Absolutely not okay! How is the legal when I went to Urgent care over 7 months ago I am getting a call about a collection!!! They never rececived my insurance information nor reached out to me and had an old address they contacted which is rare since I have updated all my profiles in the health apps! Is this illegal? I went to Granger Medical for an ultrasound. I had that done in October. I get a letter in the mail today saying that Clear Management Solutions is trying to collect a debt that I owe Utah Imaging Associates. I have never been made aware that my ultrasound goes to a second company to be reviewed. I never received a bill in the mail. I called Granger today to see why, and that's when I learned the news that they send the ultrasound to Utah imaging for a radiologist to review it. Why was this never told or explained to me? I am more than happy to pay any bill that is owed, but my insurance has already paid Granger I didn't know I was supposed to ask if this images were being sent to a third party. On top of this BS why wouldn't Utah imaging send me a bill in the mail first before sending it to collections?? What the helly! They obviously have my information why didn't they send me the bill first. Extremely upset. read more

This worthless so called business is terrible! The worst I have ever been involved in any way with. They never billed my insurance fo two 10 second x-rays taken at Brigham City Hospital , never sent me any kind of bill or notice, but sent for collection for $1200. You call the number listed and get some helper at Ogden Regional Hospital Radiology who has no idea about anything. then you call the billing number and get a person who can barely speak English and you can't understand at all who says they are in Georgia,. In another country it seems. This bunch should be avoided at all cost and effort. i will never allow any imaging anyplace in they are involved. read more

This company is terrible. They send no bill, don't attempt to send anything to your insurance. Send whatever they think you owe for preventive, fully covered services, straight to collections and then sue you if you don't pay up for things that your insurance would pay in full. read more

Where is Gephardt? The same as all other reviews. Was sent to collections in under 60 days without ever ever ever even being billed. It was in in-hospital emergency, covered 100% by insurance but they didn't bill my insurance OR invoice me at all. I learned I owed them from a collections call. I called them to tell them there must have been some kind of mistake and they agreed, said they would get it back, bill insurance and send me an EOB and I thought great... then I got served. I am beings sued by a collections agency who should never have been able to buy a debt I was not billed for or given a chance to pay. It's insane. Dr. Matthew Miller performed my breast biopsy at St. Marks. I had to wait a month following a mammogram that I have scheduled every year since 2014. Stress level of waiting is unnecessary. Dr. Miller called me the next day in a matter of fact way to report my biopsy was positive and followed up by telling me a breast navigator would be contacting me. 2 days later they called and were not helpful but they sent me a one inch thick book about "what is cancer" Dr. Miller failed to include some compassion and support. Basically it was just a routine conversation that has been life altering. Dr. Miller you can do better. Oh then just for the diagnosis of my cancer I was billed $16,000 for sub par care. If I could give a minus rating, I would. Find another place to get your X-rays and images done. This office does not have what most would consider reasonable business practices. I get the strong sense they don't know what they are doing, which makes me worry about the quality of the services they provide. This is not a competent office. First, they sent my bill to collections even though it was paid in full. Luckily I keep all receipts and could easily dispute the claim. When I called the collections company handling the error, they had the wrong information. The person on the other line claimed it was not a full payment and the outstanding debt was $4, which was once again inaccurate. It surprised me to discover they would ruin someone's credit for $4 dollars. Go somewhere where you will be treated with the dignity we all deserve. read more

Billing department is useless. EVERY TIME I have any x-ray, etc. Utah Imaging reads them and then I get a bill, rather than the VA (I'm a veteran). I've called them EVERY TIME to tell them to send bill to VA - they will send bill to collections and then I have to call collections and tell them to 'stick it' and to stop bothering me. After explaining to some knucklehead with at least half a brain, they figure it out. Their account receivables past 120 days has to be immense when it could be zero, if they didn't have their heads buried 'you know where' up to their waist. Funny outfit. LOL read more

Their billing department is inept. They failed to submit to my insurance, I called and had them do so and they stated i would get another bill in the event the insurance wouldn't cover the entire amount. I receive a notice from a collection agency stating I'm in default for $11.58. Reading reviews it seems this is common practice sending people to collection agency without giving us a chance to pay the bill. Get your accounting department in order. Obviously you have employees that need to go back to school as well as following what they instruct us to do and what they do. Never have I been sent to a collection agency!!! I just got a bill for $9.36 . Weird because they actually sent me 2 "bills" with 2 different account numbers for the same amount. I'm not even sure what date of service this is from. The letter sounds threatening - which is crazy for $9.36. First letter I received BUT no contact info for UTAH IMAGING- just another company to call. Frustrating to say the least! read more

Utah imaging sent me 31 bills all in one mailing most of them were from 89 cents to 120 cents no where on my hospital bills does it show their name so do I send them 31 separate checks they are a joke read more

I am giving 2 stars because of the billing policies and their department. The service was provided at Lone Peak Hospital, and they did an amazing job taking care of me when I had a breast lump scare. The billing policies and department: I am single mom who has gone back to school and found myself on Medicaid while I do this. I had a lump in my breast and went in to have a mammogram. During the mammo the doctor decided he needed to do an ultrasound to further diagnose the lump. At some point I signed a paper saying I was responsible for paying for anything my insurance did not cover. I signed a lot of papers that day, and it was all a blur because of the stress and anxiety I was feeling. I was later told that one of the papers I signed told me how much I would be charged, but I do NOT remember this at all. What I do remember is the feeling that I wouldn't receive the medical care I needed if I did not sign everything put before me. I later received a bill for $50 for the ultrasound. This may not seem like a lot, but it is a lot for a single mom paying for school and children. I was told several times a woman in the billing department that this was a discounted price, and I should be happy about that and just pay it. She was rude, and when the conversation became uncomfortable she hung up on me when I was telling her I signed a lot of papers that day without reading the pages of small print because I was under a lot of stress worrying about my diagnosis. I later followed up with Medicaid (they were extremely kind) who informed me that if I had signed the paper accepting financial responsibility, there was nothing she could do. She also told me that the facility knows that Medicaid does not cover the ultrasound, and they the KNEW if I had not signed the paper, they would have to write off the cost. She called Utah Imaging for me while I held on the line to see what had happened. She said the woman from billing was rude, and immediately told her I had to pay because I had signed the paper accepting responsibility. The Medicaid woman told me that in the future I did not need to sign anything accepting personal responsibility for the bill, and that Utah Imaging would have to write off the cost. Some may say that this is just, and that I am a drain on the system. My problem with this is that it does not address the fact that I was not allowed to make a truly informed decision about my medical care. There is no reason why I should have known about the option to not sign all of the papers. Those who are asked to sign those papers are part of the most vulnerable population around- low income, possibly low educated individuals who are terrified that they might have cancer. I am so disappointed in the process. This is more than Utah Imaging protecting themselves from business risks like me, a patient who could potentially cost them $50. It is about a company seeing more importance in the $50 than in a vulnerable patient population being adequately informed of their medical cost options. read more

This place is a joke when it comes to billing. You cannot access the web page needed to make your payment because of a server error. I did try to access this on multiple computers and phones in multiple areas. All of them came back with the same error. You can call the number but it is just a loop of a recorded message and after 3 loops it sends you the voicemail box and they never call you back. The only other option is to send the payment in the mail. I do not know about you but I do not like or fill safe putting payments in the mail as you never know who will get ahold of it. I was billed by Utah Imaging Associates for work that was not requested, approved or received. I have reached out to UIA twice to dispute the charges, however they refused to drop the charges. Initial I was told they would look into, and I would hear back, but they never returned my call. I assumed this meant the owned their mistake, but it was only a delay tactic. I have filed a dispute with the billing company, as well my insurance company, and have also filed a fraud claim with my insurance company since Utah Imagine Associates was never authorized by myself, nor my doctor, to perform any work. read more

I received an illegal text demanding payment for $5.95 or I'll be sent to collections. I have never received a bill for any such services. I was advised by a close friend who does billing and collections for a dental office that #1. a text can not include any dollar amount and #2. A bill can not be sent to a collection company that is under $100.00. I did call the telephone # provided in the text and no one answered and no voice mail service was provided. read more

AVOID this group of radiologists at all costs. They continue to bill you for services you have paid for, and your insurance paid for too. They are CROOKS, LIARS and thieves disguised as medical billing. They never answer the phones, and put you through hell. Would not accept the same insurance as the hospital we were treated at. Probably 6 different providers in the hospital provided some service but Utah Imaging is the only one we were forced to pay outside of our full insurance coverage. BEWARE! They operate in hospitals but don't take the same insurance the hospital does. They'll bill you as much as possible and you'll be left with a huge bill that your insurance won't cover. read more

My xrays were read by this firm via their contract with Ogden Regional Medical Center. The only real complaint with them is their billing department entered my address wrong. So I never received any bills from them. They had my contact information, but never bothered to call me and find out why the bills were being returned. Instead my account was turned over to a collection agency. My first notice that anything was wrong, is when they called me. I contacted the doctors billing service. They insisted I call the collection agency back to pay the bill. I informed them it was their mistake not mine. Only then would they take my payment! read more

This company is unethical. They never sent me a bill, they referred me to a collection agency, and when I called to make payment they would not take the payment. They also would not let me speak to a supervisor and then they hung up on me. Do not associate with the group as they will treat you like trash! read more
