 credit. Another 1.5 hours of phone time and I finally reached a supervisor and was given a partial refund. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Don't rent from this company. They could care less about your satisfaction and openly went against the health rules set down by Oregon during a pandemic. read more

If I could give Vacasa negative reviews, I would. Everything about Vacasa is terrible. Their customer service is the worst. Their agents have no brains and found on the streets and cannot read or think outside the box. This was a horrible experience dealing with them. HORRIBLE. 1) We booked a trip 2 weeks before (due to COVID). On the website that MARY from Vacasa sent to me, there were ZERO details. I wanted to find out what the house provided and had additional questions. I called Wyndham vacation rentals first. 45 minutes on hold, finally got answered to tell me to call the 305 vacasa line. On hold for another 1.5 hours answered by the clueless Mary O. I kept asking questions and everything out of her mouth was "I think", "well it doesn't say it on the website". Absolutely clueless. I asked to speak to a manager and said they would call me back. Right. I'm not believing that. I asked her a question and she said well it's not on the website so they don't have it. BUT on the website, it says that there is a shuttle. Guess what? There is no shuttle. Mary couldn't seem to understand that THEIR website wasn't updated and held no accountability for that because VACASA is right and the customers are dumb. I think it's the other way around. 2) I send Mary and email. A week later and no response. When I called again and waited another 45 minutes on hold, I was told that she responded. Does she even understand how to work email? 3) We are on our way. My husband called the day before and was told we could request early check in. We were told we would get an email the MORNING OF OUR CHECK IN DATE with information on where to go to check in. It is now 11:30 and no email. So we call. 45 minutes, Han answers (not sure if that's his right name). He tells me we have to wait for the email. We tell him we requested the early check in and he says we have to wait for the email. It was as if we were talking to a robot. We explain to him what we were told and he says "wait for the email." Time to call the ever so smart, Mary. Mary swears again that she responded to my email. I think she means she's answering the phone. I honestly dont' think she even knows what email is. But that is besides the point. She says the same thing. BASICALLY EVERYONE THAT WORKS HERE, has no clue what they are doing. 4) Another thing I learned is this company has changed names 3 times. Could it be because they went bankrupt or change in management? Maybe the original owners wanted NOTHING to do with it. No wonder. It is terrible. Save yourself the headache and avoid Wyndham vacation rentals, Vacasa, and resort quest WITH ALL THAT YOU HAVE. They are literally a pain to deal with, their customer service sucks and I feel like I'm dealing with toddler with whoever answers the phone. The most incompetent people in the world. read more

They have some great property options all around the PNW but they've got disastrous customer care. I had a reservation for April that was made prior to C19 hit that was cancelled because the local city closed to tourists. Vacasa refused to issue me a refund or credit. I spent hours trying to get my money / credit back. I had to provide all kinds of local jurisdiction proof that it's closed when Vacasa was the one that told me it was closed / cancelled in the first place. After a lot of work to get a credit I had to call in to schedule a new reservation and had to wait on hold for five hours to get a customer service representative to help me. I will avoid renting from a Vacasa managed property if at all possible. read more

We stayed in Destin at a Vacasa property on St. Johns Court. It was wonderful with great bathrooms..amazing showers. The cottage was clean, the beds were comfy and we didn't need to interact with anyone. We had a wonderful vacation and the property just felt like a home away from home. We stayed at Dexter Woods at Government Camp, OR. A cute, green a-frame. Inside. Clean, neat and homey. My kids loved sleeping upstairs in the loft. I found the downstairs bed very firm. The kitchen had all you would need and bonus points for a nice selection of board games. The cabin stayed cool on 85 degree days. Outside. No grass and dusty, rocky roads. The house is about 500 feet from the main road of Government camp, there are other houses about 40-50 feet away. The fire pit was moderately secluded with high plants growing around it. We did not notice the main road or town noises. read more

What a horrible experience with this company! I'm not even sure where to start. First off, we thought we were booking a Manzanita cottage with VRBO; however, as it turns out, this was a property managed by Vacasa. We were told the property would be available for a 3:00pm checkin. We were delayed in Portland and didn't arrive at the Oregon coast until after 6:00pm. We noticed the street in front of the property was being repaved and was closed. We finally parked and entered the cottage hoping to drop off our things and go to dinner. As we entered we noticed a musty smell and then discovered crumbs on the carpet, dirty dishes in the sink, an un-flushed toilet, and soiled bed linens. Truly disgusting conditions! A long and frustrating series of calls followed wherein the Vacasa rep refused to take responsibility or escalate the matter to his manager. We ended up contesting the charges and were successful (having detailed photos certainly helped). What was unfortunate was the fact that we had to find last minute alternate accommodations (and paid a premium) in addition to cutting our holiday short. I would advise anyone looking to rent a vacation property to stick with AirBnB which has excellent customer service and takes responsibility for the properties it contracts with. read more

4-Night Stay at South Harbor 04F, Pensacola Beach The unit met all of our needs and was nicely furnished. It was a very enjoyable "home away from home." We have no concerns or complaints about the unit. The view of Sabine Bay from the balcony was very nice. It was a bit different in the COVID environment to not have face-to-face contact with someone in the office. But, Karen, next door at the Resort Quest Property Mgt Office, was helpful and answered each of our questions. The reservation and check-out process was very easy to attend to. We appreciate the helpfulness of the Vacasa staff. We will be back! read more

Do not use this HORRIBLE company! The site will not show you if something is currently unavailable during this time, but they will let you book and take and charge your credit card. Then they will cancel your reservation due to Covid-19 but will not refund your money if your reservation was within 30 days time, you can only use a "credit" on their site. Why wouldn't you not list what is currently unavailable? Shouldn't one of the first steps before letting someone book and pay for a place, be to check if the location is currently available? That is what a GOOD rental agency would be doing. read more

Booked a home in Nov. 2020 for 3 nights near Mt. Hood in Rhododendron. The private hot tub was great, however, we had issues that were not properly resolved. During the 2nd night, the heating system quit and we woke up freezing. We did get it working again, but decided we were too uncomfortable to endure that again and left that day. Also advertised 2 flat Screen T.V.s and Netflix streaming. Neither of the T.V.s had any reception and the Netflix did not work. We were very disappointed they had advertised amenities they did NOT provide. Sent in 2 emails (don't waste your time) and finally called to alert them and request one night refund. Did receive a very small refund, but our vacation was miserable. ALSO: Vacasa only posts reviews that have at least 4 stars on their site! NO truth there! BEWARE!!! read more

I have been using Vacasa for my property in Davenport FL since Jan 2020. I have had great revenue even in 2020 with Covid. I love the fact that small maintenance items are handled and i dont have to worry about it. I have the linen program that i love. Always fresh clean towels and bed linen. Housekeeping does a great job of cleaning. i do have a few minor complaints about housekeeping missing or broken items are not immediately reported. Example 2 remote controls and Dishrack were missing- housekeeping should have reported this. I periodically stay in my home just to do updates and personally inspect property. Not sure how long they had been missing. Good news when reported insurance covers replacements or for damages. I pride myself on getting good reviews. Now complaint I have good neighbors who also watch my home. Housekeeping left the lights on for 3 days- nobody was checking in and blinds were all left open. Its hot in Florida. Causing electric bill and air conditioner to run in an unoccupied home. Property Manager was contacted 2 days in a row said it would be taken care of and as of today has not been. Other than that I know that no company is perfect but I do wish housekeeping would report things as soon as they see damages etc. Also to turn the lights off. Electric bill went up $60 last month when it was occupied not sure how much it will go up with lights left on for 72 hours plus.straight? Property manager is pretty good about responding to concerns. Canceled our booking after Vacasa attempted to invoice roughly $27k of charges against my credit card (x3 attempts). Had to call my bank and officially dispute all of the authorizations to ensure that the charges didn't go through even after canceling. Vacasa failed to respond to any messages. When called they gave some excuse about problems with their finance software, but still didn't cancel any of the pending charges which essentially locked up my credit card. Would never trust, or book with them again. read more

Be warned! If you want to get any sleep go elsewhere!!!!!! On arrival all seemed fine, but within minutes you realized this place needs EXTREME TLC. Broken: blinds no privacy and close neighbor, lamps also many burned out bulbs, TV, sink sprayer and most importantly bed frame! The queen mattress died sometime around 2011 it has become a giant bowl and the twins are lumpy concrete. We slept on couch and day bed in living room with broken blinds so neighbors saw all. In the lower level patio were old cigarette butts, broken furniture and moldy beer bottles!!!! The dryer left greasy spots on our clothes (permanently ruined) and the lint filter is shredded and dangerous (used a pencil eraser to clean after it cut my fingers). The only toilet paper was what remained on roll. And no laundry soap. The one star was for location as my daughters wedding was on Russell Key so it was very convenient. Not worth the $$$$$ price tag. Go elsewhere. read more

We had a wonderful four night stay in Sun Valley in January 2021. The location of our unit (International Village B4B5) can't be beat! You can check out the status of the Challenger lift lines from the window of the condo! It is a very short walk to Warm Springs Lodge. The unit was well stocked with kitchen supplies and spices. It is very comfortable for two couples, with one bedroom on the ground floor and the second bedroom on the top floor. We would definitely stay in this unit again! read more

I recently made a reservation with them and never received check in instructions. They are completely automated, which can be good, but when I tried to call, I tried across several days and only sat on hold (sometimes up to 2 hours). I sent emails to info@vacasa.com and never received a response. I finally showed up on the day of my reservation and went to their offices, and yes they were closed due to COVID19. I saw a post it note on the front door that said "for deliveries call this number" at which point I finally got someone. They gave me a number for the head housekeeper and I found her. So my kids paid for two nights for our Christmas gift, not cheap. Found out check in isn't till 4 pm tomorrow, so no code activates till then, but check out is 10am! So basically they paid for two nights but we only got one day to enjoy the rental. And this is standard with vacasa so my recommendation would be to go privately so you can talk to the owners directly about in and out times. We are arriving at our rental at noon so have to kill four hours before getting in. Total BS. We're going for the cabin, not the surrounding area, so getting in, lighting a fire, making dinner, that was the plan. Not waiting around in the cold till dark. Will not be using this rental management company with their strict policies again. If it were inexpensive then ok, but this isn't. This is a luxury cabin with open fireplace and ocean views and tomorrow is going to be stormy so it's not like we can kill four hours walking on the beach. I'm not going to disappoint my kids by telling them but I'm upset. They paid way more than they should have. read more
