I just want to say that I am extremely pleased with the job Bill's fence company did on installing my new fence in Ward Arkansas. They were very professional! They were there when they said they was going to be there, and they actually finished ahead of schedule! I have never seen a more straight fence in my life and the crew's cleanup and attention to detail was beyond reproach. Thanks to Bill's fence company for all the good work--I now have the best looking fence in town! read more

We had Bill's Fence Company install well over a year ago and did not realize the gates were not hung correctly until a year later when I open the small gate the first time and it would not close again. I then started looking at the rest of the install and researched industry standards. I then realized the large gate was harder to open and on inspection saw it was installed poorly. See photos. He even used a hand saw to cut off the bottom of the gate at a angle to keep it from dragging the ground so I would not notice. There is only two hinges on a gate that requires three hinges by industry standards. The one side was mounted crooked. Another issue that a friend who in installed fence in the past identifies is the concrete is supposed to be level or below ground and not above ground as freezing temperatures can push them out. In one photo you can see that the concrete is so high out of the ground that he actually cut three or four pieces of fence short on the bottom to go up and over the concrete. When I contacted bills several months ago I was mainly wanting Gates fixed and was not expecting the entire fence to be reinstalled correctly. They sent an estimator out to look it over and then never got back to me. I called them a month or two later to ask what their decision was. They said I was past warranty and that everything they saw in the photos was attributed to weather and normal wear and tear. The employee also explained to me that the subcontractor they used for my job had left a prior job to try installing fences and ended up going back to his original job because he was not good at fence installation and apparently bills eventually dropped him due to his poor installations I would assume. All I was asking for is the one side of the large gate to be installed correctly and the rear gate to be repaired so it will actually close. I do not feel I was asking for too much under the circumstances. read more

To begin with, the estimator, Ed, was very professional throughout the entire ordeal. He went above & beyond, including cleaning up the horrible messes the installers left. His bosses are the problem in my opinion. After Ed did an on-site survey, we signed a two-page agreement to proceed. The first insult from Bill's after that was when we were presented a 10-page document, of which 3 pages consisted of verbiage explaining what Bill's would do to us if we didn't pay them. I voiced my opinion and displeasure with the tone of the document to Ed but decided to proceed (against my better judgement, but we wanted to get it done) and wrote a check for the 1/2 down. They had our check cashed in less than 4 hours. BTW, Ingle Fence was 5K less, but we liked Ed's professionalism and demeanor very much. I also referred a friend to Bill's and they did a pitiful job on hers. She has said that she will NOT recommend Bill's to any of her friends. So far, they have declined to correct two of the three deficiencies (1) pickets excessively spaced and warping present in just 60 days (2) picket bottoms just "floating" above bottom 1 x 6 on one section, and (3) didn't bother to even address the first problem I pointed out i.e., the top wood 2x4 cap of one section of fence not being level. They offered to "upgrade" the excessive picket spacing as a "goodwill" gesture by ONLY charging us another $4,500 on top of the 20K we already paid. They claim that the pickets shrank in the 60 days since installation. Buried on page 6 of the 10-page contract, is an explanation of the grade of wood they use. It's allegedly a #2 grade which, after seeing it in an installed condition, is one grade higher than it deserves. In addition, just to add insult to injury, Bill's office girls tried to collect the 1/2 down at the beginning of the job TWICE. They then tried to collect the final payment on completion TWICE. There was nothing nefarious about the duplicate collection attempts, just incompetence. To their credit, they did a site visit and took pictures. I asked that they report back via phone call, as I had already received one of their "FU" emails. So naturally, they DIDN'T report back via phone, instead, I got another "FU" email from them. In the end, their workmanship & materials warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on, other than for Bill's to throw it in your face when a complaint is registered. I have NEVER reviewed a business online, but I feel as tho future prospective customers of Bill's need to be aware that their workmanship is lacking & that the wood they use is substandard in my opinion. Bill's is a very arrogant company for no apparent reason IMHO. Beware, regardless of how much you pay. read more

The access control team at Bill's Fence Company is in my opinion the best in the state! From knowledgeable salesmen to highly experienced installers, I was truly impressed. They kept me in the loop, every step of the way, from ETAs, to end user programming. The job was finished on time, and the quality of the install is beyond what you'd typically expect from a fence company: Beautiful welds, tactful touch - up, wire and cable management is on par with IT quality. Thank you Bill's Fence Company! read more

I didn't shop around or educate myself enough concerning chain link residential fencing prior to commissioning Bills's Fence to install my fence. After a disappointing experience I learned that others shared my concerns. Communication, quality of installation and deadlines were very disappointing. read more

You sign a contract saying they will install the fence within 3 weeks, don't expect this to be true. You pay 50% when you sign the contract so basically they already got part of your money so they don't care. After 4 weeks past and I didn't hear from them I called them and all I got was they were working on the schedule. After a few more phone calls from my part they finally made it ( 2 weeks late without an apology or even a phone call from anybody) After all that waiting they did a terrible job on the installation. They did not do what I requested them to do which was to make sure the fence facing the street was strait ( label) on top. It took them almost 2 months to replace a little over 50 feet of cedar wood privacy fence and part of it still not right. NEVER EVER. read more
