I have been treated at other Chiropractic clinics, and they were a joke just like the VA Chiropractic clinic. This is no joke, but reality. The VA has turned down my authorization for care here, and alot of other VETS, because of their asinine ideas. I come here on my own now through my personal insurance as I know I get the care I need. The adjustments to my neck and back helps me make it through rough times. Combined with the deep tissue massage helps me dramaticlly. I have been to other chiropractor offices prior, incuding the VA and they are a joke. I will continue with the care at Doxey, as they go out of their way to help everyone in need.

I realized that seeing Dr. Burke on a regular basis has helped resolve a lot of my medical issues. I longer have issues with fibromyalgia, migraines, ibs. All of my blood work has come back with everything being within the normal range. Dr Burke in one of his classes suggested that having a thyroid test that you ask for a more in depth thyroid test instead of the standard thyroid test. That one is also normal. I am 61 years old and I don't feel like I am 61. I having been seeing Dr. Burke for about 4 years now. I believe what Dr. Burke says the body is designed to heal itself. Biggest bonus IMO is that he doesn't push you to do some long term treatment plan like most chiropractic places I've visited. In the 4 times I've gone, not once has he, pushed me to set up a regular appointment schedule. He has advised that I buy some herbal supplements, but I'm not in to those. My wife went a few times for some beck problems and now she swears by them. Cost for treatment seems below average from other chiropractors I've seen too.

I was able to do a brief consultation with Mike, who evaluated me, then used some mild pressure to work on the affected area. He said it would gradually get better and I'd be able to return to normal activities within a few days (this was on Friday). I was skeptical since I still could feel the knot/strain, though range of motion had improved, after leaving his office. Later that night, I could feel it getting better and my mobility improving. The next day it was barely noticeable and by Monday, I was back to running and lifting weights. I look forward to continue to work with Great Basin for adjustments and overall injury prevention.
