After completing the paperwork and providing my insurance card the receptionist told me I had to call and get authorization. None of the other "In network" chiropractors had me do that. The office and parking was a mess. I would not recommend this place; not customer friendly.

My first visit I payed out of pocket $50.00 I didn't have my updated insurance card with me (not an issue), the second visit I had my update insurance card. They entered My info to see what my insurance covered . When I inquired what my insurance covered , they told me that they could not tell, that they Would need to bill my insurance and then the insurance will tell them after . I should have been suspicious from then . When the bill came back for 340 out of pocket . If I had payed out of pocket from the start it would be $ 50 first visit 40 for the other 4 hrs plus 45 for 1 massage= total 255 What was actually billed insurance paid 150 + out of pocket 340 = 445. When I called discussed this with Doxey Family about the billing they nonchalantly said " well next time when you visit we can switch your billing to Out-pocket only since it would be cheaper" I replied with I'm not going back and paid the billed . Just be aware of your billing with Doxey family . Not going back!

I was able to do a brief consultation with Mike, who evaluated me, then used some mild pressure to work on the affected area. He said it would gradually get better and I'd be able to return to normal activities within a few days (this was on Friday). I was skeptical since I still could feel the knot/strain, though range of motion had improved, after leaving his office. Later that night, I could feel it getting better and my mobility improving. The next day it was barely noticeable and by Monday, I was back to running and lifting weights. I look forward to continue to work with Great Basin for adjustments and overall injury prevention.
