We had Bill's Fence Company install well over a year ago and did not realize the gates were not…read morehung correctly until a year later when I open the small gate the first time and it would not close again. I then started looking at the rest of the install and researched industry standards. I then realized the large gate was harder to open and on inspection saw it was installed poorly. See photos. He even used a hand saw to cut off the bottom of the gate at a angle to keep it from dragging the ground so I would not notice. There is only two hinges on a gate that requires three hinges by industry standards. The one side was mounted crooked. Another issue that a friend who in installed fence in the past identifies is the concrete is supposed to be level or below ground and not above ground as freezing temperatures can push them out. In one photo you can see that the concrete is so high out of the ground that he actually cut three or four pieces of fence short on the bottom to go up and over the concrete. When I contacted bills several months ago I was mainly wanting Gates fixed and was not expecting the entire fence to be reinstalled correctly. They sent an estimator out to look it over and then never got back to me. I called them a month or two later to ask what their decision was. They said I was past warranty and that everything they saw in the photos was attributed to weather and normal wear and tear. The employee also explained to me that the subcontractor they used for my job had left a prior job to try installing fences and ended up going back to his original job because he was not good at fence installation and apparently bills eventually dropped him due to his poor installations I would assume. All I was asking for is the one side of the large gate to be installed correctly and the rear gate to be repaired so it will actually close. I do not feel I was asking for too much under the circumstances.

Richard was so fast and reasonable, I had him also do a nearby relatives gate. Richard and his team, also did badly needed repairs and added skirting to my backyard porch yard porch. I am a bit handicapped with a bad back and knees and Richard went out of his way to install a small paved deck in my front yard as well as installing a new flag pole with a stone border. I highly recommend Richard for any fence, deck or custom handyman work, he's fast friendly and affordable!

The owner Anthony Black has refused to fix their poor quality workmanship mistakes.

This company turned my new homeowner experience into a nightmare…read more I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Let me give you a list... Termite repair project quoted at 3 weeks to complete. They started in April, and didn't finish until August. Why did it take so long? Again and again they refused to measure and would not buy enough material, each time we would be forced to wait for weeks for more to come in. They eventually had our house torn up to the point where we could no longer live in it. During that time, they made no effort to speed up the process. The time it took aside, they left our house in completed shambles. Burnt out nodes in the breaker box from their heavy equipment being used in 15 amp plugs, multiple plugs stripped out and unusable, antique furniture and light fixtures ruined by being left out in the weather, and fixtures shattered by careless furniture moving. Dust and dirt on every surface of our house, they couldn't be bothered to put up plastic separators where they weren't working l. Dead grass patches all over the front from them leaving trash in our yard. House filled with trash and used construction material And on one day, one of their floor people literally BROKE INTO OUR HOUSE. They came in through a window on a Saturday while we weren't home, and we were only notified when the alarm was triggered. They put our door on crooked, and sprayed too much foam around one of the windows which pushed it down. (They "fixed" it with trim but it's so compacted it could shatter at anytime" The explicitly destroyed and threw away the old hardwood even after I asked to keep it. They shattered the light fixture in the back bedroom after I asked to keep it (they had knocked it down but it wasn't ruined yet) They made a piece of trim too large and my bathroom door won't close. They covered antique furniture (couches and other things that are hard to wipe down) with ceiling speckle and sawdust. No effort was made to clean it. They screwed up more but that's about all I have room for here. On top of all of this, on their last day, they brought someone in who pressured me, and lied about the nature of the satisfaction form. They used the wording "assuming we continue to clean and repair damage, are you willing to sign this form" As soon as I signed it, they packed up and left, and now there is nothing I can do to fix the rest of the issues. This is a dishonest, unskilled, sorry excuse for a company and if the owners are reading this.... Do better or close it down, Becuase no one deserves what you and your team put them through.
