They even proudly claim their local tomato served in their tomato/mozzarella dish is the best - and amazingly it really tasted as if it was freshly picked. The serving sizes are perfect and I'd recommend ordering from their menu of the day - you get a special pricing based on how many dishes from the selection you want to order, and this ensures you are eating the freshest dishes from the menu. With pasta cooked and seasoned to perfection, lamb that is perfectly cooked, fresh succulent tomatoes, perfectly cooked risotto served with local egli filet, one can't go wrong eating here. They have a pretty good extensive menu for food as well, they have everything from pizza to salads to pasta and grilled shrimp and everything is pretty affordable especially for being in Switzerland. One of the best dishes I had was the mushroom risotto it was very very good and full of flavor. It was also nice that you could order the smaller or larger portion size which is always a great option for groups who like to share and try several plates. I highly recommend trying some of their deserts they are all very good as well. They had some deserts on the menu that I've never had anywhere else before and some I've never even heard of so we decided to try them since our server recommended them so highly and said they were some of the restaurants specialties and they were all very unique and very very good. It is pasta, and Switzerland borders Italy, a country highly associated with pasta. What did I have to lose? I ordered the ravioli because it was highly suggested by the wait staff and it is everything you would expect in a homemade ravioli dish. Expensive? Sure. But you get what you pay for here. We arrived there around 8.30 pm on a Friday evening and found the place to be very cozy and intimate, located in some sort of underground woody room. However, they had no free seats. The nice waitress told us they might get some free seats in half an hour, so we might just come back then. We left, thinking it will be for sure that we'll come across something at least as nice and we won't need to come back. We didn't. After half an hour we were there again, waiting to be seated. However, there were still no free seats and we had to cluster at a two people table all four of us and wait for another seat to get free. The people there were having lots of fun and the atmosphere seemed to be purely italian (probably that's as good as it gets for an Italian restaurant in Germany). Some of the customers, as well as the staff, were Italian, which is always a very good sign. We ended up waiting for another 20 minutes around, but it was well worth. I had the best pizza in my life there (pizza Parma). My boyfriend had veal steak with risotto (very good) and my other friends had Spinach pizza and pasta with sea food. Portions were huge, so we took the left overs with us. Oh, the tomato soup I had as a starter was one of the best I ever had.. and it only costed 4 euros :) Same is valid for the Tiramisu as a desert.. simply delicious. Add a bottle of wine to this meal of four and the bill was 95 euros. Used with Swiss prices, we found this to be extremely cheap, as well as the quality / price ratio to be super high. I assume they didn't speak German so well and English much less.. they forgot to add some extra toppings to our pizzas and often got parts of the order messed up (2 Espressos instead of one, different kind of wine than what we asked for etc.).
