We've had a really great experience with Spokane Valley Montessori…read more Before enrolling, we saw the older Yelp reviews and had the same concerns any parent would. It's worth calling out clearly that this is not the same school or leadership. The school closed and reopened under completely new ownership and administration. Our experience reflects the current team, not what's described in those older reviews. We have two kids enrolled. One started just after turning 2 and is now 3.5, and the other started just before 5 and is now 5.5. Both of them genuinely love going to school. There are plenty of days where pickup turns into a negotiation because they don't want to leave. The teachers are engaged and do a good job tailoring learning to each kid. Our older child is on track to be very well prepared for kindergarten, and our younger one is developing quickly across the board. From a safety and communication standpoint, we've had 0 concerns. Staff is attentive, administration is responsive, and we've never had any issues with how the school is run day to day. The community is also a plus. Good group of kids, normal and engaged parents, and an overall positive environment. Bottom line, if you're reading older reviews, just make sure you understand they reflect a different version of this school. Based on our experience with the current team, we would absolutely recommend it.

My daughter attended SVM for nearly nine months, and until recently, I genuinely loved our…read moreexperience there. Unfortunately, today's interaction completely changed my opinion. The school notified parents that it would be closing early due to the smoke and that all children needed to be picked up by 12:00 p.m. I had a work meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. that I could not miss. I immediately contacted the school, explained my situation, and let them know I was actively trying to find someone to pick up my daughter. I have no family in town and a very limited support system. Instead of being met with understanding, I was told by Alexa that if I wasn't there by 12:00 p.m., no one would be there to watch my daughter and it would be considered child abandonment. I have attached the messages so others can read the conversation for themselves. I completely understand that emergency closures are difficult for everyone, and I respect that staff have obligations too. What I cannot understand is threatening a parent who is communicating, being transparent, and actively working to solve the problem.

We observed children enjoying themselves and interacting playfully with teachers and other children. The center was clean and displayed artwork from many of the children. It was clear to me that this was a great place to bring our child. We've been very happy with our decision to work with Little Learner. Its been several weeks now and we have ZERO complaints. I'm glad that poor behavior is not tolerated and good behavior is rewarded. Positive reinforcement is a good thing. It seems to me that other reviews may be a little one-sided.

I am wildly enthusiastic about the Academy of Dance in the Spokane Valley. This is an authentic…read moredance studio with serious instructors, disciplined dancers and a healthy rapport amongst all dancers, parents, instructors and owner. The instructors are attentive to proper training and development to prevent injuries. In the 6+ years that I have been associated with this studio I have not seen any eating disorders or unhealthy practices. The performances are FULL productions at the beautiful Martin Woldston Fox theater. The Academy of Dance is also the home of the non-profit Spokane Youth Ballet. Dancers from the entire area are welcome to audition for the productions and performances at the FOX Theater. These productions are original choreography and never disappoint.

I walked in and asked for some information for my twins and they said they didn't have any but that I could make an appointment to do a walk through. They didn't smile and were speaking very monotone. While the building and place was beautiful, it's important to remember that your front staff are extremely important in setting a tone of the business. I did not do a walk through and went someplace else for my twins preschool.

To start off I have never known that kids could be dripped off at daycare and not cry when they go. My 2 year old granddaughter has never cried and willingly goes in on her own. I love getting photos or videos during the day through the app as well. Such a neat feature! They show what things they are working on so I can continue to ask and with her at home. They check the kids in at the door taking temperature and wearing a mask to keep things as safe as possible. All the teachers and leaders there seem happy and are so loving to the kids. You can tell they actually love kids and enjoy being there! No wonder my granddaughter loves to go. I love to go and interact with them as well! Jamie in particular is always so engaging and caring, always wearing a smile! She genuinely cares and listens. You just feel blessed to be around her even if it's for a short time. I'm not saying they are the only good school or that it will be the right fit for your circumstances. But, if you are researching options, they are definitely worth a look.
