This review is solely based on their açai bowls. I would consider myself an açai bowl connoisseur as I love to try them everywhere I go. I've been coming to utopia for the last couple years and this is one of the few spots that I always enjoy coming to. I only get their very nutty acai bowl that brings homemade almond butter and nuts on top. They used to layer the bottom and middle with their home made granola but now it's just the bottom. The granola is nice and crunchy which gives it a good texture. The acai itself has the texture and consistency that is similar to a sorbet but a bit thicker. I really enjoy this as other places have acai that is more liquidy or similar to a frozen yogurt. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking to get a good acai bowl. read more

Visited on a Friday afternoon, immediately upon entering I noticed a funky / earthy smell that was not pleasant IMO. Based off some of the reviews (prepackaged wraps and açaí bowls) I opted to get a smoothie. The smoothies options seem to a bit unique. The person that served me wasn't overly welcoming and she did not even crack a friendly smile at any point in time. After trying 3/4 of my smoothie I disposed it. My Açaí bowl had 3 strawberry slices that were unripe and even had the strawberry stem still on, with 6 blueberries placed on top of a mountain of ONLY açaí. the granola was placed at the very bottom. the fruit was gone in two bites leaving an tons of açaí i would have to finish before even reaching the granola. never going back, never recommending, highly disappointed read more

I really wanted to like this place so I gave it a second chance and now I can 100% say I will not be going back. The ladies behind the counter will barely acknowledge you, let alone speak to you. The order will also take 30 minutes for one smoothie and a bowl - mind you no one else is there so I understand if it was busy. I went to ask if the smoothie was almost done and she looked at me like I was crazy and said, what smoothie? With attitude. She then put my smoothie on the counter without saying anything or looking at me and it was warm. I'm assuming she forgot about it. I was gonna ask for her to remake it but I didn't have another 30 minutes. When I feel stupid for asking nicely about my order and I receive attitude and rudeness back, it makes me not want to go back to the establishment. I'm not allowed to redeem it, which makes no sense because if it is a mistake in the system, it even says it expired the day that I was going to buy it . why should I as a consumer be held responsible? I came here a couple weeks ago when I saw the coupon on Yelp a Friday night. It was kind of smelly, tbh lol (I'm sorry- it was like that dirty mop water kind of smell). I ordered inside and would have waited outside, but I felt bad because there was an open mic night and I was the only person in there. I felt kind of awkward and tried to show I was smiling through my mask at them, lol. I don't think Covid times are the time to have an open mic night, but it's a cool idea when things (people) calm down. The inside is very nice-looking. So I ordered a hummus wrap with no peppers and a water. The girl working at the counter was super sweet, but she forgot my water, and there was peppers on the wrap. This place is the most unorganized and inconsistent establishment; totally avoid it! If you go inside, prepare to wait 20 minutes for a juice. I started ordering online due to these outrageous wait times. Ordered yesterday and was giving a 30-minute pickup time. When I got there, the employee told me she had not even started making it, and had only one customer in there; this was 40 minutes after I placed my order. I told her to just cancel it as I had til drop someone at the airport and was not waiting around for another 20 minutes. Order was never cancelled/refunded and I had to call back hours later to insist they refund me. Today, again ordered online hoping yesterday was a fluke and decided to give them another chance. 40 minutes after placing my order and after getting confirmation email to pickup in thirty minutes, I arrive and a different employee says "oh sorry I haven't gotten to that yet". FORTY MINUTES after placing my order. Told her to cancel it, and left. As of me typing this 30 minutes later, still have not been refunded. Never again will I come here. I have been picking up food from here during the Coronavirus and has been good so far . The only thing I couldn't order from yelp today so I went through their website and order online . Good was ready when I came in . Their açaí Bowl are so good why we usually order from here. Their soups are good but I would recommend to ask to try it before buying because last time our chili wasn't good at all and I had to waste a larger one .. just to be safe . I have been going to Utopia since they have opened and I was shocked when I went in and ordered my usual. (Med Cacao Bowl) and saw a $20.24. I thought $17.00 was reasonable but when I saw on the receipt that there was a SERVICE FEE/WELLNESS CHARGE of %15.00 (an additional $2.49) and nothing posted on the door. Something like "a standard gratuity of %15.00 will be added to every order" "Florida Code 509.214 Notification of automatic gratuity charge.--Every public food service establishment which includes an automatic gratuity or service charge in the price of the meal shall include on the food menu and on the face of the bill provided to the customer notice that an automatic gratuity is included". In this case it was not posted on the menu or at the door when you entered. I was told by the young lady that was working that it was a gratuity. I can go across the street and eat lunch for that. In addition to their acai bowls, Utopia offers variety of smoothies, fresh juices, and plenty for those who are on a keto kick. I just tried their lemonade for the first time and let me tell you, completely worth the $6 I paid for it. So yummy and thirst quenching!!
