Why not letting them sit where they want when they are only staying for a quick (5 minutes?) beer? Especially when you are with a handicapped person. Service is lame. Drinks prices are good. Beer is good. Food is "meh", less than mediocre. This place offers a nice setting, but I wouldn't recommend. Go next door, better service, friendly patrons, fun bartenders, good tapas.

This bar exists in practically every one of my greatest memories from my time in Montpellier... I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. I'll say good. The bar is big enough, lots of seating and usually gets pretty rowdy as the night continues. There's always a great crowd of regulars that hang out and the staff are amazing. They're all super friendly, English and French speaking and they love their customers. I never, ever had a bad time at O'Carolan's. If you ever find yourself in Montpellier, France (which you should since it's the most beautiful city in the entire country), go to O'Carolan's. The atmosphere is always welcoming and the crowds are always gregarious and fun. Oh, and they have a pretty kick-ass St. Paddy's day celebration, which spills out onto the street outside the bar.
