We have a newspaper delivered weekly, which doesn't always get in our mailbox. The delivery person needs to be more conscientious when placing materials in mail slots. This has happened seven times in the past two years. Unfortunately, the neighbor getting it is not kind enough to bring it to us. read more

This USPS location is awesome! I just moved in to the neighborhood and this will be my post office, and I couldn't be more pleased. I was a little intimidated pulling into the parking lot because it was busy! I'm trying to knock out as many errands as I can today before the kids get out of school and I didn't want to be in here long. There was 10 people in line in front of me and I was still in and out in under 10 minutes! That's impressive! It was only two employees but they were working fast and efficiently to get everyone on their way. Got my package shipped with my receipt and tracking number in hand. I have been to many many post offices and I have to say this is the best. The location is easy to find and has plenty of parking spaces (although the parking lot itself needs some work on). It's a plus that it is really close to my house. The postal workers at the desk have ALWAYS been very personable, cheerful (even during very busy times), and helpful. I have never felt rushed to get my stuff mailed; they always answer my questions. The bins are always stocked with supplies so I don't have to wait in line to ask for what I need. The hours are great as well! Overall, this location and it's workers are great!!!! read more

This is an alright location. It isn't the best. My sister frequently uses this location to send packages out. Today, they had a trainee sending them out that didn't really know what to do. The process took over a half hour. The prices aren't too bad, but at least a little better than other places. The entrance can be confusing because there is a one way exit and one way entrance. We almost always accidentally pass the entrance. Isn't the easiest. They can be pretty busy. When I got my passport here, the process was all messed up. It was a headache. I wish I would have gone somewhere else to be honest. They messed stuff up and we had to fix it. They told us false information for my little sister as well, because she was a minor. read more

USPS-Washington Twp. delivered item I purchased online today. Instead of leaving the box on the dry concrete next to my garage door, it was left on a pile of snow and ice. There was about a foot between the concrete and snow/ice. The covered front porch would have also worked, but apparently that also would take too much effort. The box was soaked through when I got home from work. Very lazy and unprofessional. read more

Walked in at 10:35 and 26 seconds according to my dash cam. Prior we were waiting for a parking spot for 23 seconds. We were told we were 6 minutes late and basically "too bad." This was our scheduled appointment since the post office canceled our first appointment . We actually realized we held the door for the passport supervisor that we were meeting with for a renewal. He was smiling (especially at my teenage daughter) and practically racing to his car realizing he has an opportunity for a free break. We were not greeted once inside so we just stood there for 1 minute and 10 seconds until we realized no one from the passport services was here now "because we were five minutes late." We were not. My son with disaabilities was now clearly upset at the lobby and this was not our doing. We were told you're six minutes late. We weren't according to my data. Such an uncomfortable and inappropriate experience. I would recommend a different post office for any postal needs. It just all felt so unecessary. read more

I often get other peoples mail and after work I drive to the locations and give people their mail that accidentally got into my box. Thank Jesus a lot of people in my own subdivision have brought mail to me that got into their box for some reason. I am speaking of the washington post office on old van dyke. One man answered his door and saw me with a letter in my hand and when I went to give it to him he said he was wishing I was from Ed Mcmans sweepstakes. Wish I was! read more

I was in a rush and not in the best mood during this busy time of the year but the employees were so gracious and kind with me. I really appreciated how well they provided service. I would give them a negative star if I could. We moved to Washington Twp. approximately 3 years ago and we have had nothing but problems with the mail services. We constantly get our neighbor's mail and they get ours. There are times when we do not even get any mail. Last year we ordered medication for our dog and this post office lost it in the wheel well of one of their mail trucks in 90 degree heat. We did get reimbursed for that but our dog had to go a few days without medication. Just recently we ordered medication for our son and paid $25 for overnight shipping. We received it 2 days later. My wife called the post office and they told her on the phone that they would reimburse her for the overnight shipping. Once my wife got to the post office they advised her that there is no guarantee for overnight shipping and would not reimburse her. This post office is the worst one I have ever had to deal with in my 50 some years in Michigan. I get the impression that the postal workers at this location are not really focused and for the wages they make you would think the services would be much better. If you have the opportunity utilize another USPS location. read more
