Hiring Aaren and her team was hands-down the best thing I ever did! I knew when I got engaged that…read moreI needed someone to help with the little details since I knew there would be a lot of them. I met with Aaren about a year before my wedding date and during our first meeting I really think we hit it off just right. I felt like I was talking to someone who truly "got me". I think Aaren knew that I was a Type-A (OCD) bride and she was able to calm my nerves. During our meeting she explained to me the different packages they offered. I knew I wanted a day before/day of person, but I also liked the idea of having someone help out during the month off for all of the other things. I wanted to do all the planning, but I needed someone to do the implementation. It was a done deal. I left that meeting and I knew I needed Aaren in my life! Soon after our first meeting I called her to confirm and sign a contract! It was a huge relief for me to know that I had Aaren. She made me feel at ease. Throughout the process I e-mailed her questions about etiquette and I kept her up-to-date with other vendors. I knew she was keeping a folder so whenever I had an update I would send it her way. I would like to think I wasn't a needy bride, but I know there were times when I started panicking for no reason. Aaren always calmed me down. By the week of my wedding I had a ton of items and decorations to drop off with her. I met her in her office and talked through my "vision" and provided her all the items she needed. She also had all my other vendor information and told me she would be in contact with them for the timeline of the event. I did not need to worry about anything! Honestly, it felt great to not have to worry about anything. I think I did a good job of just letting things go. Aaren and 2 assistants arrived for the rehearsal and had all the details confirmed for the next day. By the day of the wedding I was actually very "chill" since I knew Aaren and her team would make sure the ceremony and reception were set up correctly. She was my point person for the day and did an awesome job at handling all the day of things. By the time I made it to my reception the everything was set up just as I had hoped. Aaren really did listen to me and she made sure everything was just right. I knew I could trust her to get things done right. Again, as a type-A person it was hard to let go, but Aaren was the best person for me to trust. I didn't even worry about anything. There were a few minor issues that came up throughout the day, but with her help no one knew anything! It was flawless and my wedding was everything I had ever imagined it would be. Thanks to Aaren and her team for all of their help and assistance to help make my wedding day magical.

Appetizers were already displayed on each table as a tiered centerpiece which was a creative idea due to covid. Our apps were a Crispy Buffalo Chicken ball, Potato Puff and a Pastry bite with cheese, spinach and sundries tomato. Oh my goodness all 3 of these were amazing! The pastry puff was my absolute favorite and I could have made my meal just the apps. Salad next, very tasty dressing. It seemed to be a creamy Italian and it wasn't too tart. Salad was just the right serving size. Meal.. chicken milanese, roasted garlic mashed potato and vegetables. The mash were seasoned to perfection and the chicken had the perfect amount of sauce. Food came out hot too, which was a pleasant surprise. Reason for the 4 instead of 5, the dessert fell short as it was waaaayyyy too sweet for my taste and with the tea there was no Equal or Splenda and the sugar available didn't dissolve. Lol. Otherwise, I definitely recommend this caterer!

I had a few ideas of which food I wanted based on their catering menu, but Dan made some great suggestions that I had not thought of. Additionally, he covered all the details that our event venue didn't even mention to me. For example, he asked how I would be playing music and I had no idea. He told me the options provided by the venue and recommended types of music that would be good for this type of event. Note that the venue I used was not associated with his catering company - he was just being nice and helpful. He was also very easy to get in contact with. I have definitely worked with other event-related services that are hard to reach and it is a nightmare, so consider this important aspect if you need your event to go well! The planning aspect of it all went so smoothly and I could not have done it without his help. The evening of the event, caterers were already hard at work by the time I got there. They had set everything up - buffet tables, tablecloths throughout venue, bar with bartender, etc... All I had to do was connect my phone to the Bluetooth for music and start greeting guests when they came in. They seriously made it so easy and I feel like that isn't even their job. Each staff member was friendly and helpful. I could ask them anything and they'd gladly help me find the answer. Not only that, but the FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!!! I wish I had taken pictures but I was too busy with hosting. Everyone I talked to at the event raved about the food choices. We had the following items in the buffet: -Salmon with Ginger Soy Glaze -Stuffed Chicken Breast (Herb Cheese with Balsamic Drizzle) -Broccoli Pancotto -Vegan Summer Pasta -Vegan House Salad -Fresh Breads with Butter -Dessert: Cake Shots -Drinks: Soda, Water, Beer, and Wine In summary, I would strongly recommend Hendri's for anyone who needs a catering service! They fulfill all of the top requirements for an important event, in my opinion - smooth planning process, excellent service before and during event, and delicious food.

The place was set up beautifully. It was very professionally run. The food was top notch, really really good. They actually handled everything perfectly. My only complaint of that the food servers put the good away too quickly. None of the guest were given the opportunity to go up for seconds although there was a ton of food left over. It stated in the contract that food cannot be removed from the premises and that's was fine with me but I would expect my guest to be able to get what was there instead of it being packed away so quickly. Some of my guest left and went and picked up a burger because they were still hungry. There were several guest that did not make the event which means there was more than enough for some folks to get seconds. I'm not sure what happened to the food that was left over but it was a significant amount. My nephew actually did ask for s couple of played to go and was given what he asked for but I'm my opinion the servers should have allowed a little more time for people to eat their fill. I would definitely use them again but I would make sure there would be a better understanding about the serving of the food.

Because our guests had a lot of food issues - gluten, nut and dairy it was a real challenge! Stephanie carefully curated a menu that hit all of our requirements. In addition, because we live out of town for most of the year, our decorations, holiday plates and whatnot were quite limited. Stephanie put my fears to rest by assuring me she'd take care of all the details. As the day of the party dawned, we had the place all cleaned up and ready. Stephanie and Mary arrived about an hour before the guests and set to work transforming our little place into a festive, inviting party spot. We had holiday cocktails and mocktails, delicious heavy appetizers and desserts that were out of this world. Stephanie literally thought of everything. All the food was labeled so our guests could choose foods that were best for their food sensitivities. At the end of the party they gathered everything up, helped set aside uneaten food for later consumption and left with very little for us to other than sweep the floor and fall into bed after a very fun and satisfying gathering of friends. I am in the beginning stages of planning my sister's baby shower. The time to print and buy shower invitations is now upon me. Also, I've been the to sushi place next door a few times at night and always admire the gigantic giraffe in the window. I stopped in yesterday with my boyfriend to check out and get a price on the giraffe (baby present, hello!) and see what kind of invite printing/customization they offer. The employees were sitting in the back, talking to another customer about an order she had placed. There is a bell, and the place is not that big; they clearly saw and heard us walk in. We were given a quick glance, and that was it. We walked around for five or ten minutes, looking at the invitations and small children's toys/gifts that they had. We even were obviously looking at the giraffe and trying to look for a price tag! Still, no one said a single word to us or gave us a second glance. We left without making a purchase, and I will NOT be returning. It's a shame, because they had several invites that I liked and obviously the giraffe I wanted to buy.
