The way it works is there's a class and a test. You have to pay for both the class, AND the test to get your CCW permit. Unfortunately, the cost of the test is some secret that they cannot disclose until the day of your class. I called them on the phone to ask the price of the test and was met with a rude Indian sounding secretary who would not tell me the price of the test and got angry that I would dare ask for such information. She started getting belligerent with me that I just wanted to know the price. She kept yelling "I'm not going to argue with you!!" Argue about what?? I'm just calling to know the price... This is the one and only CCW class I've ever been to and let me tell you, this is it, no need to look any further. This Husband/wife team is killing it! Very fun yet knowledgeable class. I can't say enough about the team over at USS Agency! The level of service, insight and comprehensive training is unparalleled within their field. I attended their CWP class the same weekend a friend of attended a class at another facility. After speaking with her on Monday, it was clear to both of us that even though we both "earned" our certificate.....one of us accomplished the goal of becoming a safer gun owner. When she told me that the extent of her gun handling experience during the training was firing it once into sand (as the team at USS Agency said was the standard), I was taken aback. We had such extensive hands on range time, that I ran out of ammo before I ran out of time. There is one thing I'd like to point out about the entire team at USS Agency. While they are clearly experts in all manner of firearms (and security and law enforcement), they are by no means gun fanatics. It was clear from the very beginning that their goal was to get you to understand that lethal force (while it's our right) is literally the last thing anyone wants to do. It was this angle that was really driven home when we studied the legislation pertaining to concealed carry. Best most affordable CCW class in town. They do it right; live instructor, no videos, and you shoot more than one round. Interactive format. You can get everything you need from them to submit a paper application or just take the class and go down to FDACS and apply electronically in person. I was very happy to hear him emphasize that shooting is a last resort and not to be taken lightly. The information presented was fairly balanced and we'll reasoned, unlike some courses. I took the CWP class and was extremely disappointed specifically with the gun range portion of the class. The classroom part was fairly boring, but I expected that given that the source material is state mandated and goes over all of the gun laws for the CWP. Where the class took a turn for the worse was the gun range. First, the charged $30 for a range fee, $30 for a gun rental, and $25 for 30 9mm rounds. While all of this seemed kind of pricey, I was willing to pay. However, then I learned that the gun range was 45 minutes away in Clermont (so add $30 in tolls and gas). The "range" is all of a field with dirt mounds and porta-potties. Then they tell us that they only have 6 rental guns for 30+ people to share. Everyone is standing in 100 degree heat waiting for a turn, while the completely unorganized instructor fumbles around trying to get each group through. After waiting for over an hour (I was nowhere near the last one in line), I finally got rushed through shooting 20 of the 30 overpriced rounds I purchased. At that point, if I want to finish the rounds I have to wait for everyone else to finish in the blazing sun. So I spent $85, 1.5 hours driving, and 1 hour waiting to fire 20 rounds. What a waste of time and money. I cannot recommend this place to anyone. They clearly do not have the equipment or facilities to handle this many people. I imagine it could be better with a smaller class, but this experience was one of the worst I have had. read more

It is an awesome place for concealed carry class, they are really teaching important and very useful stuff in a way that is easy to understand. Class is well organized, time and instructions at the shooting range are priceless. I talked to lots of friends that gone to different concealed carry classes and it always sounds like a waste of time. USS made learning fun. Great instructor and informative class however, the range is not well situated. It was elbow to elbow with the person next to you. It's unsafe. The casings were hitting me from the person to my left. Space should have been thought through. Additionally, the eye and ear package are so cheaply made. The ear plugs were so cheap. We paid 15$ and it was probably bought from a dollar store. It wasn't fitting right and you can get better ones from Walgreens. read more

We bought a Groupon for the Concealed Firearms permit class. I would recommend this class to everyone, no matter you're age, gender, or level of experience. Josh, did a fantastic job presenting the information in a way that made you want to learn more. Alright, this is going to be a very long review. I worked at U.S.S. Agency for about 4 months in 2018. The way things were organized were flawed and had issues. I was stressed beyond belief and worked past the schedule to make sure things were done. (Clocked off at said time and still had to work). Supplies were rarely ordered on time and days of classes were often hectic. It was craziness and very much unorganized. Communication was quite frankly awful. The managers were never in the office, and checks were never given out on time. It was always late and we did not receive pay stubs with those checks at all. You get paid two times a month and sometimes you don't get the amount you are supposed to for the hours you worked. I left them after a while because my mental health was bad, but I left on good terms because I don't want to be an ass. Fast forward to tax season. I was waiting for my W-2 and it did not come. I (and my fiance who worked there as well) called several times, sent messages, and were only told vague answers. It is now July, and we have yet to receive our W-2's. This is unacceptable for a business to not send the W-2's to their employees. We have not heard anything since then and have contacted the IRS so we don't get screwed over for someone else's mistake. This is very annoying to be this far in the year and not have anything about our taxes. I do not recommend anyone to work here at this company due to the mismanagement, lack of organization, and the ungodly stress that comes along with it. While many customers like this place for their concealed weapons course due to the instructors being very nice and friendly, this place can be overpriced. I will say that I am not sure if they've changed their prices. But when I was there, they had a Groupon that had the class for $10 and many thought it was the class and the range. It is just the classroom session. The range session (which you need in order to get your concealed weapons permit) is an additional price of $75-$100 (again, I am not sure if they've changed their prices). That range session gets you a little bit amount of ammo, and some cheap protective gear. Mind you, you now have to drive to the range which is about a 30-45 minute drive (I am not sure if they've changed the location of the range since then). It is not worth the money or stress to go out and do this class. If you want to support local companies, then go ahead. There are other options out there that can be more cost friendly, and all in one place. You may not get the one-on-one treatment as you do here, but the choice is up to you. I am very annoyed and upset at this company for not being on top of their stuff. The month is now July, and W-2's have still not been sent out. this is complete laziness and lack of leadership. Get your crap together U.S.S. Agency or you could face legal charges from the state of Florida for not doing what you are supposed to. read more
