For some unknown reason, the bill was returned to them as a "bad address." Who knows why! Chris is working with the billing department to get this removed from collections so it won't show up on my credit report. My only reason for not taking this up to a five star review, which I am happy to do when a company does the right thing, is their practice is to automatically send "bad addresses" to collection rather than calling the patient to see if what the error is. All of this mess could have been taken care of with a 2 minute call from their billing department, rather than what will turn into over an hours worth of their time to fix. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! They sent me to collections without ever sending me a bill!! Yesterday, I opened up my mail and found a letter dated 06/13/2016 from a collection agency. I have NEVER not paid a bill. My appointment with them was on 03/30/2016, my insurance generated the Explanation of Benefits 04/11/2016. The EARLIEST Charlottesville Radiology could have sent me a bill would have been 04/12/2016 with a likely due date of 05/12/2016. The thing is, I never received a bill from them, not to mention a past due notice or a simple phone call. Heck, by the time the collection agency sent me a letter it was hardly 60 days from the earliest date it would have been possible to bill me.

Understaffed, and long waits with no appointments - be warned. A 3.5 rounded down.

Dr. Matthew Reilley happens to be the only specialist in my rare condition and I was referred to him last summer due to fear of potential spread. He is the nicest doctor I've ever encountered of any specialty, genuinely. He celebrates wins with you and is willing to see you as a unique patient. Even his staff has amazing things to say about him. On my last visit, I accidentally drove to the hospital rather than the Pantops location, which resulted in arriving late to my appointment. I felt terrible about it, but they were all soooo absurdly nice and still let me be seen, which I know is NOT the norm in medical practices. Overall, hopefully Dr. Reilley will remain my oncologist for the long haul.

Dr. Reed and Rachel are responsive and communicate extremely well. I rarely ever wait for anything at this clinic. Rachel is an amazing nurse. She is extremely upbeat. She makes being treated for cancer a lot more bearable! I am highly recommending Dr. Reed to others in my MPN Support Groups. The entire team is amazing. From Jessica the scheduler, the intake nurse, Rachel, Kim, Caroline, and Dr. Reed. They are patient and I never feel rushed. I know if I wait a couple minutes for Dr. Reed it is because he is giving another patient the exact same high level of care. I drive 3 hours each way every 2 weeks and would drive further to get to this team. Dr. Reed answers every question, checks back to ensure I understand everything he says. Rachel always comes in after and ensures I understand and walks me out. I can't ask for better or more compassionate care. Once I found this cancer center, A load was taken off my shoulders and placed on my medical team. My job is to fight cancer, they not only join me in that fight but I feel they are shouldering the responsibility and I have complete faith in them. I'm a doctor (not medical) and Dr. Reed and Rachel treat me as an educated person, allow me a seat at the table for my treatment planning, and I cannot ask for more. I feel empowered in my treatment planning, and I cannot ask for more. This is the second Cancer Center I have been to. Hands down, the experience is night and day. Thank you for all that the entire UVA Cancer Team does to provide top notch care to every patient. I truly feel like I am the only patient the team has and during my time there, it is 100% about me, not blood test numbers.

When a physician 's office has not sent in the lab request, the front desk here has managed to obtain it right away. I have several autoimmune issues and frequently have blood draws. For those complainers, perhaps you might extend a kind word and take reponsibitly to make sure your labs have been sent in correctly from your physician and ask them if there are special instructions.
