She has a little business going through Poshmark, which means I take a lot of trips to the post office. I have tried other post offices in the area, but this is consistently the best. The Mount Clemens post office has been closed three times due to Covid already. It's closer to my house, but it's about 50-50 it will be a wasted trip. The chesterfield post office is generally good, but the dropbox in the lobby area is currently broken. This is how I drop off packages many times, so this is a problem, too. Besides everything being in working order, the business hours are extensive so you can get your packages scanned the same day. They are currently limiting five people in the main lobby at a time, but it moves reasonably quickly. The outer lobby area is very well equipped and well-maintained, with the ability to print your own postage as well as a fully functioning dropbox. Most crucially, packages you drop off in the 24 hour lobby after hours are generally scanned the next day. This is significantly better than most places are doing these days. And, despite the pressure of being in this line of work, everybody I have dealt with at the counter has been professional and friendly. I know my packages are in good hands when I bring them here.

My daughter has started selling enclose online, and this is one of the services they use. Fortunately, The Postal Shop is able to scan packages by SpeedX. Better still, they also accept packages from UPS and FedEx. This saves me 15 minutes each way going to the closest location for those services. And, of course, they also scanned USPS packages. As an extra bonus, the shop has cool, knickknacks, and snacks. The Farmer jack supermarket chain closed down in 2007, but they have a coffee mug with the logo on it that brought back memories. See if you can find that at any post office or UPS shop. They are also open on Saturdays, which most USPS locations are not. I will definitely be coming here again for all my postal needs, regardless of what kind of label it is.

Staff is very professional and friendly, knowledgeable and offers great solutions. Prices are reasonable and it's nice to see they offer a small selection of products from local artisans. My favorite part of visiting this store are their dogs. Quiet and friendly but sweet and lovable. Dog treats are aren't required but I promise if you bring some you will have new friends.

That was the case today, so I decided to try a different post office. Fraser post office to the rescue! They are tiny, and out-of-the-way, which really helps in this particular case. And, the lady behind the counter could not have been more friendly. She had no problem scanning the 18 packages I brought in, and we had a nice conversation as she did so. I think I may have found a new favorite post office.

Bought a book of 20 for some extras. Parking is a bad set up, if you park along the building, your only walking path is the driveway. It's a very small post office inside. Not the warmest or friendliest of staff here at all. 20 stamps for $11.60.
