I've been a patient at Integrated Wellness in South Jordan and in Bountiful collectively for almost 10 years. While I don't disagree with the other reviews about a sales aspect of some of the programs offered here, I have benefitted tremendously from a consistent program to address my concerns. A couple of experiences have made me a loyal patient. A few years ago I suddenly had excruciating low back and leg pain + numbness after a normal day of skiing. I was incapacitated, unable to walk, sit, stand, or lay flat to find pain relief. This went off and on for months. My orthopedist only offered gabapentin for nerve pain, but it treated the symptom, not the problem. After visiting the ER in the middle of the night with nothing to show for it but a $500 charge and a few pills for pain, I committed to a program of adjustments and physical therapy three days a week for several months at Integrated Wellness. This helped me rehabilitate and improve my strength in areas that were overcompensating and causing nerve pain. I also purchased a life changing Theragun and TENS unit. These weren't gimmicks. They saved me. Now I tell everyone I know to get these items for chronic pain and have purchased several for gifts. And I use them regularly. If you're active and want to remain so as you age, these are must-haves. Another experience just occured a few days ago. I woke up with vertigo causing extreme dizziness. Anybody sensitive to motion knows how miserable this is. I called Integrated Wellness on a Friday. They worked to get me in with Dr. Pyne for a chiropractic adjustment and Dr. Becky for some physical therapy before closing at noon. Dr. Pyne gives a fantastic adjusment and has saved me from misery more times than i can remember, and this time was no exception. Then, Dr. Becky took me through a treatment for Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo which occurs as a result of displaced otoconia, which are small crystals of calcium carbonate, that have detached from the inner ear and collect in the semicircular canals of the year. The treatment included a series of head movements that shift these particles back to the inner ears, alleviating the severe sensation of motion. Shockingly, the effect was immediate. Vertigo was gone. My weekend would proceed as planned. Honorable mention to PTA John who kept me laughing through the yacking. I was even offered a shot for nausea afterward to help with any lingering effects. Additionally, Dr. Becky walked me through a series of protocols that I can practice to build better tolerance to motion with the goal of enjoying some of my favorite activities without getting sick, every.single.time. I am constantly recommending Integrated Wellness to everyone who complains of pain. Go in with a clear objective and make decisions with your health care provider there. Be clear on what your insurance will cover and what you're willing or able to invest. To me, long term mobility and high quality of life are everything, and I'm lucky to have this exceptional resource right here in Bountiful. Bonus- Integrated Wellness has a massage therapy studio upstairs with some of the best therapists anywhere. They are well studied in the field of anatomy and physiology, and go beyond a basic feel good massage. And the prices are ridiculously reasonable. read more

Before making my review I read some of the negative reviews here and left shaking my head wondering if someone has an alternative agenda here because Integrated Pain Specialists of Bountiful has been a most happy accident. We'd been searching for solutions for chronic pain and stumbled across one of their ads and decided to seek their help. Undoubtedly, we couldn't have been more fortunate in stumbling into their care. From the beginning we saw that their goals meshed with ours in that we wanted solutions before seeking surgery. We've been delighted with their attention to details in investigating what the root causes of our pain were and how to best treat it. Managing and overcoming pain can be stressful and challenging, but their multi therapy approaches in addition to the genuine care of the clinicians and therapists have given us hope and helped us toward recovery and a more active lifestyle. The atmosphere they create in their office is engaging and uplifting which is therapy in of itself so that we look forward to meeting with them and not dread the experience. You can readily see that they are a cohesive team that is unified in providing genuine and thorough care. They are an incredible group of people and will be relentless in finding solutions to your pain. We feel you will be quick to see what we mean if you consider their help. Everyone here was nice and helpful. You're obviously there to be sold. They are trying to convince you to use their services, but they are not overly pushy or annoying. And as far as price, yes it's a lot up front, but if you look at the individual charges, they are all par with other providers. I've been to a lot of doctors for pain and they are more expensive than this, but insurance covers more of it. I was very impressed with all the medical professionals I worked with on the 2 visits I went to to decide if I wanted to sign a contract. The e-stim, theragun, and laser helped a lot, even though I own a theragun and a tens unit. I don't know if it was a laser that was the most helpful, or all of it together, or if the professionals just know how to use the products better and know the most effective spots to focus on. The lower rating is mostly for the chiropractor, and the way they insist you need everything they suggest to make it all work. I said I wasn't interested in chiropractic because my joints are loose and a physical therapist in the last warned me against them. But I tried it once before deciding if lll use them. It was kind of a joke. It was like my 5 year old pushing on me. Nothing happened. And he does the same thing to every patient, instead of tailoring things to your situation. I had had some manipulations with a past PT which helped, and they made me think it would be like that. But it was a standard adjustment. He pushed on my back a few times and cracked my neck and was done. All it did was put me in more pain. It's hard to tell if the PT are similar or have tailored programs because the few people who were there while I was weren't doing a lot. It's a good idea to have everything all in one place, but it needs to be more tailored, especially for people like me who are in constant moderate to severe pain and have been for over 6 years. I'm not in a rush to sign anything with them and only will consider it if I can pick and choose what I want to do. I am interested in some things and like how well the laser and such helped. But I'll never let that chiropractor touch me again and I'd have to test out the PT. read more

I should have read the reviews! While the beautiful office impresses you when you first walk in, don't let this fool you.   When is comes to "quality" customer service, I'm sorry, I couldn't find it anywhere in this office. What I will say is that the chiropractor conference they attended in Las Vegas on "How to Run a more Profitable Practice" is in full swing. This is what it felt like...Sit here, sign this, where is your credit card?   The worst part was the length of time the doctor spent trying to sell me shoe lifts inserts, an electric muscle stimulator, foam roll bar pads, foam blocks, and a muscle massager gun. No too mention the sketchy comments about insurance billing practices. It is as if this practice and or staff members are attempting to jump through hoops to meet a quota while their staged performances were distasteful. Back to acting school ! I gave the office three chances and on my third visit the doctor attempted to "scold" me about being respectful. (His staff or him, didn't like that I drew attention to a few minor mistakes) Sorry, if you cant get the easy stuff right, what mistakes are you making with my healthcare? Guys, in the business world and especially the medical industry, perfection should be the ultimate goal, and to be told that as a practice that mistakes would be made and I would have to accept this....huge red flag! I've gotten calls and texts from Integrated Wellness asking to remove my reviews. No. I won't. $600 for blood work that earned me a 1.5 hour lecture of how I need to get their 12 week program at a cool $4,500 with 2 hour supplement IV's with no real understanding of what that will do other than me having to get another blood test to 'see if it worked' --- no thanks. Full stop. I got through the blood work and got no answers. I took the blood work to another doctor and in a few minutes they said I need to watch my sugars and start working out. Avoid this place. They've had multiple complaints on billing. They keep flying under the radar somehow. They also have their employees write Facebook reviews to up their ranking. Terrible. read more

I made an appointment to see if they could help me with my Neuropathy. They were very courteous in doing a FULL exam of everything including x-rays and doing a touch sensation test on my feet. During the exam they asked me " What I was there for and what was my goal". I just wanted to see if they could help with my Neuropathy. Most of my second visit was reviewing x-rays of neck, back and knees along with a slide show of how all pieces of your body fit together. By working on all these issues it would help with the neuropathy. At the end the Case Manager presented the total care plan for 8 weeks: $8746.00, my out of pocket "Investment" $3800.00 When I said I would have to think about it the case manager again made a statement that made me feel guilty about selecting finances over my health. After a couple of more pointed questions then came the hard sell. At that point I could only thank them for their time and I left. This is in no way a reflection of them as individuals as I am sure they are very nice. This approach may work for others but not for me. read more

FIND A DIFFERENT CHIROPRACTOR. These guys sweet talk, use scare tactics, over promise, under deliver, utterly fail at patient follow-up, and treat you like a conveyor belt auto part once you're locked into one of their programs. The heavy front loaded crap they do and tell you at the beginning is all but forgotten by the end. Oh and if you get blood drawn or any other work, be ready for an inexperienced teenager to try several times before losing confidence. Not awesome quality in care. Oh and be prepared for periodic 10 page packets full of redundant questions to answer over every minute and non-related body function/movement. Sure, patient input is great when it's followed up with something, anything medically authoritative, or empirically sound, but that kind of follow up or customized care doesn't exist. The whole operation feels like a shill. I went here for 2 different injuries in 2 different places in my body, and received nearly the exact same care, conveyor belt adjustments and physical therapy managed by timid and inexperienced assistants, except for one, who was usually so busy because he seemed to be the only guy there anyone had confidence in. In both experiences, 6 years apart, I experienced a system-wide failure of vanishing follow-up. For every test, x-ray, interview, and consultation I got t the beginning, I received absolutely none of that at the end. The thing is, according to their policy, I should have. This is classic letting the patient off the hook once he's paid in full. It's a downright shame, and par for the course in this practice. read more

Made an appointment for a Saturday. Arrived while snowing to a note on the door explaining the therapist would open the door at my appointment time. Sat in the car waiting but then watched 2 men walk right in - apparently the door was open! Went into upstairs lobby (downstairs closed). No receptionist and no place to sit or check in. Therapist came out then sold a gift card to one gentleman and checked me in. Finally got back to the room almost 10 after hour before my service started. Therapist explained the owner didn't want to pay a receptionist on the weekends. I disagree with the owner - if business is open you need someone to greet clients while therapist is working. All that aside - the treatment itself was amazing. Anne did a deep tissue massage on upper body only which left me sore but helped loosen tightened muscles. I would totally recommend Anne - who gets 5*. Owner needs to consider providing all services including a nice welcome if they want return customers. Asking the therapist to change the table, check in guests, manage the door and sell gift cards when the lock malfunctions isn't a good choice. Let the therapists do what they excel at - treatments! I trust my kids to these doctors. They are well mannered and smart. My 9 year old with ankle tendinitis has been treated with care and compassion. I am thankful that Dr. Thompson, Frogley, and Wersland are close by for the important people in my life. Beautiful, professional, well-oriented staff and site. Rip off is an understatement. they promised great results, but didn't deliver at all. Put my daughter on a 12 week PLAN!! Plan was to extract $3700 from my wallet, charge my insurance company on top of that and then didn't provide the contracted and paid for services. No mid plan update, no mid plan xrays, no final update, no final Xrays to show all the great benefits of the Plan. Stay away from this place and keep your hard earned money in your wallet. they recommended so many supplements and orthotics and additional options that it was overwhelming to say the least. Wanting to do the Right thing for my daughter I bought it all!! They saw the sucker coming in the door and used a fathers love for his daughter to take him for all they could get. No way I would ever recommend anyone ever go here. found a place called the Joint. About 25 dollars a visit, no pressure, no contract, no waiting. Could have set my daughter to the Joint 2x a week for over 4 YEARS. Yep 2x a week for 4 YEARS for what I paid for the special offer of 24 visits 2x week for 12 weeks only $3700 and we are gonna stick it to your insurance company too. read more

I've been seen here for 2 1/2 months. Dr. Kirk Wersland had my knees injected with stem cells and PRP. My knees are doing so much better, pain free and I'm walking 3 to 5 miles every other days. In addition they have been working my back and neck as an overall systemic treatment. I must admit that I feel really good and each time I leave their facility it is like I received a massive dose of endorphins. I commend them on their beautiful facility and state of the art therapeutic equipment.
