Since then right away Covid 19 pandemic started, and when everybody was scared by Corona, he tried to shake hand with me but I did not, and I think he did not encourage mask in office and therefore office people also did not have, and during office visit he proposed to remove my mask. He did not give us prescription for mail order store even I asked two times because already a store near by my home was recorded in his file, and I had to pay much more higher price for the pills. Worst matter is next. He participated in my insurance company, but he belong to RWJ BH which did not participate (inconsistent) and much higher bill came from RWJ BH each time of visit and I had to discuss RWJ HB with this inconsistent bill for every time of visit and that caused loss of my many hours. Since I was lucky because I was able to find the reasons of much higher bill, and I did not have to pay after discussion for every visit, but there should be many people who may have paid large amount of money without knowing details. Who will get this extra money? I think, either of RWJ or Dr Tsarouhas have got.

Since doctors are typically super busy and hard to track down or see, their nurses are the ones to face patients most of the time. Lauren is very dedicated to her work and considerate of her patients. She always encourages patients and their family care givers to call her or the office whenever they have any questions, and she always returns calls timely. She is kind-hearted and listens to her patients' worries and concerns. She makes every effort to make sure to communicate patients' questions to the doctors she works with for answers and solutions. I can't say enough thanks to Lauren! On a separate note, the nurses in the infusion room are all wonderful, so caring and competent that make the harsh treatment much less stressful for the patients and their families. They have a fancy building but don't have the staff to back it up. (in fairness, I am sure there are some good people there but I have never seen them in the ER) Worse, they are grossly overcharging patients. I definitely recommend everyone ask for all charges up front and make sure they are reasonable. I had them charge me $8000 for a test that should have cost $1500 if you look at average costs for the tests nationally. I was never told anything about this insane charge up front and would have went to a local radiology place if I was. When asked if they would negotiate it to something reasonable, I was told they won't negotiate their bills. They are what they are. I saw two doctors there. One was very good. Another one, I spent a year seeing and she came up with two diagnosis which I actually suggested to her and asked her to test for. She came up with nothing on her own but never refrained from charging me. Sad that such a beautiful hospital is so poorly run!
