That said, two of us had the salad and shared a cheese plate and were overstuffed. The cheese plate had 4 types of cheese and 6 types of meat, all delicious. The salad was filled with artichokes and sun dried tomatoes, and zucchini, and more. There were at least 15 things to choose from on the menu. Staff were limited to 2 so they were very busy. Our waitress spoke excellent English, was incredibly attentive given her table load, and was helpful and thoughtful. Her professionalism adds a star to my score.

I've been wanting to sample wines from the region but haven't made it to a wine tour. This place has self serve wine pours on tap. Coolest thing ever! You put a card in the machine then select your wine and size of pour (pours range from around .90-2€ for the smallest taste and 4.80 - 7ish€ for a full pour). They also have some aperitifs. I got to sample 5 wines and loved it! Some I liked more than others, but that's the fun of it! If you love the bottle you can buy it right there and drink it or take it home. Staff is super friendly and the outdoor seating area is great! Definitely stop by if you're into wines (and if you and you're partner can't agree on red or white :P)

We went to Glouglou twice during our stay in Montpellier and each time we got different cheeses. The first time it was amazing. The second time was ok, but not phenomenal. Although the menu was limited at this hour ("You like boeuf, no?"), the execution was superb. Much to our delight, we were presented with two exquisitely prepared filets of beef, cooked rare with a red wine sauce. Trés bon! After desert, the server delivered to our table two glasses and a bottle of liquor filled with some kind of clear spirit and various fruits (it reminded me of moonshine). The server just left the bottle and beckoned us to help ourselves--and there was no charge for it on our bill at the end of the meal either. Throughout the evening, we felt 100% at home and at ease, as if the entire restaurant existed just to serve us. The restaurant was filled entirely with what looked like locals, without a word of English spoken (except by us of course). It was a magical night, and we highly recommend it!
