She exudes a wonderful calming effect on even the most hypochondriac / overly anxious / severely sleep-deprived new parents (read: me). She is always very gentle (even her voice is soothing) and I appreciate how quickly she follows up on my many emails and phone calls. We had a very rough delivery and first couple days in the hospital and I appreciated how she visited multiple times and then called to check up on my physical and emotional state after I got home. Dr Sanda came highly recommended by my (also much loved) OB-GYN Dr LaFollette. My OB actually gave me 3 referrals for Marin local pediatricians (all small practices run primarily by women doctors) but she correctly guessed I would really like Magnolia Pediatrics. I did informational phone interviews with all 3 offices and narrowed it down to 2 offices to scheduled in-person meetings. Dr Sanda was the first doctor my husband and I met in person and we didn't need to look any further. She was very thorough in answering all our questions about their evidence-based holistic medical approach, vaccines, development, sleep, circumcision, diet etc If you prefer small, intimate practices focused on evidence-based medicine like myself-- Magnolia Pediatrics is definitely the place for you. It is run by 3 women doctors and while I have not met the other two Dr Christie and Dr Kerl, I have heard nothing but great things about them from my doctors, Yelp and close friends who followed Dr Kerl from Prima Medical. Due to that, I feel comfortable seeing any of the other partners if for some reason Dr Sanda is not available. The reception and nursing staff are also all sweet, lovely and efficient -- especially when it comes to giving shots to our crying baby. The office has two separate waiting rooms for healthy and sick patients which is much appreciated, as well as a very comfortable nursing room. Parking is easy and location off the 101 is super convenient! They also have embraced patient tech like myChart so you can message your doctor, pay bills online, check health info and lab results and manage appointments. Lastly, unlike many other medical offices I have dealt with, I have not had any billing fiascos -- it's all been very smooth so far thankfully!!

I see her as I an adult Fibromyalgia patient (the listing sees her as pediatrician and she does see pediatric fibro patient) , and with her help I am feeling better and have hope for the first time in ages. She communicates clearly, is willing and even eager to work with any other health professionals who are helping you. She's helped me understand the ways my different symptoms interact. She has practical suggestions for how to deal with them while you are getting better If you have Fibromyalgia you've probably been seen by a doctor who was dubious about your diagnosis, or you've been offered pain meds or anti-depressants and told to go home. Dr. Congdon has had fibromyalgia, and that real understanding of what it really feels like to deal with this disease and that makes a huge difference. She's also well connected with communities of Fibro suffers and encourages you to connect with people who know what you are going through and have been through what you are going through. If you have fibromyalgia or know someone who does, head over to her website and learn more about Guaifenisen. If you are closest enough to come see her, or been if you think you aren't, come anyway. It's worth it.

Unfortunately, our experience with Dr. Gianna Frazee at Town and Country Pediatrics left much to be desired. Prior to this visit, we were seeing Dr. Ullom, who unfortunately left the clinic. We were then assigned a random pediatrician who turned out to be Dr. Gianna Frazee. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that the staff's priority was simply going through the motions rather than providing compassionate care. Despite expressing my concerns about my daughter's health and insisting on a blood work test to understand the underlying cause of her fever, Dr. Frazee seemed disinterested and dismissive. Not only did Dr. Frazee refuse to accommodate my request for a blood test, but she also seemed to prioritize ordering unnecessary tests for flu and strep throat, despite my daughter not exhibiting any symptoms related to these conditions. It felt like a rushed and impersonal visit, leaving me questioning Dr. Frazee's commitment to patient care. Additionally, I found it concerning that Dr. Frazee was unwilling to order the blood work test because it was a Friday afternoon, suggesting that the office doesn't work on weekends. I explained that the labs are open over the weekend and we could review the test results ourselves, but my concerns were dismissed. If she considers herself a good doctor she should be available for her patients outside of 9-to-5 office hours. Otherwise, it's a joke and not a doctor. When you're a pediatrician, you need to understand that sometimes you're dealing with worried parents and have to be compassionate instead of dismissing their concerns. Overall, our experience at Town and Country Pediatrics with Dr. Gianna Frazee was disappointing and frustrating. As a parent, I expect healthcare providers to prioritize patient care and communication, which was sorely lacking in this instance. I will be seeking care elsewhere for my daughter and would not recommend Town and Country Pediatrics to others in search of compassionate and attentive pediatric care. Update: We ended up going to an emergency, they did blood work and x-rays, and it turned out to be pneumonia on the left lung! This highlights again a total unprofessionalism and incompetence of Gianna Frazee.

One at a time and what is only recommended for school.... after I wanted 50 mins to see him. Here is what I got in return after I said that: -dr. Yamaguchi handled my son roughly and made him cry multiple times ( and he was supper happy n smiley with me on the table) and blamed it on "separation anxiety ", which my son does not have. -was told that I would have to go in every week if I wanted to do one shot at a time ( umm kids don't go to school till their five sooo NO) -told me the flu shot is not required for school but is required for their office ( I'm sorry excuse me???) -didn't even talk about it. Just told me that I live in Petaluma and their are great practices up there and he would be happy to transfer my sons paperwork. If you want no control over what u want for your kid and u want the doctor to decide everything for your kid then this is the place for you. But if u care about your kid and if u have specific needs or if you don't want certain vaccines or u just don't want to follow some made up rule just because or treat your kid roughly Because you as a parent feel one way.....then DONT go here!

The day after he was born, a pediatrician from GG pediatrics came into our room, introduced herself (Dr. Dana) and told us she'd checked up on Max. She was wonderful. The next day, the rounding physician did the same thing. We were discharged from CPMC with a somewhat yellow baby, and told to get a bilirubin lab the next day, to make sure the newborn jaundice wasn't dangerous. So of course, I go home, there's tons of relatives there, we're all having fun, and I didn't feel like getting the lab drawn the next day. Come on, I'm a physician, right? Well, Bill Gonda called me back personally, and told me to get my butt into the lab and get the test. Sure enough, the bilirubin was ...bad. So of course, then we got bilirubin lights delivered to our house in the middle of the night, we got more labs, things got a little worse, we ended up in the NICU, with our precious brand new baby under the lights, and we got through it. All through this, (weekends were involved), we had the support and personal phone calls from a number of pediatricians in the group (Mary Piel is phenomenal, too, incidentally), not to mention personal phone calls from Dr. Gonda checking up on my kid (NICU nurses saying, "oh, Dr. Gonda just called in," or "Dr. Gonda wants you to spend the night." ) He was always checking on Max, even when we probably didn't even know it. And here's the thing: he wasn't even on call that weekend!!! He doesn't get paid extra for any of this crap, and remember, this whole thing probably happened because I didn't feel like listening to him in the first place! Now that's great doctoring... Another reviewer said a lot of nasty things about the office, incidentally, and we totally disagree. It's a bustling, happy place, and we have never been seen more than 10 minutes after our appointment time. We get a lot of personal time with Dr. G, and we love the smiling and happy staff. The walls are bright pink! What's not to love?? It's a great place, and quite honestly, I think it's the premiere pediatric office in the city. Max is a lucky kid, to have such great doctors.

There is a Yelp entry for the practice, (http://www.yelp.com/biz/piel-patton-aicardi-and-gonda-mill-valley) and instead of adding her review there, she created a new one which reflects poorly on a consummate professional. Dr. William Gonda may be the single best pediatrician in the Bay Area. He has been our son and daughter's pediatrician since birth, and was highly recommended by virtually every parent that we asked prior. Dr. Gonda is a very smart doctor, with very good instincts. Our son has had Impetigo, Rubella, Roseola, a very serious Amoebic infection, and a massive poison oak allergy. Dr. Gonda has been calm, thoughtful, and helpful through these and the routine visits, and will often call to check in. He takes his diagnosis and treatment personally and makes you feel like your kids are as important to you as they are to him. If you can get Dr. Gonda, you are lucky.
