Worker states that he can not print a shipping label that I already have and wanted me to purchase different shipping since he can't print it. (Went to the library next door and printed for 10 cents..) If my customer had not have pre chosen the shipping carrier I would not deal with this usps. And it has a cool little historic district with small businesses, antique shops, restaurants, and coffee shops, as well as a thriving art and theatre scene. Despite its large size, the employees here aren't very friendly. Lisa was the clerk and she was abrupt and impersonal. I purchased some cards from the greeting card kiosk along with some stamps with nary a thank you or smile. I also went to the Visitor Center down the street and bought some postcards to mail. (By the way, the lady in the visitors center was so helpful and sweet!) I found out that the first post office here was established in 1792 and used to be in the basement of the Federal Building. When she did wear one it was WAY too big and ill-fitting to the point of uselessness. When I spoke to the manager Chelsea on the phone, she told me that nothing could be done, no one could make them wear masks and non-masked people could not be separated from the public and then it was, "if you're that scared, then stay home." I had already explained I usually print postage online but had no option today. No concern that 150,000 Americans are dead and the post office lobby was full of seniors today. No concern for public or employee health. Just attitude.

I have come here with complaints about my mail delivery and they were very professional and kind, addressing the problems sincerely and telling me how to take the next steps. I always come here to mail my international letters and packages. The line moves quickly and they are open later than some of the surrounding offices. Sign on the window states the lobby is open until 6pm, but the staffed help desk closes at 5pm.

I have tried multiple times to call the office concerning some packages I knew I would possibly have trouble getting delivered to me on a Saturday because I always do, and every single time I tried calling, for two days in a row, after selecting the option to speak to a human, the only service I got was listening to the phone ring about 10 times then turn into a busy signal, and I am not exaggerating! I really needed those packages because they contained food for my cats, dogs, bunnies, along with paper towels and toilet paper, all of which I was and as I write this review on a Sunday night, am still out of because of the lack of caring on the postal delivery 's part, not to mention the fact that the excuse given as to why my packages were not delivered was a fabricated lie.. I have informed delivery service within the USPS app and have had for years in order to keep up with my mail and packages, and I sst and watched all day Saturday for my packages to show up out of sheer desperation for my animals to have food and me and my kids to have toilet paper. Of course when I checked the status of my packages the 100th time, I notice that there was a message in red that my packages were undeliverable due to animal interference! I immediately broke into tears out of frustration, anger, and helplessness!! I am disabled and on limited income, plus I have no vehicle, and i have never had to make my animals due without food. I treat my critters as good as i treat my kids and the thought of them being hungry and having no food was almost too much to bear! I have no way to the store, no family to depend on to bring me items from the store, nor would it matter because i have $0 anyway!! And being Saturday, i knew it would be Monday evening at best before i could get the packages..plus i do have dogs, which don't bite and have never stopped the mail person from coming down here any other time , plus i was home at the supposed attempted delivery time of 4:31pm and watching for them to arrive to no avail..so either the mail person flat out lied about the attempted delivery, or tried to leave them at a residence other than the correct one being mine..and this isn't the first delivery gone wrong on the weekends that is why i was trying to get a hold of a postal worker in the office because i was unable to leave delivery instructions for each package under informed delivery because it showed that was unavailable to do for each package! So thank you to the USPS for me not having human food to eat now because i had to basically empty my fridge and cabinets of any critter safe food to feed my 3 big dogs, bum my aunt for dry cat food which i shouldn't had to do, and cut up perfectly good t shirts to use in place of paper towels/toilet paper..and to beat it all, i can't even schedule redelivery service because that is unavailable under informed delivery as well!! Talk about a headache along with causing increased anxiety, stress, and worries for a person who already suffers from major depressive disorder along with anxiety disorder and PTSD, SO thank you unreliable delivery mail person..i really appreciate all the chaos you caused because of your lack of compassion..Surry, sorry service from all aspects! ​
