Konnys bedside manner was horrible. The first question she asked when we went in is why we were there cause all they do is shots although the website shows multiple other treatment options. We went because we wanted to work with a professional on a severe spine issue but we were not shown or given professional treatment and we will not be returning. You are not able to see the doctor at all unless getting surgery and only able to work with the PA who seems to have no manner. You would think that you would have an option to work with others if one person doesn't work well with a patient but I guess they don't care enough about their reputation and patients for that. read more

I just can't stress enough how much of a lifesaver Dr. Weston has been!!! I've had several herniated discs throughout the years that have put me down HARD with sciatica and the most excruciating pain that I've ever experienced. Pain that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. To the point where I couldn't even get out of bed and walk 10 feet to the bathroom to pee. I felt like a 95 year old, decrepit grandpa about ready to kick the can. I knew I needed a epidural right away. Dr. Weston was so good to work with! He really knows his stuff!!! Each time within a couple of days I was back to normal, walking around and mowing the lawn, dirt biking, skydiving, and all of the normal stuff I'be always done. Wagner is nice but very subjective not understanding not really caring but at the same trying time trying to be nice about it sort of in a patronizing way kind a rude didn't even prescribe me someone to look at the photos of my brain that was also given to him no referral when they were asked for someone to look at that also he just brushed it off he's bad person. Spine Dr. Wagner urologist said he did not have nothing to do with the brain didn't even have no answer to give me a referral to see another doctor he said he didn't know that he doesn't know how to deal with the brain he doesn't why can't he just deleted that doctor also he doesn't care. It was also ordered by the Intermountain requested your mountain's way better place to go at least there they'll order you a doctor and a heart doctor that's what they wanted me to go to and for my brain and this doctor didn't not even care whatsoever because Intermountain is a private place that actually takes time but I don't have private insurance so what does that tell you what kind of doctor Dr. Wagner at the University worst he takes anybody they don't care about people that have medical cards they don't care about the less fortunate if they don't have money to put in his pocket more money you don't want them sort of people he's sort of an asshole read more

I made an appointment for pain from a neck fusion. They didn't even let me speak to a doctor. The nurse "Josh" refused to help me with any pain medication and referred me to another doctor in their office. Another co-pay and more office visit. He did give me a prescription for Diclofenac without asking me if there was a history of heart issues. Being in my sixty's , I researched Diclofenac. There are many studies that claim this drug is related to and can cause heart attacks. This pain clinic appears to me to be just a money maker for the doctors. With no help for the patients. I will be looking for another clinic that has better educated staff. Also, The nurse assistant had a disgusting nose-ring. That was a definite clue this office is not professional. read more

Went to Mountain Pain and Spine for help with a painful lower back and sciatica. I had several degenerated discs and faucets in my spine were crushing the nerves to my hip and lower leg. I had a consultation with Dr. Stevens PA and formulated a plan to fix the back and associated nerves that were being pinched. She said to try a spine injection and if that didn't help, we could talk about surgery for remedy to the disc and vertebrae problem. I agreed to the spinal injection and had the procedure done the end of June. Most of the pain was gone for 5-6 weeks but the pain returned almost over night, worse than it was before. I had another consultation the PA and she loaded me up with 270 Gabapentin pills enough for 21 days. She said that will help with the pain and get me feeling better. Well it didn't and I was having hard pain, 10 on the scale of 1-10. I couldn't sleep at night and I couldn't do any of my normal daily routines at home. I called my Family Doctor and got 5 days of pain pills, about 30 tablets, plus 3 days of muscle relaxers. None of the tablets put a dent in the pain. So I called Mountain Spine and Pain to see if the could prescribe me something to ease the pain. They said just keep taking the Gabapentin and it will help. So around 12 days taking the Gabapentin I was still in terrible pain so I called them again for help with the pain and they said they don't prescribe pain medication and accused me of abusing medications and was nothing but a doctor shopper looking for narcotics. I about fell off my chair when she told me that. I wont even hardly take an aspirin for a headache, and they accused me of being a addict. My wife called them to ask a few questions about the surgery and they told her we wouldn't be eligible for insurance and the insurance company wouldn't authorize getting the operation unless I went thru their 30 day PT and Pain clinic classes. Well we knew that didn't pass the smell test and we confirmed it through our insurance company. Yes they would pay for it because the MRI and X-rays showed a badly deteriorated spine. Then their office called and said Dr. Stevens didn't want me for a patient because I caused too much "drama" with the staff. Dr. Stevens didn't want me as a patient because my wife and I had caught them in a lie about the insurance not authorizing the surgery. Don't walk..Run from their big scam operation, they try to squeeze every dollar out of unsuspecting people that are in pain and willing to do anything they ask. read more

I've had two previous successful surgeries from Dr. Stevens and Dr. Weston with spinal injections. I'm impressed with their pain medication management. I have had nothing but unsatisfactory experiences with Mountain Pain & Spine. Firstly with the PA that didn't review my MRI with me or let me know that other tests were encouraged. Secondly, when I went to see Dr. Stevens, I waited for 48 minutes for my appointment then surgery was scheduled and when I didn't receive a call from the hospital called my insurance company and it had not even received a request for pre authorization. I called the office and they had the dates mixed up. I told them what my card said and all they could say was sorry for the confusion. I would not recommend this office to anyone. I was in a car accident and after months of chiropractic care was still not getting total relief and was referred to see Dr. Weston by my Dr in Tooele. Dr. Weston was awesome, quick, and as painless as these things can be. After the injection we talked for quite some time about the second amendment and firearms in general as we found we have similar interests, he recommended some other make and models of handgun for concealed carry. After a few months, I was ready to schedule an additional injection and also have one done on my shoulder, unrelated to the accident. I received a bill for the first injection. It would seem that there was an issue billing the car insurance. Instead of a call or just sending a bill the accounts payable lady wrote a lengthy note explaining that the auto insurance refused to pay and I needed to pay. Not really all that bad, just some confusion. But then she writes "You needed to give us your insurance, not the other person's insurance. That's how it works." Like I have tried to pull a fast one on them or something similar. The issue with insurance is I long ago used my no-fault $3,000 from my insurance. A simple call or if I received a bill and the "third party" insurance would be more than happy to pay, just like all the other thousands of dollars in continued medical expenses. I don't need a lawyer to handle such a simple case, I can take care of it myself no problem, if I just received a phone call or a bill, without smart ass remarks, this could have been cleared with my phone call to the insurance. I need further injections, I will not be using Canyon Ridge Pain and Spine, PC. I don't appreciate smartass scribbled notes over a simple insurance issue. BTW, 469.95, I carry more than that on my person, in cash, at all times. So let me explain to your accounts receivable lady. When you piss off a patient being a smart ass, they don't come back, THAT'S HOW IT WORKS. read more

So so disappointing! Dr Stevens should be ashamed of the PA he's hired. My wife went to get help with her back pain she has been having to see if they could offer help by doing something other than medication (ie injections, therapy, etc) and his PA proceeded to go on a 10 minute rant about the opioid epidemic and how my wife shouldn't be on any pain medicine. We didn't want medication nor did we bring it up, prior to him slipping into the tirade it was a normal appointment discussing viable options to give her pain relief. It was very uncomfortable and unnecessary, he clearly has no tact and zero interpersonal skills. My wife came in to get help (not medication) and ended up with an over the top lecture leaving in tears. He completely undermined the physician that referred us to him (and we will be letting them know). This PAs demeanor and character were reprehensible and would caution anyone not to go to this practice or Dr Stevens. If you're looking for a caring practice you should look into Utah Spine Care and see Karen Anderson and Dr Houden who I've had a wonderful experience with, they would never treat a patient like this. Shame on this practice and shame on Dr Stevens for allowing this behavior. read more

I am torn with my review. 5 stars for the Dr's and 1 Star for Jody that handles the medical claims. I have had great experiences with the Dr's and the Assistants but I will never go back because of Jody that handles the insurance claims. I have never met such an unprofessional person in the medical field. She called me 3 times in a 2 week period telling me that I had to pay $4,300 because my insurance hadn't paid yet even though the claim wasn't even past 30 days. She would also send me a statements with a bunch of her chicken scratch on it and the dollar amount never matched up. I just received a new statement that shows that the insurance paid the $4,300. But now the statement was showing I owed $84.00 but then Jody scratched it out and said that I now only owe $40.00. Please hire someone more professional that knows how to do there job. Because of her I have decided to go somewhere else for my back pain needs. The only other drawback I have with them is that you cannot make a payment online. read more

I made an appointment to see about back pain I had for several months. I was told I would see a P.A. which was fine. The appointment was very disappointing, after an exam which was pretty much bending, touching my knees I was told it was most likely a joint cap which happens a lot. I was not pleased. I was then told before any further testing I was told I could get an injection in my back to relieve the pain. I was checking out when the P.A. said we can do the injection right now and wanted to see what insurance I had. I said ok and went and got the injection from a doctor, who told me after he thought I had a back injury and not a joint problem. The shot DID NOT help, so I went to Salt Lake Orthopaedic Clinic and the doctor was horrified that they gave me an injection without an X-ray. He said that was NO doctor should give an injection without knowing exactly what is wrong. This was all about the insurance which they billed my insurance 2000.00 for something that did not work. read more
