Staffed by the typical kind of low-class, low-IQ local trash you expect to find in places like these. The tone was set by the three stooges that comprised security. One old white man whispers some dismissive nonsense to me, then screws up his face like he just ate a lemon when I can't hear him. An overweight Spanish woman who asks me to step through as if she were addressing a retarded child, and an Asian co-bumbler who thinks he's performing God's work.
Once in the inside waiting area you experience varying levels of helpfulness. The waiting itself was punctuated by an old Chinese woman with an Edward Scissorhands haircut who'd pop out like an idiot cuckoo clock every so often to yell out numbers at the throng of subdued greencard hopefuls: "Ten! Nigh! Eigh! Seveh!" The best part was when she approached a man while actually clapping her arms loudly in an effort to get his attention. She actually CLAPPED her worthless arms as she approached! "I talk to you, you no listen!"
Later, we saw the same woman outside talking in Chinese with what was obviously a friend of hers, another old lady. She was full of sugar and spice. "Oh, yes, my son, you know, he already makes a lot of money, I don't actually need this job" and the rest of the typical Asian parent show-off nonsense. In mid-conversation, she turned to scream at another Chinese person who was there looking for help before turning back to her friend. Did I mention she absolutely refused to speak Chinese with anyone who was obviously a Chinese speaker and utterly lost? A self-hating idiot trying to elevate herself by reserving a particular type of scorn for those who came from the same place she did. What a pathetic waste of life.
These are the people who staff the gateways to American citizenship. Why someone would ever want to subject himself to the trouble of coming to this joke of a bankrupt country to even breathe the same air as these subhuman wastes of life is beyond me, unless of course it is a means to an end.
For what it's worth, the first visit there was a lot more fortunate. We were met by friendly and cooperative people. Still, that means little when dealing with these kind of revolting imbecile bureaucrats.
Two stars because, in spite of themselves, the staff with whom we directly dealt did help us finish our task as easily and painlessly as can be expected in hell holes like these. read more
