How do I start this without saying integrity! I've had issues with my basement walls do to lower elevation. I thought a sump pump would fix my problem. During heavy rains I noticed that even my walls were cracking and water was dripping through. that's where the water was coming from. I had no idea that my foundation has these issues. I called Utech and I was greeted by the most handsome man with a firm handshake i value that in a man. They fixed my entire basement and never had had a problem since. God Bless. I am unhappy about (some of; hence the 3 stars) the recent work done by Utech Waterproofing. Utech's estimates were poorly done; the foreman/Project Manager was aggressive and rude; and Utech unnecessarily took out an old laundry tub and replaced it with a new one that doesn't work. (In addition, Utech workers also broke wooden shelving when they moved it; left the basement floor dirty despite saying they'd clean it; left a sizeable patch of concrete on the front lawn, etc.) Utech charged me $850 to install a new, plastic laundry tub. Even though the old concrete tub we had worked just fine, which I pointed out, Utech insisted that they remove and replace it. When Utech finished their work at our house on Aug. 11, I was told the new tub was working, but it backed up the first time I used the washer and took all day to fully drain. When the foreman came back to discuss the malfunctioning tub with me, he angrily denied that the tub drainage was their problem and told me to contact a plumber. (We have had to wash our clothes at a laundromat in the meantime.) I hired a new plumber, who explained that the existing laundry pump wouldn't work with the new tub and plastic lines. The new drain line installed by Utech is oversized for the discharge line. Hazlett Plumbing has given me an estimate of $1,075 to install a new pump and a new discharge line that matches the new line feeding the tub. As noted, I am not happy with Utech's work as well as their response to my concerns, and want a refund for the amount I need to fix the tub plumbing problem. read more

My daughter paid them to fix a leak in the basement. They didn't do it right and water came in and got everything soaked. Took them a month to come back out. Now they made a bigger hole and the basement is flooded and they are telling her another 2 weeks. Absolutely unacceptable unless they are going to replace the entire contents of the basement, including appliances. They aren't answering calls. 0 is what they deserve. read more

Called for repair of base ment crack in foundation. Prompt estimate,neat and courteous manner..thoroughly explained what was involved. Returned 2 days later to check drain tiles, do repair and clean up. Lifetime warranty is awesome. 2 neighbors also used their service and were quite pleased with service and quote. read more

Utech might be a great company who does fabulous work....if you can get them to either answer their online request for estimate form or return a message. I tried both. If this is how responsive they are to come give an estimate, I think I will move on. read more

Boy, they say their work is guaranteed. Not so. We had them down to fix a leak in December. We went away for the winter. When we came home, it was still leaking. Called them. They game out and looked at it. They said they'd get back to us. After several days of calling them, we finally were told it's a different leak. It's in the same spot the first leak was! Horrible work and very rude! They had to come out to my place three times to correct the work they completed. The third time I was told that would be their last time coming and the guy was very rude. I'm sorry that the work was not completed correctly the first two times and needed to be corrected. Every worker (except the last guy who I believe was the project manager) who came over to check out the work agreed that it was not done correctly. When the project manager was there, I was told he did not even want to be there, and after he left he refused to come back. I totally agreed with him, and let me know if there were any further issues I would follow up with a business who knows what they're doing. read more

Zero stars would be better with the way they ripped me off. Say they were going to lay a certain amount of drain tile and only do half the job but charge you for doing the whole job. Confront them about it they deny everything and make you feel like the idiot, even when you have pictures to show they didn't do the full job. Unbelievable how they can rip people off like this.
