For lunchtime their home cooked meals feature whole wheat and also locally grown from Washington products which is important. As I walk through the hallway I also noticed they have a bottle of the water feature for the kids to use it's actually filtered never seen this in my life. There is a really interesting history to the creation of the Center that you can hear about…read moredirectly from the staff. They have a large meeting space that is affordable to rent. The space has a small library, a small sitting area to show films, and there are a few items like tshirts & cards you can buy that are related to peaceful human rights activists. This is not the museum, you have to go right next door for that. Unfortunately the actual museum has limited hours in the winter and is open much later. This education center opened at 9am and had very friendly staff willing to talk about the Center. They gave us helpful info to possibly use their space for an upcoming mtg. It is worth checking out.

If you are looking for a party campus you are not going to find alot here. That being said if you want to go to some parties you can seek them out if you want to. Though the school does have Christian values and I would say is a Christian school it does not try and force it on its students which I appreciate. If you want to seek the Christian religion you can if you don't most people will respect you and treat you the same. No chapel Is required, but there are various Christian events throughout the week. You do have to take one Bible class here if you want to graduate. The teaching is excellent though sometimes you get a bad professor or one that you just don't click with. But I feel like it is that way with most schools. The professors try to make themselves available to you. And genuinely want to help you. They are professors first and not just researchers which means they will actually teach. Never in my classes have I had a TA teach the whole class.Whitworth also has this thing called Jan term where you take 1 class over the month of January. This is a great way to get Gen Eds out of the way. Student life is good. Most RAs are not out to get you in trouble and actually want to have a relationship with you. The University adheres to the Big 3 (which are the main rules) no alcohol or drugs, no cohabitation, and no disturbing the peace. If you follow these rules you should be ok. And if you want to do theese things just do them off campus. The nicer resident halls are Oliver, Duvall, and Boppell. The other ones are older, but still have great communities. Really it is you who can make or break your experience. Finally the campus is most beautiful in early fall and late spring. (When school starts and when school ends) you will see people out and about in the loop, throwing a frisbee. In the winter it gets incredibly cold and snowy. If you don't like snow don' t go here. But the campus does turn into a nice winter wonderland from November to January. Overall this place has great academics and you get out what you put in. Also they tend to give great financial aid packages.

Their customer service is rude and seems to revel in telling you it was your own stupid fault. When I ask my student daily what was covered in class, I hear "cop stories" again and again. The state says you can only be absent a maximum of 3 times or you have to start over. Also, if you can't make a scheduled drive, you have to cancel at least 24 hours before, excluding non business days. If you don't, you have to pay $60 for the no-show. And, if you need to schedule a different drive after the initial round of scheduling, you might end up still doing the drives after the classroom course has completed. My kid can drive very well by the end of the 5 or 6 week course, and she's fully prepared to take her knowledge and skills test, even though she's not yet 15.5 years old! And I don't even feel like I've taken her out driving all that much - not the 2 hours a week that the school wanted. We will have months to get in our 50 hours for the state, and I know we'll surpass that. I'm very happy that we chose this school for drivers ed.
