It makes me so sad to see 1 star reviews for Dr. Geeb because she is literally the most thorough doctor I have ever met; I'm not an expert on doctors but I've met and been patients of enough doctors to be able to form and be confident in my option.
If you read the terrible reviews neither of them speak to the action of her actual job of caring for patients - they're bad reviews due to time restraints. I fully understand that waiting for anyone, especially in this day in age is completely unheard of. Most people can't stand to wait in line at the grocery store or stay on hold with a customer service rep for more than 10 minutes. In that respect, I feel your pain... Dr. Geeb's 1 flaw as a doctor (I'm sure she has more in her personal life, but I only know her professionally) - is probably that her time management skills are terrible. Heaven forbid you find a doctor who wants to sit with you and talk to you and find out about your entire medical history. Heaven forbid you find a doctor who starts from your head and works their way down to your feet - from asking if you're experiencing headaches to numbness in your toes and everything in between!
If you're a busy person, sadly Dr. Geeb is not for you - she tends to take 5000% the amount of time that most doctors do. She sits with you to listen to your ailments and she takes time to solve each and everyone one of them and because of that, her appointments tend to take hours; which understandably sucks if you don't have that kind of time to spare or very little patience. Personally, if you think something is truly wrong with you, make that kind of time - otherwise if you just want someone to sign off on something quickly - see someone else!
Dr. Geeb isn't your typical assembly line doctor who will churn patients out. She doesn't just give you prescriptions after 45 seconds of being in the same room. She takes her time, she tries to solve your health problems the correct way, by asking for tests and taking samples. She wants to make you better by attempting to find out what is the cause not just what will numb it and make you go away.
Dr. Geeb. She is literally the first person in the office; I've seen her as early as 7:30am, mind you the office doors say opens at 8 and she's called me as late as past 9pm to discuss test results (office doors state 6pm closing time). At first that was weird to me, but in reality, I didn't have to answer my phone, I'm sure she would have left me a message. In truth, I appreciate a doctor who I saw at 7:30am still thinking of me at 9pm; I would hope most people would.
There aren't enough words to describe how much I appreciate Dr. Geeb. As much As I'd like to share my personal stories of visits with her, my medical history is not for yelp readers to read about. All I can said is: If you're looking for a doctor who will truly try to help you - she's worth the wait! However, if you are busy and have little to no free time, she's not the doctor for you.
As a final point, I'd like to say that there's nothing wrong with being busy and having little to no time to spare for waiting around - all I'm saying is... don't base your opinion and reviews on circumstances that are actually a good thing. "I waited hours to see this doctor" isn't a terrible thing if you consider the reason being because she was helping other patients. If you waited hours because the doctor was out shopping or lunching, then I get it - by all means, 1-star the hell out of them all day long but when you 1-star someone who works harder for her patients than most, comes in earlier and stays later and barely takes a break... be fair, review based on the skill of people not the amount of your time it took to see them. Literally that's like giving someone a 5-star review because they saw you immediately but didn't fix you correctly. read more
