I needed a quick eye brow fix one day and found this place. I made an appointment,showed up on time and I waited for 5 minutes. It didn't matter. Tell you what,I am no Prima Donna. The ladies here were friendly. I thought she was going to do the threading but she waxed them. Anyway,my eye brows turned from caveman to a cave woman's. I am 100% satisfied. I was happy the first time I went in but my second time Kara dyed my hair...... I noticed hours later I had grays in my roots . When I washed my hair it was as in bad condition for me the dye job. This hairdresser is a real gem, I'm so glad I've found her. For many years I had a great colorist who expensively had maintained my blonde woven hair color. But since I had moved to this area I have been extremely unhappy with the hair color that the local salon here performed on my hair. Had in fact given up on finding anyone close by who can tone weave and highlight like what I've been used to. That was Before I found Klara! I came in with roots growing in and gray hair all over and she understood right away how to color match the right toner, and which light blonde highlight color would make it just a gorgeous blend and just perfect. She's a really sweet warm person and I can't wait to see her again for the next time. She colors fantastically. Finally found a person who cuts my hair the way I request it. Normally, I get someone who needs too much instruction and then doesn't get what I said anyway. The other type of stylist listens attentively, shows clear understanding of my request and then goes off and does whatever they want regardless of what I said. I want some areas left long and others trimmed, not cut. Why is that so hard to comprehend? So far, that concept has eluded most stylists who just want everything to be the same length because that is what they learned. First time in her shop, Klara gets it right. She made me feel like one of her regular clients although I have only been in there for the first time. He has recently found a hair salon near his house who he says upon walking in he notice how clean the hair salon is unlike the other hair salons in tujunga area...and he says how affordable it at only $10.. Since he likes his hair pretty short he always has to go every 2 weeks so at only $10 he can afford it and it looks amazing.. This is my go to place to get a hair cut. Klara is is always friendly and does a great job. I don't have a thick head of hair and she knows how to cut it perfectly. I have been to other places in the neighborhood and they cut it too short which makes me look like a balding man. These other places tend to take out the clippers and wack away. We all know finding somebody to actually listen when you say "cut only 3 inches" is so hard when getting your haircut, well we actually found somebody who listened to everything we asked for. I went with my younger sister to cut, color, and blow dry her hair and we definitely crossed our fingers because it is our first time here. My sister has really curly hair and has had the most horrible experience with her Ombré before and had paid nearly $300 for nothing but disappointment. Klara is the sweetest person and will ask you if you are okay with every step. She literally stopped and explained everything she was doing before doing it. She explained the colors and made sure it was what my sister wanted and didn't just assume. We came in with a vision and left extremely satisfied. We were given Armenian coffee and this amazing bread as we were there for a few hours and their customer service made us feel very welcome and we had many good laughs in between. My sister has paid DOUBLE of what she paid today and has been so disappointed with high end salons in the past. This change was worth every penny.
