Always busy, but very efficient and effective, doesn't talk much, but gets things done to the customers extreme satisfaction, providing excellent service and unbeatable prices! I have known Victor and been receiving GREAT haircuts from him for nearly a decade now! Scheduling an appointment for next-day is always a breeze, Victor is always warm and pleasant. The quick experience my son and I had was completely different from the rest of the reviews I have read about this place, not a very pleasant one at that. My son and I did not feel welcomed at this facility and this is why : Yesterday Sunday 01/08/16 at around 2:55pm my son and I (long time residents of Tujunga were looking for a place to get his haircut , I had driven by many of times on Foothill and seen V Design and thought "oh I should bring my son there for a cut soon" ...so yesterday we walk in see an older woman sitting by the window and a man standing over giving another man a cut and no one else just them 3, as we are standing there there was no "hi", "hello", "how can we help you?" but just blank stares and I said hello and asked if my son could have his hair cut and the woman and the man looked at each other and glanced at me again with a blank stare and the man responded " we don't have time for you " I said " oh are you about to close?" and the only response I got once more was "WE DON'T HAVE TIME FOR YOU." nothing more. My son is 16 yrs old and quickly caught on and said mom let's just leave so we walked out , in the car he said to me what I had just been trying to grasp in my head which was that this man refused our business because of our race yes I said it our race.... latinos!!! as we drove away I told my son that we would find a place to get it cut but that we would drive back to the place and see if it was busy or closed because maybe we were just imagining things but we wanted to make sure, fast forward we drove back about 45 minutes later and low and behold the place is brightly lit OPEN sign still on and bright and guess what it was completely EMPTY of customers !! no patrons inside waiting or getting their hair done, the only souls in the establishment were the older woman leaning on the counter day dreaming due to boredom and the man who I hope wasn't the owner but probably was just sitting there looking out the window. I am not one to look at race or color and have never disrespected anyone because of it, I have many friends who are of different race and what we experience yesterday from this establishment was really hurtful and disrespectful especially because my son experienced it alongside of me which personally no child should have to experience at any given time, all we wanted was a quick haircut before going back to school but were turned down because our business/money was not welcome at V DESIGNS....to management or owner of V Designs if you don't want the business or money of any other race other than yours please be so kind as to set up signs up on your door or windows that no other race is welcome other than yours into your establishment it would be greatly helpful and informative as to what kind of business you're running in a very diverse community such as the TUJUNGA/SUNLAND area. Now with that said this only brings much credibility to my review as your business hours on Sundays are noted as CLOSING TIME BEING 8:00PM and we were there at 2:55pm during which clearly you were not even close to your closing time, by the way the Sunland/Tujunga Chamber of commerce has been sent a copy of my review about your establishment. read more

I tried this place for the first time because I couldn't schedule with my regular hair dresser and I am going to come back for sure. The service I got was instant and my hair cut and color very good and it is right near my home. Additionally, the price is great! This salon is super clean and I felt very welcome. I'v been coming here for about 2 years now. I have so much faith in him! He does a great job of cutting my hair and takes his time. Never gets "scissor happy". I always had issues with hairstylist leaving my hair too short but he makes sure to cut off exactly the length I want. He always has the salon super organized and clean. I'm also not an older women for what its worth. I feel like small places like this are not often visited by younger people but I'm 18 and I'm so glad I found this place. Also, he is very reasonable when it comes to his pricing which is a huge plus! read more

I keep my hair kind of long and few stylists can manage long hair styles on men, but Vic is terrific and always "Gets-it" when you ask for a particular cut. His location is on main st. Sunland. It's a new building and has all the hair products you can imagine. Great! read more

I went to this place, originally when I walked in the hairdresser (Vic) was not that friendly, however, I thought it is close to home and the salon looked nice and clean. so I came back to get highlights. Note: I think I was his only customer that day. I did not see a soul coming in. The job, was okay. My mom needed a haircut, she has very short hair so I told her about this place. We went in and Vic was not there, but as usual I did not see anyone there. My mom started to look at magazines when he came out d I said "hi! my mom would like to get a haircut" He immediately started pointing at us with his finger to the door and told us 'NO NO, YOU NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FIRST" he was so unfriendly and outputting the way he was looking at us. Very nasty way in talking to us. I would never in a million years come back here. He was so incredibly rude and dismissive that i hope i never run into him in my town.
