The shopping ranges from big box stores to more luxury brands and everything in between. Parking is plentiful (thank you, Lord!), which is so often an afterthought in places like this.

The unit was somewhat remodeled in the bathroom with a new shower and sink. Much of it hadn't been updated for a while though, but that's fine. The only part I didn't like was the bed. It folds out of the wall, which isn't the problem, but the mattress left a lot to be desired because it was way too firm. Kind of like sleeping on the floor on some blankets. They did provide soaps in the bathroom, which was a nice idea but the body wash had really odd odor and I wasn't comfortable to even try using it. Overall it was a decent experience but some minor things could be changed such as those mentioned.

As an added bonus - no snow boarders! Restaurants are really good, too. This year, they added 10 lifts and gondolas, 100 runs and double the terrain. But the snow this week was better on the traditional ones. You can check your gear overnight for $20 either in a multiple day locker or basket check. Finishing 6th day here. Love this place!

As a skier of over 50 years I just want to tip my hat to the quality of the ski experience that has been created week after week and all hours of the day and night by the snowmaking and grooming crew. It is obvious you have tried to provide the best possible ski experience at Sundance. I don't know how all of you have pulled this off but honestly after skiing other mountains I still think that the runs that are open at Sundance are of remarkably good quality even with an 18" base! As soon as my family stepped into the resort, we were met by warm and kind people. Beginning at the front desk, there was complimentary teas and coffee that is offered. They will give you a pamphlet containing a map and all kinds of activities that you can explore at the resort. I appreciated the high quality paper material that this pamphlet was made of. Activities that we highly recommend you do not miss: the hot springs, morning yoga, skiing/snowboarding, hiking, and Sunday Brunch (especially if you are able to apply any resort credit to this). We appreciated the privileges and accesses that were offered for lodging guests. My family and I had booked this place with the points we received through a credit card. We were able to receive an upgrade for our stay due to this - so if you also have a travel package that can allow for this, please be sure to ask! Whatever help we needed whether it be in getting another bathroom robe or a ride to the ski school, the people here sincerely helped us without ever making us feel like a burden. I really want to acknowledge and thank all those who have contributed to making the magic happen here for our family to have a good time. The character of the people here is shown when they shovel the bunny hills for the kids and families. A wonderful place, we hope to be back again. Thank you all for our stay!

Very little notice in having to move entire apartment rooms just as school was getting out. Rent raised for "renovations" which included very uncomfortable couches, the removing of carpet, and grimy cabinets which made the whole apartment feel uncomfortable and tacky. Harsh parking enforcement. Zero incentive or help in having to move multiple times for WC's renovations. The leasing office is not helpful and manager will not work with you. Been misinformed on multiple occasions by staff. They throw activities and parties with absurd budgets and then demand you every dollar. They take advantage of students which is EXTREMELY frustrating and inappropriate. I recommend if money is not a problem for you and you want to be close to UVU or train station. I do not recommend to anyone else after freshman year.

We visited the Alta Lodge in August for a wedding and stayed there for several days. The Alta Lodge…read morefeels like a lodge experience from days of the past. There are no passenger elevators, so trekking up and down the stairs with luggage without being "climatized" to the altitude is a challenge. It should be noted the staff will assist you with your luggage if necessary. Regarding the location, it is fantastic. The views are incredible; it literally looks like a post card. Although not skiing season, there are lifts (not in operation due to summer) everywhere. I imagine it gets pretty packed and crazy during the winter. Hiking opportunities are everywhere right outside the lodge. We went on a "novice" hike that took us to the top of a mountain like eight miles away. OMG. As part of the wedding party and my officiant duties, there were multiple breakfast and dinners organized by Alta Lodge. The staff was fantastic, and the food was good. Alta Lodge also has a weekend brunch that attracts people from all over the area. The brunch was top notch! Regarding the accommodations, we had a fireplace, balcony, and a view of the mountains. It was a great sight. Our room did a have a bad smell (as did other rooms in our group) that I believe is the result of months/years of moisture in the carpet, drapes, and wood. This is the only thing I did not care for. Only other issue is the front desk is not occupied 24/7, and anyone can walk off the street and into the hotel. I would recommend better security. Overall, the customer service and quality of wedding organizer made up for the two issues noted above. Again, the service at Alta Lodge was excellent!
