Door to serenity was the only place that would take me after rehab I had gotten sober but I didn't know how to live I didn't have a dime just the clothes on my back everything that I needed was provided for me work opportunities transportation clothes everything I needed to get a new start on life . Today my life is amazing . No way could I have achieved any of this with out this place . You have to be on life 360 at all times or you will be kicked out. She also plays favorites. Most leave within a few months due to her strict rules. You will go to 2 meetings a day 7 days a week and you will be mandated to go to intensive out patient for 5 months. My opinion is that she's in it for the money and every client knows this. She had to address the money hungry issue several times in house meetings while I was there. She charges $800 a month plus what you have to pay for gas. I paid a full months rent at the beginning of a month and on the 6th she discharged me because she went through my medicine when I wasn't there and she wasn't happy that I split my dose up ( my doctor told me to do it that way), so she discharged me on the 7th. She absolutely refused to refund me for the 3 weeks I had paid for in advance. She is all about money. I've had to start a small claims lawsuit against her to hopefully get it back. if I had been anywhere else I would have gotten a refund. Most people there leave as soon as they can because of the owner. I give one star because the staff are good for the most part. There's so much more I could say but I'll leave it at that. Do yourself a favor and steer clear from there. Find you a good Oxford house.

Wasted half my day and threw off my plans for the day, all because I couldn't swim during the time that the website calendar and the printout in the lobby that I have a picture of says the pool is open for swimming. I showed up and the swim team was using the pool, but it's not listed on their website or on the printout. They don't provide accurate printouts either.
