And then when the other lady came to drill, there was still water in the tub and she dropped the the machine in the water while it was still going, while the drill was still on, and I could've got electrocuted. Obsessed! They had a variety of powder color selection to choose from, I chose the pink -412. I was in love with the color once it was set, as shown in picture. This place has hands down the best pedicures! The wait was long and the work was decent. My cuticles were cut 3 times and one of those cuts later got infected as it tried to grow back. One day I was on my way to my nail shop that I always go to get pedis and they were closed for some reason even though the hours of operation said otherwise. So I decided to drive down the street and found this gem. I had a great experience here! I got a short power set and pedicure for only $50, compared to $70 the last place I went. My nail techs were super sweet even though I was tense and fidgety the whole time. They don't speak great English but it wasn't a big impediment, and they were so kind, also masks on over their noses the whole time, except for on of them who was drinking water while walking around, not perfect but way better than I'm used to! The social distancing was great too, the chairs are spread out and there's acrylic shields on the desks. It was only about an hour and that flew by. The nail look great, no nicks or pain in the application, a few tiny bumps but overall smooth and definitely pretty. My pedicure looked great too but I walk funny so I smeared one of my toes on the way to the setting light thing. One of my techs was sweet enough to fix it for me but I did it again- my fault! This place is one of most affordable nail salon I have been to in Houston. I have been satisfied with most of my visits. They get a lot of traffic despite a lot of other nail salons in the area. There was a long wait once and I went to another nail salon across the street and regretted that decision for the next three weeks. I have had mixed results sometimes but they've always been willing to fix anything I didn't like. But don't judge a book by its cover. Hanna has been doing my pedicures for a few years now and more recently she started doing my colored powder overlay (this is the powder over my natural nails). I would drive from Katy to Stafford when I didn't get a good pedicure if I didn't have a good one on my side of town. I have these painful ingrown toe nails in the corner of both my big toes. Hanna does a good job getting them out without hurting me. I have a bad habit of not making an appointment so I usually have to wait because they stay steady during the week. I had been going to that nail shop for a while before I switched shops. I recently went in since it had been a while & because it's pretty close. I read the reviews but I had never had a bad experience there until last Friday! I won't say they're rude, but they're very short on conversation for sure! If it inconveniences them, they will tell they can't do the service. They're forever rushing or in a hurry so my gel polish didn't cure correctly & I hadn't noticed it until I drove off into the sunlight. I didn't even bother to go back, I knew it wouldn't have been a good outcome. I've witnessed this type of situation at this salon before. The lady who did my pedicure was sweet, but the polish was very chunky. Both ladies did either nip or file off past my cuticles. Doing this on my nail bed caused my nails to look super sloppy. I'm sad because I've never received service like that here! And I mean NEVER. Sad to say, nail services cost a little too much (not here in general) to waste money here. I got toenail fungus from going to this trashy place! NEVER, EVER will i EVER go there again. Worse service ever. I went today for a full-set and the nail tech did a terrible job. I don't know her name but she sits next to Lee. She began to add the acrylic and on some parts of the nails it was very little product. I didn't say anything, I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. So she begins to use the filing tool and she keeps cutting me and I told her multiple time please don't do it to close to my skin you're hurting me. I wish I would of taken a picture of my nails before they were "fixed". So she tells me to go wash my hands and that usually means that the nail session is coming to an end. I looked at my nails and I'm like what? My nails looked like bricks. They looked like they weren't filed at all. There was a chunk of acrylic under my thumb nail. So I stepped away and told her I'll just wait for someone else. My nails were not done. So the other nail tech that sits the closest to the mirror comes and she attempts to fix my nails. But she also cuts me. At this point I'm just over the session. I'm extremely unhappy and left no tip. I literally got my nails done today and they look so old. I'm extremely embarrassed. I got asked by a stranger if they could see my nails because they liked the color but the quality is disgusting. I want a full refund. And I couldn't have lee fix them because she wasn't there today. Service is great. They are very attentive and I'm in love with the quality! They takethere time & do it right but I'm still in and out in less than 2 hours! The only thing is that they only let you pay a maximum of $50 on a card. So if you are getting the works, BRING CASH- or they will point you to the ATM around the corner that charges a fee. The sign about the maximum is on the very back wall, so since I was referred here by a friend, I had no clue until my feet were in the water and I was already so committed that I had to ask my boyfriend to bring me $5 in cash to fulfill the bill the first time I came. I can understand that people in this area may fraud them with high dollar card transactions- I just hate that the general population that doesn't carry cash has to pay for it.
